I'm so happy you've enjoyed the patterns selected! Yes, autumnal colours paired with a colourwork motif is where my heart is at the moment. I truly want to cast-on everything and only wish there were more knitting hours in a day! Happy knitting!

Jennifer, those colors for the Soldotna are gorgeous and you will look stunning in them! I made a Soldotna for my first colorwork. I loved my color choices but it came out a little small. I think I chose the wrong size and did not go up a needle for the colorwork area. I need to make another.

My next project will be Misurina in Linen Quill. Black as MC and Toffee brown for CC. Our NC falls are very mild, so heavier sweaters do not come into play until near Christmas.

Hello ! I am enjoying your podcast !!! 🙏 I am so happy you are going to cast Sailors Gansy . I was so excited to knit this sweater but smth went really really wrong with my gage . I believe I did proper math selecting the side . On a paper everything was great but the yoke went bananas …. It hit so big . When you look at her modeling the sweater you can see that even on her structure somehow is lost , it seems very loose . Anyway …. My advice would be to be cautious about tension when you do these “ bumps “ . Cannot wait to follow your progress . If you are successful I will go back and give another shot!!!! It’s a really nice sweater 👍

Thank you very much!! The Sailors Gansey is such a beautiful design. I could understand how gauge could be altered with the stitch pattern. I often find with sweater patterns, they are designed with a lot of wiggle room and being a looser knitter, often have to calculate to go down in sizes that don't exist in the original pattern. I hope your enjoying what's on your needles at the moment.

Be aware if you knit the garter sweater, SIMPLY ME BLOUSE by NORgardknitters in the round, you will have a demarcation at your row change, that is probably why the designer chose to add short rows. Try a small swatch of garter stitch in the round you will see what happens. Have you tried taking a black and white photo of the yarns for your future Soldotna ?

Thank you very much! Your insight is very appreciated. I have not knit a garter stitch garment and will take this into consideration. As for the Soldotna, I have realized that there may not be as much contrast as I would like with my current colour choices. I am toying with the idea of playing around with some colour options, keeping with the autumnal theme of course!

Thank you!!! The blouse is the Anthea Blouse pattern, deigned by Anna Allen, a sewing pattern. I've used a linen fabric from Blackbird Fabrics. It's a beautiful design.

The Simply Me Blouse is in my queue too. It is so feminine. 2025 is going to be my year of colorwork. I have several potential Jennifer Steingass patterns in my queue including Arboreal and Avena too. I can’t wait to see your projects.😊🧶
