As a father myself I want to say the time spent with your dad is something he’ll cherish and I respect you highly for that. The NC 105 is a beautiful area to visit and maybe on your next adventure you should try the Georgia Traverse or the KAT, Kentucky Adventure Trail, both in which my wife and I have done. From us here in North Georgia, awesome video young man, and God bless you and your dad.
I am extremely blessed to share the same passions as my father and spend time out on the trail with him. I will have to check out those trails, that sounds awesome!
props to your dad for spending this special time with you and being so patient while you film it. as a 1 man film crew, I know how much effort is done to get these shots. great job and thank you for sharing.
Glad you gentlemen enjoyed our little slice of Heaven in Tennessee. I've been from Bar Harbor to Seattle and from San Diego to Key West but I always love coming home to the Smokies.
Awesome content! In new years 2020 me and my dad flew to North Carolina purchased a dump truck and we drove it back to California. One of the places that caught my attention was the Appalachian mountains. I wish to explore it one of these days in my FJ and seeing your video I can’t wait. Thank you for the awesome content
The Mower Basin area or “Mine-tana” is a hidden gem. Fantastic mtb trails throughout as well as close proximity to Guadineer Scenic area, Snowshoe, Shavers Fork, etc. Looks like a rad trip!
The view from the drone capturing the Linville Gorge, Table Rock and Hawksbill mountain is just something else.. Glad you guys made it down here to NC!
Having hiked sections of the AT in that area, I was unaware of the many overlanding trails. Great video. If you get a chance, check out Crabtree Falls, VA. There’s an access trail that you can take up the mountain to the top of the falls. The trail has several campsites. If you go past the falls, there are more campsites and the fresh water stream that feeds into the falls. About two miles past the top of the falls you can access the AT. We camped at a site at the top for 3 days. We hiked the fall, and went one way on the AT to The Priest lookout one day and then to Snipers Nest in the opposite direction the last day. Great video!
THANK YOU--- I LIVE in Appalachia--- and didn't get to get out and enjoy it this year... and the 4 years prior were NON-color days-- everything went directly to brown around here.. GREAT VIEO.
Man I wish I could get my dad out on the trails with me he has an old lifted tundra and I have a Tacoma and it would be awesome to do a father son trip like you guys! One day I’ll convince him to come out with me lol.
@@OutboundIntent haha for sure he bought this ridiculous opus camper and it just takes up space in his garage I told him time for a guys trip to test that bad boy out!
This is awesome. Would love to see a list/map of the places you went. I have an FJ and live in Virginia, so I'd love to check some of these spots out. Thanks!
Awesome content. Was wondering if you could make a video how you installed a diesel heater in your FJ and the Roof tent to the factory rack. Keep up the great content
Awesome video. I really loved it. The linville gorge is one of my favorite places to go exploring. Where was your location around the 13 min mark of this video? Thanks for sharing!!
Hey man, awesome video. Was wondering if you could point me in the right direction of the area you were in in the beginning of the video? You mentioned lower basin West Virginia but I am not finding anything. I’m from ky and been looking for awesome trails like these. Thanks!
Do you have a resource (link for maps / info ) for that detour in WV? I also spend a lot of time in Maine and have close friends in WV. That would put me within striking distance of a visit. Feel free to email it as sell if you dont want to blast it out. 😊
If you ever find yourself in Northeast Georgia (the Southern Appalachian Mountains), feel free to reach out and I’ll show you some of the most beautiful hidden dispersed sites.
Hey love the rig and your content, I’m from Virginia and new to overlanding. What’s the trail in the West Virginia part of your trip? I would like to check it out
So that area is called the mower basin in monongahela National Forest. If you check out my last solo trip video with my Subaru Baja you will see that area in detail! Thanks for watching 👊🏼
Honestly forget the company... but I wouldn't recommend cheap headlights haha. The pattern is whack and the halps are going out. I just ordered some Freedom Outfitters V4 headlights which are similar but higher quality💪🏼
