I love how clearly we can hear Patrick's voice and the instruments. That's really what I missed about the older music. And it doesn't sound like they're trying to just copy their old sound, but just trying something different from the past few years. I like it!
I agree 100%. I've loved almost every single thing they've put out, but this is a perfect mashup of their older and newer stuff. I love how they can experiment with sounds but you always KNOW its a Fall Out Boy song. This is nostalgic for their old songs, but its still got a new vibe, its not trying to COPY old stuff
@@camrockon you're so right!! Its got the musicality of the old like folie and infinity, but the rhythm, of the lyrics specifically, definitely remind me of the Phoenix and the rest of save rock and roll, a little bit of Mania too
I’m so happy. This feels like they’re back to what made them special in the first place and it sounds like they’re having fun again. They’ve finally embraced their status as emo legends are not shying away from it. It feels so nice to hear Joe going ham on an actual guitar riff for the first time in years. However if he doesn’t where that raccoon costume on stage during this tour I don’t want it.
Are you talking about MANIA? Did you think it wasn’t a good album? (Genuine question btw, I just see a lot of people talking about « going back to their roots » and I’d love to hear more about your point of view!)
@@Kimichedepain FOB post-hiatus has been hit and miss for me. I think Save Rock & Roll is a great comeback album with just a few duds, I didn’t care for American Beauty/American Psycho and kinda shrugged it off as their “pop experminent” album but MANIA was so messy and chaotic and so far removed from what makes FOB so special and if they were to have continued in that direction I would’ve given up on them, I’m glad they proved me wrong
I absolutely love how FOB are finding creative ways to make sure Joe is included in the new videos rather than completely left out and forgotten about. I hope he recovers quickly and we can have him back ❤ x
I still think it's funny how the fanbase hated that album when it came out and I was in the minority defending it... Either those "fans" aged out or everyone came around. Either way, I'm glad the album is getting the love it deserves! "The songs you grow to like never stick at first!"
This song makes me feel how I did when I first discovered Fall Out Boy. I feel like I'm falling in love with their music all over again. I'm so excited for this

@@crizmeow8394 oh my god that’s right!! I thought that was some kind of clue that they’re touring with good Charlotte (because is their book and because I’m obsessed to know about world tour)
I'm so surprised no one is talking about the incredible "classic" book titles they have on the shelf. "The Weezer of Oz", "Catch-182", "Good Charlotte's Web", "Crime and Punishment at the Disco"?? I mean those are just plain gold.

last year I repented to God then begged for help, "I was until then an Atheist." I then had a dream of Jesus coming before God and he spoke of the Tabernacle in perfect context, "A word I didn't know existed because I never read the bible", and the love I felt from Jesus when I held him in my arms was unlike anything I've ever felt before - A lifetime of joy every second - It brought me to sobbing and it changed my life, forever. I've had other miracles since, a Few being a light turning on in answer to deeply needful prayer over a Dozen times, seeing a orb of light pass across my face hours before a major surgery, seeing an Angel in a dream the night my mother prayed for me to see one, "Without telling me", and So much more. Know that God and Jesus ARE real and that they love us deeply. Let go of your hatred and Imagine yourself holding the people who've hurt you. Tell them you love and forgive them and I believe we should do our best to follow the 10 commandments. Always have hope, I believe Love Is The Answer.
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit 15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:15-18
That's a fact!!! Patrick just be saying shit. And those are the best songs. Where he is singing his ass off. harmonies back like he never left. I miss those Oooo-oh-oh-ohs
The "emo island" 🥹 we've went from emo being an embarrassment to a part of our lives and I love that. I'm proud of my emo phase ❤This song is so 00's FOB I can't wait for the album
It takes a while to realize, but you should be PROUD and OWN what and who you are. I teach 6th grade and tell the kids this every day! We’re all weird! Love your weirdness and eff them if they don’t get it! Right? My opinion tho. I could be wrong. I’m wrong a LOT😂
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
I love this! It feels like older fall out boy, but it has a slightly new sound! I'm a fairly new fan, so this is the first new music I've heard from them and it's so good
i've been a fall out boy fan since 2006. this song came out 10 minutes ago and is already one of my favourite songs of theirs ever. holy SHIT i am so hyped
@@amandakucsera please don’t try to gate keep FOB diehard fans can’t be moved I never heard a bad song from them at all. Not many can do that they deserve kudos because they are as good live as their cds
I'm convinced FOB can't make bad music. Their music was PERFECT 20 years ago and it's still just as good even though it's different. Truly grew up and changed along with this band.
Tbh i even like their semi electronic style during the 2010s. It's like they had a phase where they need to adapt to the industry but they didn't completely change who they are. And now they drops THIS kind of music, amazing! They really respect their fans
What I hope doesn’t come back is the fashion, and not because I hated it it’s because knowing gen z and TikTok it won’t be the same and it’ll be ruined. And this is coming from someone in Gen Z who actually dressed 2000s emo for a while and had my bobcut with the fringe and everything
@@dustinwalters2728 Same, 2013-2017 albums were fun but I always went back to Infinity on High and Folie - that’s where I think they found their best sound. They reinvented themselves 10 years ago and now we’re coming back full circle with this single!
This just MIGHT be their best song ever. My wife prefers Heartbreak Feels So Good; a great song too, but I think she's crazy. We started listening to FOB together twenty years ago - turning 40 this year and still going strong - just like FOB. Stoked for this album release and the show in Toronto. "To the Fans that held us down until everybody came around, welcome; it's here!." PS we are all wishing Joe the best
Yess I agree! This sounds quintessential Fall Out Boy but the lyrics have way more attitude and maturity than their old records. Love how they rediscover the passion again!
You guys are all KINGS. ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GIVING MUSIC TO OUR FEELINGS OF FEAR, GRIEF, MELANCHOLY, JOY, AMD LITERALLY EVERYTHING. YOUR MUSIC WILL TRANSCEND TIME. And Patrick and Pete are one of those amazing writing duos that jist create history with a pen and a guitar. Thank you all.
It’s 2009. I’m 15 again locked up in my room with headphones on listening to this song. Oh boy, this song makes me feel so nostalgic and happy at the same time.
It sounds so much like „From now on we are Enemies“ and I couldn’t be happier because that’s one of my absolute favorite songs. I’m absolutely excited for the new album to come out!!
9 years, an emo phase and a kpop phase later and FOB's new releases have me as excited as my first. Love this song, such reminiscent sound. Congrats guys, love from Mexico.
They always slay, but they slayed especially hard on this one. The twinkly piano. The headbanging riffs. The vaguely cryptic, shitposty music video (as per usual). Patrick wearing the iconic fedora. Pete’s glam. Andy’s fabulous makeup. The way they creatively covered for Joe’s absence (with furry stuff, as usual) 😂
I already know this will be my top song of the year on Spotify, I can guarantee it. Somebody remind me to come back here at the end of the year and confirm. EDIT/UPDATE: so wrapped just came out and i can’t believe i remembered this comment but uh yeah i called it. top song of the year, streamed it 221 times 😂. just wanted to say thank you fall out boy..this song honestly means so much to me that i can’t even explain, so thank you fob, can’t wait to see you again at 2ourdust 😭❤
To say I am OBSESSED is an understatement! I walked down the aisle to one of their songs 2 months ago today, and I am STOKED they're back!!!!! This is INCREDIBLE!
the preview of this song has been carrying me through this week tbh. the full release slaps SO HARD, and this music video is fantastic, i love all the different techniques used
Sounds like another incredible FOB album is on the way. They all have their own unique sound and vibe. So excited to discover each song. I have always resonated with them and their music and lyrics are always 🔥
@@hiddenbrickstudios What do you mean? They released Save Rock and Roll in 2013 (soon to be a decade old in a few months), then American Beauty/American Psycho in 2015, and lastly MANIA in 2017.
@@noahpehowic6080 the 2010s were the last decade. we are in the 2020s now. they have released album within the past 10 years but this will be the first one this decade
Funny thing, I’m pretty sure “Joe” is a raccoon there cuz Joe couldn’t actually be in the video. He’s currently recovering from a back injury so that’s most likely someone else in the costume

Can I just say that I first heard this song on the FM radio on the 13th of a 15 hour drive. I was so excited to hear FOB and instantly downloaded many more new songs, and wow, did it get me through a tough drive. I didn't realize until today how much I needed fresh music in this genre, and wow, what a difference it makes.
This is the best track these guys have put out in at least a decade. They have always had it in them just went down a very corporate/industry path for a while. SO happy to see them going back to their roots.
I literally can’t stop listening to this. This is a real return to form without just rehashing their old material. Man…. Patrick’s vocals and harmonies are just a stellar as always. It reminds me a lot of Infinity on High/Folie a Deux era. It’s nice to hear a good bridge. It feels like a lost art at this point. Also why is Joe in a fursuit? Or was he just not able to make the music video shoot? Lol
Joe needs a hiatus thanks to psychological burnout & recovering from back surgery, but he hopes to return in the future, and I'm happy to be patient for our Raccoon Boi 💛 they just all work so well together!
I literally can’t stop smiling. I attribute so much of who I am today to this band from my home town who I found in 2005. Feel like I’ve been waiting for this Fall Out Boy since 2009. I couldn’t be more proud 😭😭😭😭😭 I can’t wait to scream along to this live someday soon 🤞🏻
Wow it feels great to listen to fall out boy again! So glad that they found their identity again!Feels great to hear all the members giving their best again.
It feels like they’re going back to their roots and I LOVE IT, song and video are amazing. Brought tears to my eyes to think about this new era of my favorite band after a couple albums I didn’t love as much. I’m so excited!!! ❤❤❤❤ excellent work, boys. Proud of you
1- pete as elderly emo is all of us (I turned 30 6 days ago and this totally is my birthday gift) 2- there’s no such thing as hate this band 3- I was ok that Joe didn’t show up for the iheart show, but now I’m really worried tf is going on 4- Once again they’re saving rock and roll 🖤 FCKNG FIVE! 0:30 ANYONE NOTICED THAT THE BOOKS ON THE SHELF ARE REFERENCES TO OTHER EMO BANDS??? SUPER TOUR COMING UP??? IN THIS CASE I MUST SAY THE MEME: PLEASE COME TO BRAZIL!!!!!
@thelco1 I don't know the answer for that, but he's been in promo pics for this era and the letters in the emails from the band teasing this era sign off with the names of all four members.
You just have to respect the amount of time and effort fall out boy puts into their music videos, just got home and this popped up on my notifications🤘🤘
