Ohhh some of the decks are amazing, I wish I could buy the Healing Waves Tarot, I actually love rose petal finish!And the Tarot of the Mythical Creatures, I've wanted this for the longest time... but they're way beyond my possibilities! Margaret Peterson deck would pair really well with my Shimmering veil Tarot! I still enjoyed watching everything!! 🧡

Thanks Renee!!! Yeah i absolutely understand why people love having collections and there are other things I collect just because I enjoy it…but somehow with decks if they’re just hanging out on my shelf not getting used I feel bad and want them to find a home where they won’t gather dust! 😊💖
I rebought Sasuraibito in matte too!! :D Oh noooo the Healing Waves! I was surprised (though not necessarily unpleasantly) by the rose petal, because the prototype was smooth matte, so I could see that being an issue for folks!!! But um excuse me I need to hear more about the "known sea" tarot?? What's this? I know about Taylor Hultquist-Todd's deck though! eBay is exactly the right move for OOP decks, and I noticed you have VERY reasonable starting bids for both, which is lovely of you. 💖💖
Honestly I was so excited about the new matte Sasuraibito, as soon as I heard about it: 💸💸💸. That deck is such a fave but it was SO hard to take pictures of 🤣. And YES the Known Sea looks really wonderful: Janice, the artist, is at theknownsea on Instagram and I’m loving what she’s doing and thoroughly enjoying watching its progress!! 💖💖💖💖😘

The Threadbound Oracle is (to me) a lot more useable having read Cedar's novel that goes with it; before I read it I didn't use the oracle. I am very eagerly awaiting the Known Sea Tarot. And, I share your feelings on Commonplace entirely -- I backed it, was not at all happy with the first edition, attempted to trim it which didn't exactly turn out fantastically because the images weren't centered... and when the second edition came around I thought about it but ultimately just couldn't buy it again.
Oh that’s so interesting to know that the novel helps with using the oracle! I haven’t read the novel so I had no idea. And yeah with the Commonplace it was just…..too long of a road. I think it’s a wonderful deck with wonderful artwork but that deck and I just missed our window. 😆💖💖💖 thanks so much Laura!!
I have the Mythical Creatures deck and hold similar feelings, BUT as it is my most pricey deck, and I didn’t know that it is out of print, I will hold on to it and use it when called to. I feel it’s just a matter of connecting with it a bit more. Hopefully, the decluttering of decks has left you feeling more content with what remains in your collection.

I know how you feel about your Baba Studio deck. The Bohemian Gothic Tarot should be a soul deck for me but once I had it there were no feelings there. So little feeling that it’s still in the plastic.
Oh that’s such a bummer when decks that seem like they will be a deep connection just don’t resonate. And then when they’re OOP it’s hard to decide what to do with them because it will be hard to get them back if you pass them along!

😆😆😆 I love watching declutter videos but it can occasionally be painful so I feel ya! But one of the great things is sometimes you end up running across a deck you are really interested in like the Goddesses and Heroines Oracle! I love Kay Steventon’s art. 💖

I'm the one who doesn't do declutters nor do I get anxiety over how big my collection is either card decks here in Australia are way to expensive to do that we pay roughly pay 20 to 30 dollars more then what the Americans pay
Yeah, I’ve had rose petal decks before and never got them to the point I was really happy with the cardstock. Since there are other decks coming out in the same vein as the Healing Waves that I’m just as excited about, it feels right to pass it along. 😊

You have inspired me to invoke some tough love with regard to some of my decks that I love -- but never use. I have some absolutely unsolicited advice: hold onto your Healing Waves and try to break it in. I think you really kinda love it. If you riffle and bridge that may help. None of my beeswax, just an observation. Thank you for your content -- always appreciate it.
I think that’s totally fair advice on the Healing Waves….I’d definitely be hanging onto it and seeing if I could make the cardstock work for me if there weren’t other ocean decks I’m equally excited about! 💙💙💙 And yeah somehow I don’t have a hard time passing decks along when I don’t use them…I think its sometimes because I find myself personifying them and feeling guilty that I don’t give them enough attention 😆

It's going to take a while longer to complete but I'm still at it. I feel the same way about the Mythical Creatures Tarot, I was very excited about it but I do also feel it is a bit distant and removed, perhaps just not my cup of tea...but it's so beautiful and it's OOP so I haven't thought of letting it go yet.
Oh yay!!! I’ve SO enjoyed watching your progress on the Known Sea and the choices of sea creatures for each of the cards are so well-done! I totally understand that it’s still very much a work in progress, but it’s so fun to watch it evolve. And yeah it can be hard sometimes to move along a deck when it’s OOP and hard to come by because the fear of regrets is NO JOKE…the Mythical Creatures was in purgatory for a long time before I decided! 😆💖
Yess I love deck decluttering. I have had the Margarete Peterson in my watch list for literal years and I haven't been able to buy it or remove it from the list lol. Same, I barely use the Ancient Feminine Wisdom, but I bought it for dirt cheap and my youngest sister loves being read with it so I basically keep it for her 💕 I understand the completionist feeling, I get it too sometimes and it's hard to resist. Thank you for sharing, this has reminded me that I need to sell three decks that no longer resonate with me and that need to go to better homes!!
Oh that’s so lovely that your sister loves the Ancient Feminine Wisdom-I would totally keep a deck if someone in my family loved having readings with it even if I didn’t use it otherwise. 🥰🥰🥰 Honestly I will say that the Margarete Peterson is a super special deck and I totally get why people love it so much….for me it felt like one I’d love looking at more than reading with but I can see how it could be powerful to read with. And yesss…..decluttering feels so satisfying. I loooove watching other people’s declutters. 💖💖💖💖😘

It’s so true! Even with decks you love, they go by that “a reason, a season, or a lifetime” rule. I do have a deck or two I hold onto for sentimental reasons (like the Robin Wood tarot that I learned with but never read with anymore) but for the most part if I no longer use something I’m happy to let it go to a new home. 😊💖
