Moved to Cedofeita in March 2023 and absolutely love this neighborhood. You can sense and feel the creative vibe that this area is all about. We are a 5-minute walk from Jardins do Palacio de Cristal which is probably the most amazing "green space" in all of Porto. Rentals may be a bit difficult to come by but there are also a number of buildings being refurbished into condos for purchase. The Rosa Line of the Metro is slated to be completed in 2024. The neighborhood has a massive number of wonderful restaurants and art galleries. One Saturday/month Rua Miguel Bombarda becomes the thoroughfare for the monthly "gallery walk" sponsored by Inaugurações Simultâneas de Miguel Bombarda / Porto Art District. Within 15 minutes you can be in the major tourist areas of the city.

Very honest + helpful not to edit out your differing opinions👍which makes your work absolutely real for us 🙂☹. As a former Tour Guide many of my holiday couples each had a totally different feeling about the destination they hoped to make home. Viewers can take on board the area's visual impact, and how each of you find the atmosphere + amenities, rather than joined-at-the-hip reactions. l liked the format of your video with Kaylee actually pushing the stroller down narrow passageways, across streets etc to give young parents a great insight to safety + accessibility Love NICOLAU's pets welcome logo ☕🐕 and that vegan options are abundant

I’m loving these videos on Porto neighborhoods! We are in the process of exploring getting a D7 and moving to Portugal, and are leaning towards Porto. Thinking about moving summer 2022 as we don’t want to move during a school year for our kiddo and our plans to do some in depth exploring before our move have been put off by Covid.

I completely agree with Josh on this one. Cedofeita was the very first place I stayed in my first time in Porto and it's hard to beat. The Jardins do Palacio Cristal is a gorgeous green space although depending on exactly where you are in Cedofeita, may not be a quick walk away. But what a hood. So cool and welcoming of all. LOVING this series. Thank you so much guys!

I had to watch this one again...I might have to go 6 on this neighborhood. Really, really nice job on the neighborhoods! Your little sweetie is just so adorable! I never see her fuss or cry, you must edit that out! ;-) I think she is going to be very physically fit like an athlete. She runs now with confidence!

You guys are giving a lot of useful information and your own views which is great to see. Wondering if you would consider doing a summary of all neighborhoods on your list in a video and provide some ranking with different perspectives, e.g., young singles, young couples no kids, couples with young kids, empty nesters but young at heart, retired needing quiet life with access to amenities, etc. I know it is a lot to ask.

We thought about doing this to help people find these more niche videos we're doing on the individual neighborhoods. This place means a lot to me, I lived in Rua dos Bragas from 1990 to1995, as a student. Back then there were lots of old traditional shops and the streets had the old stone pavements with tram tracks embed. It is very much transformed now, for a lot better, yet more "touristic" rather than appealing for someone to move in and live there, I kind of understand Kalie. As parents, there are all kinds of schools nearby, and babies will not use the stroller long...

Thanks guys for sharing this great video of this amazing neighborhood but totally agree with her as a family with a small child I definitely would give a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ but as a single or a couple with no kids I definitely would give ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I like the artsy walls, unique restaurants and kind off hiding secrets cafes and bars with surprising wow factors as well with architected buildings with amazing details of the 11,12 or even late 18 century, keep it io guys I definitely need to make a trip to Portugal my homeland which I always would love to visit my mainland I’m from the island I don’t know if you guys remember it but anyway guys love the fact you guys love my country and I hope you guys can make a final decision of making Portugal your home place until your retirement ❤️😘👍

Hi Amit, thanks for the kind words. This location is on Rua das Oliveiras (the google address is R. Das Oliveiras nº 61, 4050-449 Porto) and it's called Easy. From the street you'll also see a restaurant called Lazy that's owned by the company. Be careful, there are 2 Selina locations very close to each other and one is just a hostel/hotel from what we know. We hope you have a great vacation. 😁 - Josh & Kalie

Love these neighborhood tours. Lol, love the discussion on family friendly. I agree with mom, trying to exercise a dog and a kid ... the easier the better. Raising a kid in the city wasn’t easy. If I had to do it all over again, I would have chosen a little bit more space to run around and let a kid be a kid. Wondering if there’s an arts district in Porto where artists and creatives tend to live or is there a gallery focused area?

Fun fact: Cedofeita means "Early Made" (or "Early built") in Portuguese. This has to do with that medieval church. It was really built very early 😊. I love your videos about my city. Especially this one, as I lived in Cedofeita Parish for the most part of my life, having studied there from the primary school to the University 👍.

Hey guys. Big fan of your channel! I have a question about the D7. I know you have to have 8000 euros in a Portuguese bank account as one of the requirements. My question is, once you have your SEF appointment, do you still have to keep that amount in your account? Or can you use it for expenses once you get your residency?

Hi Katie, from our personal experience you can definitely start using that money. In fact, we made our big deposit and started using it and dwindling it before the SEF appointment to see if they'd say anything. We talked about this in a Live Q&A about our SEF appointment.
