I think that the French federation of archery doesn't use the word "longbow" but "arc droit": it means that the string mustn't touch the limbs, that's all.
It's not french... It's the world archery standard... For the WA, a bow that has not the string that touch the limbs (excluding contact point of the loops) is considered as a longbow. So real longbow, HH flatbows, hybrids, deflex reflex are considered as longbow... Obviously no body in the high ranking is using a longbow... Not Even a flat... They all use reflex deflex... It's the same for "instinctive shooting" They do use it, They are gapping or aiming with something... For me, the trad category in target shooting was cheated...
El tiro con LongBow se ha corrom`pido con permitir tirar estilo Apache. En LongBow el Mediterraneo es el unico válido para tiro autenticamente instintivo o intuitivo.
Asqueroso ver en que se ha convertito el tiro tradicional, observando al italiano tirar estilo Apache, con el culatin en el ojo, y flechas de carbono. Es una verguenza que se permitan esos estilos.
