Fake Sand: Painting a Bare Bottom Aquarium 

Check out this cool way to make your bare bottom aquarium look like it has sand! I first did this in 2008 and posted it on my site:

In this video, I showed 4 different colors of the Rust-Oleum American Accents Stone texture paint:
Stone Sienna which I paired with Krylon Gloss Leather Brown
Stone Pebble which I paired with Krylon Gloss Khaki
Stone Black Granite which I paired with Gloss Black
Stone Gray Stone which I paired with Gloss Smoke Gray
This is a great way to have a faux sand bare bottom aquarium in a variety of different colors. If you want or need your fish tank to be free of substrate but you want to stop the reflections then this is an attractive DIY way to make your aquarium look great.
