So beautiful. I love the lore surrounding the kelpies :) such a beautiful country…and you have to admit, their national animal is a unicorn, which is awesome.

Im sure the kelpies are based on an old scottish folkl lore back when the canals became the modern way off transporting goods as the industrial revolution started when they used the huge clydesdale horses to pull the barges.the kelpies at night when they are all lit up in colours is pretty cool.

No. both the kelpies and the Falkirk wheel are open to the public (not going through the wheel though).
