Nah, you can be undefeated against everyone you’ve for real fought in street fights. Likely their opponents had no training or didn’t want to fight them in the first place or they were chosen as an opponent cuz they were smaller/weaker or whatever. It’s like being undefeated in online chess but you have it set on beginner or some shit. Lol Why anyone without training thinks they can just beat a trained fighter, even a low level trained fighter who’s still new, is crazy, they’re just delusional af. 😆 They’re just signing up to take a beating but too dumb to realize it.
1:59 I was coaching a mma gym in my hometown and this happened to me. A guy walks in near the end of practice and starts talking to me, not knowing I was the coach. He talked about how he could out strike and grapple anyone in the gym, including the coach. I told him there was sparing the next day and he could fill out a waiver and take part. He showed up, I picked him apart on both the feet and ground, then explained to him that I was the coach. He then lost 3 rounds to a beginner before finally sitting on the side of the mat. We talked for a bit about humility and respectfulness. He left the gym and returned 4 months later. He apologized and asked if he could train.
I respect that you were able to be the better man and teach the man about humility and respect. Clearly it worked too if he came to apologize and pursue training under you.
@@stanislasflipo7214 Jiujitsu bro realized other dude was completely fucking lost after the "that was lucky" into IMMEDIATELY giving away his back again 😂😂
Used to train BJJ and my favourites was always chokes there is a certain dominance and sheer defeat in putting your opponents in them. Never got really good at it to be honest but had fun and was in peak performance back then, it takes some stamina and good physical condition to roll for an extended time.
I was a Tae Kwon Do student, reached 2nd Degree Black Belt, but even I know better than to fight Muay Thai fighters. The big difference there is the mentality of a martial art where fighting is determined by scoring points and touch contact, and a martial art where fighting is determined by knock outs.
That black belt didn’t know how to fight close up though, shouldn’t be doing reverse side kicks when you’re that close. I’m a 1st degree black belt but my brother (4th degree) also teaches me how to fight close so that’s from my experience at least. But I do agree that an experienced Muay Thai fighter will win in any fight.
Agreed. The Taekwondo guy also didn't do as bad as most of the other guys in this video. He blocked most kicks, besides the leg kicks which aren't used in TKD. Kept getting his kicks grabbed, which also isn't used exactly like that in TKD sparing. Overall, TKD is a good attribute of MMA but it's not competitive with MMA.
I got to Red Belt in TKD, and I've now moved into kickboxing and BJJ. I can tell you I don't think I would have wanted to go into a fight with a kickboxer or muy thai fighter with just my TKD knowledge. I would probably be dominated.
Does your 2nd Dan black belt allow you to be an assistant trainer at the dojo as well? In my school that was how that went. That is why I didn't stop at my 1st degree black belt. The confidence of learning in a full-contact with pads dojo is really something. It builds muscle memory, unlike katas as well. If you haven't used combat sparring, even in training with pads, you will get a big lesson in humbling yourself after getting in a fight. I had to learn boxing as well for the hands, then went into MMA and BJJ.
Those wild overhand swings can really mess up your entire arm. I know this because before I started boxing I kept doing those now i have to live with the pain every day because I kept doing those. I'm still new to boxing only been 3 months but ive improved a whole lot since day one.
There is this guy whose YT channel is "Squat University", and along other subjects, he teaches exercises to improve shoulder stability and strength, which also help to reduce pain. I hope that pain goes away!
I’ve done a little bit of training. Nowhere near enough to be considered a fighter but what people who never trained fail to realise that even if you take the skill out of it. The fitness and composure of someone who trains is another level. Then when you add the skill to it you have a 0% chance of beating that person
Real martial artists show humility. They were taught to fight to defend themselves, not to go picking fights with others. That Taekwondo guy took up the practice for all the wrong reasons, then got his ass kicked.
My favorite series from arako these keep getting better and better haha stay humble guys go out train and learn to defend yourself properly stay safe respect.
Honestly say what you want but respect to the taekwando guy at 7:00 at least out of all the people in these vids he used his actual training and didnt just swing his arms about hoping to hit his target
That last dude I've seen fight on Strelka and Top Dog, dude is a good fighter but he's fucking insane. Love the content arako , all the series are right up there. 1m subs before you know it
Tae-Kwon-Do black belt actually had some crazy moves. Just left him a bit too exposed. He caught his balance quickly and effectively though multiple times it was actually pretty impressive.
Flashy moves can easily get a TKD fighter rocked or KO'd by another trained practitioner of the martial arts. They are almost always useless in true combat, unless it is your life's passion and you have trained for a long time. It took 9 years to get my 1st Dan, then one year after that for the test to get the first gold stripe.
@@colematuschka9252 the studio I practiced at had us do mandatory Muay Thai and BJJ sparring for our TKD program to advance to the next belt and it really gives the perspective you’re talking about. Muay Thai / BJJ is definitely more combat oriented and TKD is more about discipline BUT it’s really helpful to be well rounded and have a little knowledge in all fighting styles. Congrats on getting to black belt though, it takes a lot of dedication to work up to doing that last big day of testing.
Probably never been in a fight in his life. Martial arts just condition the body and teach effective bio mechanics. Everything else is learned in real fights.
We gotta stop saying that these guys are brave or have balls, It is complete Ego that pushes these guys to challenge trained fighters. Having balls or being brave is standing your ground and defending yourself when a trained fighter is threatening or attacking you. Walking around saying you can beat up trained fighters is just delusion and arrogance.
Bro i watched something like that happen before. I was very new to a muay thai gym i was training at and a random guy came in and dropped a challenge. First he got handled by my instructor who at the time was a muay thai champ then he got beat from the owner of the gym who was a elderly man but he messed this guy up. I almost felt bad for the guy but he started it. What was even funnier was the guy had to pay for a months worth of training too we never saw him again after that 😂
I trained at an MMA gym near a marine base and we would always get cocky marines coming in wanting to test themselves. That's where I came in. Most of these guys would be bigger than me, I'm 140lbs. I always had a chip on my shoulder because I would get rag dolled by guys heavier than me and with much more experience, on the regular. So whenever I got to go against guys with little training, I wouldn't hold back.
All martial artists, no matter their style, resort to some form of kickboxing, wrestling, and grappling when faced with an opponent in the ring. The ones who actually train in kickboxing, wrestling, and grappling styles will wipe the floor with the ones who don't.
Not for nothing but everytime I see this video in my feed the thumbnail immediately makes me think it's some kind of game trailer for a new ufc game or something lmfao 😂
The funniest thing about the taekwondo vs muaythai fight is that giving muaythai fighters the disadvantage of only using kicks is not a disadvantage at all lmao Specially when we can disable another fighter's whole style just by destroying the legs.
That Muay Thai fighter just teeping the humbleness into that guy and sending him flying, spent more time on the canvas than Picasso 😂 Muay Thai is a fucking tough art, don’t mess with those guys.
that first dude did 15 rounds in 1 minute, I've had friends over the years that have asked me to teach them some boxing that looked _way_ better than he did
I think the problem with tai chi mastres isn't necessarily their style, it's that they are confusing practicing form with applying form. you have to practice the form, and then you have to apply it against other opponents who are trying to knock you out. do this and you learn how to actually apply the form. Imagine if people trained in boxing just by shadowboxing alone.
Is it me, or did the last guy beating the "Wu Shu Master" look an awful lot like Oleksander Usyk??? I know Usyl is a South Paw, but it just grabbed my attention for a second lol
I don’t claim to be a fighter. I don’t even claim to be tough. I do train in Brazilian JiuJitsu and Muy Thai. I know I could defend myself from an untrained fighter without too much trouble. I know for a fact that me today could beat the living snot out of me from 5 years ago. If you haven’t had any formal training and the person across from you has, no matter how many street fights you’ve been in, no matter how many you’ve won, think twice. Hell, think four or five times. 99% of the time you’ll get you head handed to you. BTW, if you see someone with cauliflower ear, stay clear. That’s an experienced grappler.
Maybe gyms could have a challenge day. If you think you got what it takes, take on a trained professional. Maybe more folks will realize, it takes more than just confidence.
Idc how good of a fighter I think I am..why tf would I walk into a gym and challenge someone who professionally fights for a living...no brain cells fr.
Funny these 'masters' want to fight anyone. They obviously haven't ever been in an actual fight because their distance control and awareness (for the ones who can actually kick or strike) is awful.
Do not mess with Thai boxing. It's a legitimate combat style. When I see foreign Muay Thai boxers in Thailand, you can see that they started in boxing and have better hand speed and power, but they don't have the experience with the kicking. Still, they're TRAINED in the sport. A good Thai boxer will kick your legs out from under you and throw you around. I've seen Thai kickboxers break legs in the ring.
I was a semi pro muya Thai kickboxer for many years. It is one of the most brutal martial arts by far bro. I remember my first fight was against a kung fu guy and he didn’t even land a single punch. One kick to the head and he was crawling back to his corner hahahahahah
He second video guy (mma gym) is hella lucky that the trainee doesn't know or doesn't want to kick him otherwise one calf kick would have obliterated that mans abilities to walk for a week
I've always had an interest in learning how to box just for the sport, and i cannot even begin to fathom how some people are willing to go so far to prove something they know they can't. Why don't people just say, Hey i'm looking to learn how to box, could i join some light sparring or coaching?
kiatsonggrit changed kickboxing to more or less what it is today. he fought the legendary rick rufus, an american kickboxer, and showed the difference between thaiboxing kicks vs the kickboxing style from that day. and that was with getting his jaw broken early into that fight. very worth watching the rick rufus vs kiatsongrit fight, its pretty epic.
Back in the 90's in Pattaya Beach, myself and some of my USMC pals walked by this bar and the biggest of us wanted to try the little kick boxer guys. I advised against it since I saw them earlier practicing in the back by kicking 4x4 poles cemented in the ground with their shins. The only people trying this were wasted drunk and got hurt promptly.
