People who go for cheap shouldn't expect quality, you get what you pay for. Theres a diffewrence between buying a fake at full price and believing its real, to buying something worth £100 for £9.99 at a market
The penalties given to those who are caught seem very minimal, not more than a slap on the wrist. More serious penalties for these type of things might be a better answer to stop it.
my mums late fiance had mesothelioma from working with asbestos for years without a mask, he was so active, went skydiving and bungee jumping, traveled the world and got the most outta his whole life. But it didnt soften the blow when he suddenly collapsed and died at the age of 65... he got sick, they diagnosed him and he didnt think it was such a big deal, didnt listen to the doctors and wanted to take one last trip to hawaii with his son and he never made it, he died the night before they left.. it was so sudden and shocking that we couldnt even comprehend that it even happened, it was such a cruel and unfair illness..
Holy crap this episode just made me realize that the two accidents that my mom and I have had where the back tires basically exploded twice on the same vehicle, and while my mom and I just heard a loud bang followed by the whole vehicle being rattled my mom just pulled over to find the tire had practically exploded, we have no injuries or anyting, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse. And one of the tires was brand new and had only been on our vehicle for a couple of days. Both of these occurrences happened on the interstate the second and most recent one left us strained on the on-ramp. ( my mom was driving both times)
@@joshbacon8241 well we could have been hit at 60 or so mha and both actually happened at night not only that but we could have not been lucky enough to be able to pull cuz the 1st one happened 3 lanes from the shoulder.
They're handy. I've had a few that completely take the top of the can off, but you're then left with no ridge on top of the can & It can slice your finger.
Why would anyone put budgets on a car with your kids in. You can get a decent budget for £50. Never known anyone to have trouble with atleast a known brand budget like for example acceleras. Also the tyre test is rubbish a shit tyre is what it is a poor repair is unlikely to affect the tyres wet road resistance. Thats just a crap tyre probably some proper cheap nasty budget. Just use a reputable garage for example a franchise dealer theyll very rarely sell poor peforming rubbish budgets.
For my welding filters, I got them from a reputable retailer so unless they are fake too, it is a way to make sure they are genuine. That being said you do have to put a lot of faith into what you buy!
I find it amusing that the woman who had part worn tiers put on her car, claimed the sellers were putting peoples lives at risk, it may have escaped her notice that she is doing the exact same thing by having that rubbish fitted in the first place knowing they had been on a different vehicle. She has a monster people carrier, a monster that does probably less than 20 miles in town per gallon, if she can afford to run and insure that thing then she should fit it with new tires and not part worn. Knowing she has had part worns fitted = shared responsibility when the shit hits the fan.
Loftworthy Obviously top show going on in her life. She should save money on a smaller car and use only new tyres. Stop trying to impress her friends and neighbours.
As we've seen from offering the kitchen 'Nest 8' product to people in the street, the automatic thing for people to do is to pick the cheaper item of the same type because why would someone pay more when they have something (in their mind) that does the same thing? And scammers know this and that's why they undercut because 9 times out of 10, people don't want to pay more if they don't have to. Not only that, the responsibility is on the seller who is passing their items on to others if that/those items turn out to come with negatives conditions. They owned the item before you so if there is faults or flaws with it, any negative results should be imposed on these people. ESPECIALLY if it's a business seller as they should know better and should have some experience in the items they're selling.
I buy what is called "80% tyres", they are at least 80% tread and are fairly new. They typically come off vehicles which are upgrading to mag wheels and of course, need new tyres. You can ask for these or if you are in no rush, ask to be contacted when they get some. You save a lot of money and get good tyres, the last ones I bought were near brand new. Also, don't get recaps. Basically the tyre carcass is stripped and a new tread put on. If the tread is not perfectly straight it leads to imperfect traction, I don't need to explain how bad that can be. No matter how good they are, it's not worth your life.
Having viewed several of this series, it would seem. That even for the worst offenders, the court sentences are a joke. If judges were to begin handing down sentences equivalent to that of the great train robbery for manufacturers in country of either fake or publicly dangerous products, the shock effect would have a dramatic difference upon criminals, who now seem to get a slap on the wrist. While it seems that there. Are sufficient laws regarding standards and fakes and there may be sufficient enforcement personnel, unless the judiciary reconsiders their sentencing, the problems will increase exponentially.
Both folks with the kitchen ware are suspect to me - If you look carefully it appears the man is pushing down on the can lid to show it "wasn't opened." The owner of joseph joseph does the same when showing the scoop - He never removes his finger, and you can see him pressing down on the spoon, keeping it in contact with the table. I'm sure the fakes are shit, but c'mon.
Yeah, this show tries to make every fake item seem dangerous or useless, when in reality many are quite decent quality, that said, ideally you should never knowingly buy fakes.
where are these fakes being made, does anyone know. I fear it will be china, because no one has said we can sue the copyers for infringement of copy right protection.
If Britain could be arsed to make their own stuff and stop having things coming in from abroad then more jobs will be created, much more plus a lot less fake products will be coming into the country
@@lukejohn1277 are you stupid? Cigarettes are healthy. They keep you alive for much longer. A lot of drs reccomend to smoke at least 5 or 6 a day to keep a healthy lifestyle
Max Jefferison Many old buildings still have asbestos in them. As long as it’s not disturbed or falling apart so that the particles become airborne, you can safely be in the building on a daily basis.
Honey, don't blame a car tyre for your careless driving skill. You know you fucked up in the first place and the tyres have nothing to do with the accident.
Ever bought a second hand car? did you change the tyres immediately on site? no you didn't. Part worns are fine so long as the workshop is doing their job and checking their tyres. This is some scaremongering shite lol. I am a mechanic for a dealership and no we don't sell part worns. but this is outright bullshit.
£100+ each for tyres on a shitty old Vectra? Pull the other one, Matt - you'd have to start a new show about people being ripped off otherwise. And a "partner" who sends his bird to get part worn tyres? I'm guessing they aren't male otherwise he sounds like a right sap.
