The thing is, Hitler never wanted war with France. In August 1939, Hitler told the French president that the German people had no quarrel with the French. He even accepted the Franco-German border and did not claim Alsace-Lorraine, where the majority was German, for the German Empire. But no, France would have to give Poland a duty of assistance. Hitler asked France several times in August 1939 during the "negotiations" between Germany and Poland, in which Poland was not really interested in being even in the same room with the Germans, to stay out of it.

The french were trash, that's just it, they even got help by the UK and lost. The germans came out so strong, no one could defeat them, they fought whole of Europe alone. The Russian winter during operation Barbarossa with - 42 degrees was the thing that destroyed then and because they made Stalingrad to a ruin which prevented their tanks from marching through the city.

Vive l'Auld Alliance !
