Muchas gracias por vuestro video, el ejemplar capturado y luego liberado es muy joven, el alcotan es un halconcillo precioso, profundamente estilizado y afilado, tiene un vuelo precioso para el que sabe lo que está viendo, soy de España por aquí es un ave poco visible pero los hay, en alguna ocasión los he visto hacer picados totalmente verticales como si de un halcón peregrino se tratase, saludos
No. They have very different proportions. The wing tips of the Hobby extend below the tail when perching. This is not the case with the Peregrine. Their wings are exceedingly long and large for body size giving them a very much lighter buoyancy in the air. They are less bulky than a Merlin a similar sized falcon. They hunt a lot of insects but can also outfly a swift in full flight when they want to.
