that's because the real s7 has super amoled which has the digitizer and the screen integrated together so it doesn't have that black space, but the other one dosen't have super amoled of course so it has that black space
Big things you missed: 1) The fake one has two round camera thingies below the flash, the real one has the pulse sensor 2) On the sim card tray, the real one has a rubber gasket for waterproofing 3) The fake has a black edge around the screen Also, I'd have liked to see what CPU-Z has to say about the fake one.
There is the one easiest way to test the fake, with your real Samsung phone simply go to phone and dial * # 0 * # (no spaces, i put space because this youtube wont allow me to input *), a test screen will appear, choose "sensor" and under sensor choose "image test" and a chihuahua dog image will appear in the real samsung device. This is how the Samsung people told me to check
I wish I had watched this video before I got conned. I bought a fake one a few months back. I never was able to get it to work beyond 3G which should have been a big indicator. When i started troubleshooting I booted into recovery mode and it showed nothing but Chinese. I started searching and found another video from another youtuber explaining what the different chinese menu options were in Chinese clones. Your doing a great service to the internet in explaining this. Another item you might say that if you hold down the power, volume up, and menu bottons while the phone is powered off it will boot to a menu with a bunch of Chinese text on it if it is fake.

The software makes a difference, too. Some of the screen/icon items you're talking about change due to Android version differences...not because it's fake. Example: At 05:24 Android 8.0.0 does not have the "arrow". It uses a parallel set of lines in the center bottom of the drop-down pane to perform that function. Instead, in the upper right corner Android 8.0.0 has only the settings "gear" until you drop-down the rest of the pane, which then adds the familiar vertically aligned 3 dots indicating more options...in this case options dealing with "button order" and "button grid".

Easiest way to make sure you buy the real S7 is buy direct from the store Verizon, Tmobile, AT&T, Sprint etc. Even Straight Talk has it now for $599. Straight Talk runs off all the major companies and their S7 runs off the best Verizon. Just don't buy online if you can. If you're gonna online buy from a legit site like I said with the stores. Avoid Ebay altogether. If you can't afford the phone right away or don't want to be locked in a contract, just safe up the money or wait until tax season. Straight Talk also has a lease plan for their phones now. So if you can't afford the cash up front you can pay it over time. But it is based on credit, active bank account and you must use it on Straight Talk only until the phone is paid. You will have the phone payment and plan payment every month until the phone is paid off, then it's just the plan after that. Yes there is interest rate but a early payoff option. You monthly payment and how long you will be paying on it is based on your credit. You will need 1st months payment up front. So that might be a option for you. Best try to save that money up, even put change in a jar every time you get it. Sell all those old cellphones and put that money back. Keep saving if you can. I know it can be hard especially these days, but if you want it bad enough you will. If not go for the Straight Talk lease thing for it. It's called Smart Lease.

I really don't like the North American carrier branded phones, cuz their 4GLTE bands are far different from my country's carriers. And actually bought the verizon unknowingly. :( The most annoying thing is, due to the manipulation, I cannot even upgrade the android version. Is there any help to revert the faking of the model? does the fingerprint sensor work on the fake one? its something that i would think would be complicated to implement at the OS level so fake ones wouldnt let you set up the fingerprint sensor.
I was waiting for you to show the setting status. I bought a fake one and in setting, about, status, it'll show you that the cpu is a mt5695 (MediaTek) instead of qualcomm snapdragons 820 or Samsung Oxynos. Checking that alone would already tell you that you have a fake one. Be careful guys if you buy online.

I still have my doubts a little about my phone because of the bandwidth. Since its a Duos, I don't know if that is the reason or if I got some shit phone. I checks out in every way and when I go to the about phone section it does say "genuine" But I still worry. It has terrible reception. My S6 will be full bars and the S7 will have 1
2:39 also an easy way to tell, the real one has the rainbow effect on bright reflections, due to the metal behind the glass scattering the light. Same effect can be seen on my gold s7 edge. 3:49 and around the screen, a very very thin highly reflective "band" of exposed metal can be seen on the real one, kinda framing the display. Subtle effect, not replicated in the fake ones. 4:30 that aint a reliable way to tell em apart though, as the real S7 Edge has NO samsung logo in the front, if its store-bought. But if you buy a carrier bound version (such as Verizon in the USA), it does have a samsung logo in the front.
Guys a spoiler for you all: The fake ones have started showing up in boxes quite similar to the original one i.e. with the flaps. And regarding the fake products here is my pov: 1) Always on display on the original stays true black vs the fake one. 2) Build quality has a major difference just get an original in the hand and you will see what I am trying to say. 3) The os on fake is old one. 4) Use a finger for scanner and then use different finger to unlock it the fake one will open still as its just a simulated fp. But be aware fake S6 are already have surfaced in the game with real quad hd and fp. So its a matter of time for the S7 to be the same. 5) The metal band around the real is metal while the fake one has plastic. But even fake one are now being manufactured to have real metal bands. 6) On the fake one theres plastic build and on the real its glass but now fake ones have started glass build. 7) Check the heart rate sensor on the fake and the real in the video around. You will notice some big difference also.

i think the best way to see if its real or fake is to run a antutu test on them.......that will tell you exactly if the hardware and software is from samsung or not.........what do you think redskull?

you aren't gonna see a logo on any website for fakes. They aren't allowed to sell fake items :) So that's why you don't see a logo anywhere. However, the phones do come with the logos.
