But I constantly see attempts to: run AAA Windows games, replicate a user friendly interface like in Windows, run Windows productivity software like in this video. So, Linux is a platform in everlasting catch up run for a proof of purpose of its own existence.

Like, what are you even doing here? The purpose is super clear, he's installing a fix (fake GHA) so that he's able to test applications on his lab, which means he can now test a wide range of application inside of a windows virtual machine before pushing them to a real computer (production). You probably click every single link you happen to see on facebook so you never even thought about opsec or cybersecurity as a problem in the first place because the 16 different data brokers that are fighting agaisn't each other to resell your information finally came to a conscensus that can all f* you equally if they take turns. Second Problem is that if you push an application to your main rig and it ends up creating an unexpected bug, you are playing with fire and potentially creating bugs which can result in lost production time trying to repair that machine/debug/return the machine to the previous state.
