so about the almond thing... if you have seasonal allergies, you can have an itchy mouth throat from almonds (among other things!) theres a whole bunch of stuff related to birch trees which causes most people's seasonal allergies!

The same thing started happening to me with almond milk after highschool. It’s so weird. Like I would drink almond milk almost everyday and then all of a sudden it would make my tongue itch and throat scratchy.

You’re allergic to almonds! I recently had an anaphylactic reaction to avocados even though I’ve been eating them my whole life. I broke out in hives & my throat was getting super small, now I have an epi pen incase it happens again. Definitely be careful!

This isn’t true. Although you can get stress hives, stress will not make you develop specific allergies. It is alarming if she is having breathing problems and hives. She definitely should check in with a physician about this.

you should definitely ask your primary doctor if you could get tested for almond allergy. because you could suddenly become allergic to them it’s pretty serious. be safe!

You most likely have developed an allergy to almonds. You can develop new food allergies… I would get checked for nut allergies by a good allergy clinic. The test is very simple and it will tell you any of the tree nuts you’re allergic to.

You can develop allergies at any point of your life, they can even become anaphylactic at any point which is life threatening. You should probably go to the doctor and get a prescription for an epipen just to have incase of an emergency. Also buy Benadryl if you don’t have any. An allergy test would probably be a good idea too, the blood test are not very accurate so a scratch test would probably be best. All that said I would definitely check in with either your primary care physician or an allergist about your symptoms.
