Aujourd'hui, 19 août 2015, c'est l'anniversaire de mon fils, Moana-Stéphane, né à Tahiti il y a 46 ans... émotion... j'ai envie de pleurer... souvenir de la Petite Île Sacrée, de la voix Gabilou qui nous berçait, et de mon fils qui ouvrait grand les yeux dans ce paradis en 1969... ça semble loin, mais c'est présent en moi chaque jour, jamais je n'oublierai...
J'ai passé 2 ans en polynésie de 1970 à 72, j'ai connu Gabilou ainsi que le groupe de danseuses a Madelaine , que de souvenirs inoubliables, j'ai 76 ans maintenant & j'aimerais bien y retourner.

We had a dance group from Samoa who performed a Cook Island dance to this song at the Tropical Island venue in Brandt Germany in 2006. It was wonderful!

Nice song, terrible video editing with excessively fast cuts that give you barely enough time identify the subjects of one shot before it cuts to the next. Very distracting and prevents the viewer from absorbing the boat form, the beautiful female forms, or anything else. There's no logical sequence to the cuts, either. Now we're on the beach, then under weigh, then back on the beach, then under weigh again, etc. If I were the performers, I'd be pissed at the moron video editor who f**ked this up. Or more likely he was a general director, because it doesn't seem like the video footage was even shot with a coherent plan.
