I'm sad the editor cut Faker's TP -> Ryze ult into Baron game2, that's when it felt like the momentum really shifted and everyone at the venue was like "huh, never seen that combo before"
@@josephiwas I'm not discrediting anyone. That said, we've seen many times what happens to players when they move to a different team and don't have Faker any more, but Faker without them is still thriving.
(Haven't confirmed but seemed realistic) I'd read that faker has only lost something like 8 individual games to LPL teams in his entire career at worlds

Keria is undispitedly the best support at this tournament and it really isn't being acknowledged enough imo. Guma with any other support doesn't do nearly as well.

T1 once again proving that their first game is just a scouting mission. They always seem to get better and better with each game they play, and it's like a mental snowball on their side. The more they play the enemy team, the better macro control they have, and the outplays become overwhelming. Faker is doing an amazing job as the mentor and IGL for the younger members, IMO. That's not even counting on the fact that Faker is STILL one of, if not THE best League player we've seen in the last 10 years. TEN WHOLE YEARS OF DOMINATION.

honestly this tournament, whenever it's been LCK vs LPL it seriously seem like they just want to completely dominate and destroy the other team at any and every opportunity they get, so they are just taking fights, which makes it very entertaining to watch even though it may not always make sense. Like whether they are up or down in the game, at every objective, even if they just see eachother they want to go at it, it makes the games so much fun to watch cause it's all comes down to micro team fighting, and having to make instant decisions.
Every Korean, chinese casters and analysis saying this series is so high quality match-up between two best teams and explaining all the set-ups and reasoning of the fight. But 3 retired NA players just see it as "inting" LoL.. I guess now I know why NA can't make it to finals for a decade...
Well, jdg is a quality team, but is below any lck teams in semi, obviously. So two statements can hold at the same time that jdg was good enough to make a quality series but bad enough, inting throughout the series.
Guma‘s ulti is crucial for the fight at 25:47, Faker might not be able to push that much ppl back if Guma missed that ult. Really nice team play there🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

They threw all their chips on 369. That was the problem since Game 2 all the way to Game 4 and that's they thought Faker is not a threat and Zeus is more the threat and if 369 cant snowball its over. It was Mid Gap 4 straight games and T1 was quick to see it and yeah they have Bengi as coach too so yeah no way they would have not seen it and capitalized and played around bot mid. Faker ended up guarding 369 and sure 369 won most of the time but he struggled and it wasnt a defacto stomp lane since 369 HAD TO BE unstoppable in order for JDG strat to work. Back then people depended on Faker and this happened coz you cant win on your own so yeah i guess Faker knows this all too well, probably felt bad for 369. Anyways Faker popped off coz they didnt prioritize him and mid is a serious threat to both top and mid "proximity issue, close on both top and mid" so it was dumd they didnt prepare something for Faker.
also, you ban ryze because faker's win rate on ryze is kind of obscene. it's like his most comfortable champ, and has been through literally every meta. as seen, he's nearly unkillable on ryze because he knows the champ so insanely well. been playing him for ten years at that level. that is not a champ you want to seen in game four at that point, since you've lost to it two games in a row.
i think they did that because they did not know for sure where all of the enemies are. Secondly, that was that they did it was much a sager approach. and prob the main reason is, tp can be seen if a ward is nearby. The way faker tped he pretty much did a stealth tp.
If you TP to a ward, the enemy team can see that you're TPing to a ward even if it's in fog of war. Unless the enemy team has vision on the minion, TPing to a minion does not reveal the TP so TPing to a minion and then doing Ryze ult means that they have no clue that Zeus and Faker are on Baron until it's too late.
7 kill Renekton and 6 for Viego in game 3. Maybe give some kills to your Azir and Aphelios next time so they can win you the game with damage that scales.
Amazing plays by both teams. NA players play extremely passive and slow compared to KR and CN aggression and speedy map movements. For some reason they refuse to catch up to the meta of what has clearly been dominating both of those regions that reign at the top of League of Legends e-sports. NA players also generally have a champion pond compared to KR champion ocean. So many times draft diff has come down to champion pool diff
This is a bad take. You really think that NA players just "refuse to catch up to the meta"? The players are just not even close to as good. They can try to play any style or champions they want, they'll still never beat Korea.
