My deceased younger brothers fave emo band. He loved this song. I was never a fob fan until recently. This song is so emo and I can now understand why he loved this song. It's very relatable and even more it's addictive to hear it played loud. I miss you so much Scott. Rest in peace and when I get to see you again we can sing this song together.

I'm a black mother raised in the hood and my black punker son who's 28 and has always listened and prefer rock and heavy metal music since the age of 5 yrs old had gotten me hooked on Fall out boy and other rock and heavy metal music . I don't him in spite of me and my other 3 adult kids who were hip hop fiends not to change who he was. I told him that just because you're black doesn't mean you have to like R&B and hip hop . Ppl respect the real you. 22 yrs later he's never had any problem in our mostly black hood and he gets mad respect. Just thought I'd share something good. Be yourself. @@KINGKOLDBLADE I was born in early 2005 and Green Day, FOB, P!ATD, Nirvana, Guns ‘n’ Roses, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Metallica, and more are some of my favorite bands… Green Day especially. “American Idiot” as an album is my favorite album ever and my second-favorite song ever (behind “Bang Bang” from their “Revolution Radio” album).
So my art teacher sometimes plays music in class (it’s usually pretty bad tbh, but one time Message Man by Twenty One Pilots came on so that was good), and one day I heard the intro to this song and I was fucking hyped (in my head because I don’t have any friends in that class, lol) but then my teacher skipped it and Pumped Up Kicks came on instead. I don’t know, just thought I’d share the most disappointing moment of my life.
i was putting an unnecessary amount of eyeliner on while watching this, an my dad came and and asked what i was doing and the way the music lined up i was able to turn around, point my brush at him, and scream "WE'RE GOING DOWN DOWN IN AN EARLIER ROUND SUGAR WE'RE GOING DOWN SWINGING" and my dad just slowly backed out of my room.
My older sister used to listen to MCR, Fall out Boy and Green Day while playing The Sims 1 and 2 as i watched and gave killer tips on decoration. Great childhood, this is a core memory.

The memories, I'm overwhelmed and truthfully sad. I miss these days. I was 13, I'm 31 now - I still experience how this song made me feel back then, indescribable. I long for those days lol and yet they truly only feel like a few years ago.
man it's been a long time since I've heard these guys I remember back in 2007 they were everywhere on every channel that had to do with pop culture MTV VH1 etc. I think I was in the fifth grade and I might have been 10 or 11 at the time and every radio station as well would play them
