I always love seeing Tim do Sequelitis videos as he is actually more positive and fair with his analysis compared to Arin's negative and one sided arguments.

You don't need me to tell you that I love seeing you do this kind of thing. The cutaways to 'random' pictures always entertain because there's a certain language to them where it's "if you know, you know." Like the cutaway to that picture of Spider-Man in the symbiote suit when you say "I like it." You have to know that that's a picture of Spidey enjoying the new powers the suit gives him, and that's the joke. It's a bonus for people watching the thing attentively all the way through (and the advantage of a VIDEO essay). But seriously, what I love about your videos like this is just how heartfelt they are. They're not some galaxy-brained literary analysis of whatever you're reviewing, but they're damn sure going to be the only review talking about the things that you do. You have such a unique perspective on every game/movie you review, and usually that view is a special kind of joy that's infectious. What I take away from your video essays is pretty much always "this is why we love these things." In a world that likes to overanalyze and recontextualize the media of yesteryear, your videos are always what they should be: real fun. "Done, done, onto the next one" I say.

I like listening to Tim talk about movies. I watched this movie for the first time recently after Cobra Kai Season 4, but hearing someone talk more deeply about it gives me more appreciation for it.

I really liked you using your parent's perspective at the beginning of the video. It just brings another side that really sells the point you're trying to tell. I really like seeing these scripted style videos from you, Tim. I think you have some nice insight on something, and I would love to see you do more of it. The way you put your thoughts into words and explain how you feel about something has always been something i love seeing from you. And the way you described Kreese's situation where antagonists aren't really shown off after they're beaten, and karate kid 3 actually giving him screen time showing where he's at, I think that's pretty cool. It reminds me of how in One Piece, after a lot of the villains are beaten, the manga does cover pages that tell their own stories of what certain characters, often times the villains of certain arcs, are up to after having been soundly defeated by the main characters, and it's really cool to see. Glad you're making these still Tim, they're a total joy to watch, and I hope to see more in the future.

Karate kid is one of those franchises that I watched growing up and didn't really think much about, would never really think back upon it, but listening to you talk about it fondly with nostalgia makes it seem a lot more fun than I remember, I'm glad you made this video

I've been getting into Cobra Kai recently, and I wasn't alive back when the original trilogy came out, but this video is really good for helping understand the trilogy, at least through your eyes. Nice job, Tim! Fake Sequelitis has always been a very *you* series and just very "unique"

One thing I've always preferred about Karate Kid 2 over 1 is I always liked Kumiko over Alli (also, fun fact. The actress for Kumiko, Tamlyn Tomita, voices Kiko Hayashi from 007 Nightfire, which is 20 years old as of 2022). Also, the main villain from that game, Rafael Drake, is voiced by actor Michael Ensign, who was the snooty hotel guy in Ghostbusters (another snooty hotel guy in Pink Floyd's The Wall), a minor character in Wargames and apparently Titanic (the last of which I've surprisingly yet to see).

As a person who has 0 investment in Karate Kid, I appreciate all the Dai Gyakuten Saiban references and I hope that that's an indication of the fact that we'll be getting some of Tim's footage of that soon-ish. Though I do vaguely recall Tim saying that it's coming in June/July... hm... Also it's hilarious how van Zieks says "Nipponese" in the English version, like, is that what they actually said back then? Also, van Zieks is Dutch, and his name means "of the Sick", isn't that weird?

These "fake sequelitis" videos embody what I love about you, Tim. You show a sense of relatability to me that I've never seen or heard elsewhere. Not the whole video, but certain parts. Those things like "I like farts that make me laugh like John Kreese" or when you said "every SINGLE shower for 30 years, I pretend that I'm John Kreese rinsing the soap from my armpits." The way that you still crack up and the rednecks in the crowd. It makes me SO HAPPY. I have weird things like that. Obscure things I think about in reaction to seeing or hearing things that have just stuck with me for 5, 10, 20+ years. The way you have to look away during that one scene that makes you feel bad. People try to act relatable. They talk about pizza, or Star Wars, or playing video games. You talk about things you did as a kid that stuck with you. Wanting to sleep in Red Brinstar curled up in the Chozo statue claw. Singing Red Hot Chili Peppers because you made a Prime pun. Watching your videos makes me feel like I'm listening to someone who somehow seems like the only truly relatable person to me. I even see you get top comment on LOTS of things I watch. Things that seem totally unrelated. Keep doing what you do, Tim. Nighty night, Zebetite!

I'd say "The Karate Kid III" is worse than "The Karate Kid" and "The Karate Kid II", but certainly better than "The New Karate Kid" and the 2010 remake. Bill Conti is an amazing composer, by the way. The "Rocky" and "Karate Kid" soundtracks are probably highlights from his repertoire.

Man I’m honestly curious about this because I love the Karate Kid 1 and 2 because they felt like a complete story, but I really never gave the 3rd movie much attention. Maybe I should rewatch it

I started watching you Super Mario Galaxy, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, and Super Mario RPG lets plays when I was just a kid, maybe 9 years old or so. I used to love this movie equally as the first but now I see why most hate it and I don't either but i love what cobra kai has done with it

I like that they show that while Daniel is an incredibly kind person, he can also be really stubborn, and petty. He's not a perfect person, and he hurts Mr Miyagi in the process. Mr Miyagi is like the father Daniel never had, and Daniel is like the child Mr Miyagi never got to watch grow up... What's great about Karate Kid 3 is that you get to see that good people aren't perfect, but it doesn't mean they're irredeemable. Miyagi was willing to forgive his best friend for trying to kill him, he's an incredibly kind person, but he's just a person, and Daniel's behavior still hurt him, even to the point he was being stubborn himself. Daniel has never been shown to be perfect, he outright antagonized Johnny, was a real jerk to Ali, and even in the second movie he was brash and pigheaded several times like in the hook scene. Terry Silver is an interesting villain in that you get to see how the pair react to a complete sociopath, but really Karate Kid 3 isn't about the Bonsai store, or the Tournament, it's about found family, and how the people we love the most can hurt us the most. I wouldn't put 3 above 1 and 2, but I think the way it advances the father son relationship between Daniel and Mr Miyagi is vital to the story, and honestly really set up Cobra Kai. In fact there's a scene in Cobra Kai where they go really in depth about that father son style relationship between them, and I cried like a baby.
