In 2016 I fell in love with Scotland and found a pink stone house almost in the sea. It had stood there for 400 years despite the storms, high tides and rogue waves. My bedroom faced the sea and this is the sound I heard every morning and night. Well actually sometimes the sea crept in so quietly I could hear the gurgles as it filled rock pools. Sometimes I’d look out and it would be dead calm with the moon shining across it, sometimes an early morning sun would fill my eyes with pink and gold. The waves would often reach high up leaving seaweed on my window sills. I loved it. I didn’t know at the time I moved in that it would help me through the darkest time of my life. Losing my son less than a week later. May 27, 2016. My world stopped, I was so broken, nothing made sense, I was lost. The sea comforted me, the patterns and sounds, the offerings and the regularity. I listen now and am taken back to that time stamped upon my heart and soul, and it brings me comfort when I need it. Love the people in your life, smile at everyone else, be love. Life is short, find what you love and that brings you joy and comfort, hope and peace. 💙

Summer nights with my grandparents in Cape cod where they had a small cottage on the beach. Slept on screened in deck and this was the sound all night. Best time of my life. Miss you so much gram and gramper.

I pretty much overthink myself into a semi-coma each night. This has helped me relax mentally and drift off to sleep. And NO commercials to startle me. THANK YOU

We are made up of 60% water. Our brain and heart 73%water. To me everything is connected. It just makes sense why we seek out water. A gentle rain, even water being poured into a container relaxes people. Thank you, this beats a sleeping pill hands down. 😴

lay in bed, turn the fan on low, close my eyes and imagine myself back on vacation at night in my hotel bed with the balcony door open, imagining the wind from my fan is the breeze coming from the ocean waves and hearing the crash of the waves coming from the balcony window 💤🌊🌌🌊🌠🌊💤

I miss my foghorns in California. My husband and I spent a time in Mexico. Our room was all in stone with a sliding glass door. At night we could hear the waves with the door open. Never slept so sound in my life. I envy the wealthy that live by the sea, but we have youtube for beautiful soundscapes.💕

1-8-21 Last night I had this playing on my smartphone. It was pleasant to hear the crashing of the waves, so soothing, but one thing I forgot. It was to actually wake up again to turn it off. Unlike my Amazon Fire Kindle, it will play then automatically go into the Sleeper Mode. And turn it off, by closing the cover. My cell phone doesn't do that or I haven't found this on my phone. I'm still learning the phone modes. Wow, and just noticed this was on my birthdate, whoever loaded it on here. Thank You, a great gift to add to my collection.
