A lot of tears have hit my bathroom sink, only to be soothed by this voice, and this particular song will never fail to calm me. Music truly changes lives, and touches people who need that contact, the hope that there's going to be a better time soon. What a Catch, Donnie became a teenager's lullaby in a couple really difficult years. Fall Out Boy, Panic!, MCR, and far more bands than just the trinity have helped a lot of people cope with tough times. I remember falling in love with tøp after my diagnoses. Migraine was another couple minutes of relief. The feeling that someone else knew, could put it into words, could tell me I could make it, just a little longer and things can get better, was exactly what I needed to get up and manage my mind. The more I discover music and how it truly can make a worldwide change, the more it opens up New Perspectives (😬) and can truly alter my brain into realizations I wouldn't have made otherwise. Music is the medicine for this world we've poisoned with media, pollution, violence, prejudice, and overindulgence. If these (in a perfect world, of course) sins not against any religion, but on humanity itself, were solvable by sharing music with the world, I would wish for and hope everyone could stop and just listened to melodies. Poet's words of wisdom. We could focus on rebuilding the lives of people who truly need help, families who've been hurt by war, hunger, fear. Music is a powerful force. A fedora-and-eyeliner-clad band from Chicago taught me about dreaming and working for a peaceful world can help solve my own problems. Focusing on helping others overcome theirs in any way can creates a chain reaction. It's a struggle every day to recover, but with the songs of these artists, it's proof that no one is truly alone. Thank you, Patrick. And thank you to all musicians, be you contributing through alternative, pop, classical, rap, reggae, Norwegian black metal, the soundtrack of Rocky 4, upside down buckets in a subway, and "most things in between." Your voices can heal broken souls. :)
Trevor, you're killing me! What a lovely comment. I am glad you found your medicine, and shared such a positive slant - too often RU-vid comment section is full of hate, self centered-ness and negativity "Focusing on helping others overcome theirs in any way can creates a chain reaction. It's a struggle every day to recover, but with the songs of these artists, it's proof that no one is truly alone. " God bless you, lad!
Trevor Riberdy Damn... I never thought I would ever see someone manage to pour out their soul and emotions that they share with many others across the world in a RU-vid comments section. It's kinda funny to see where you'll find hope and strength these days.
hey, just thought I'd fill ya in, it's a bonnie an clad type deal, lovers on the run from the law, with a big emphasis on lacking self esteem, that's my view from what I can tell haha ''you'llnever catch us, so just leave me be'' hence
I thought my best friend was crazy when she said she liked the acoustic version of this better. Then I listened to it and I still think she's crazy, but with good reason.
Man I ramener listening to this song in 2009 for the 1st I discovered FOB as a teenager. I decided to listen to this randomly today and the lyrics never left my head. Imma add this to my playlist
I can just SEE Patrick sitting on a stool with an old guitar in his hands, playing this song to the regulars at his local bar, his voice slightly shaky with emotion as he pours his heart out on the beer-stained floor, the lone spotlight shining on his worn fedora while a single tear tracks down his cheek @ 3:06...
i want to go back to the first time i heard this, and tell myself at that time that i would be alive in 8 years. i know they wouldn't believe it, but they deserved to hear it, from someone.
next time I listen to this,I shall be with a specific guy who is very much devoted to this band and is the reason i love and know about them...Umm...maybe not...cuz Id never be able to hear this song againT.T,but if i do,Ill kiss him on the cheek after listening!...But this song does make me sad at the end with their most popular songs. Its like they're saying theyre not coming back...i hope they are,it would be a shame if i become a fan after theyve broken up...luckily its just a hiatus for now.
Sometimes I wanna die but then I think, if I'm dead, how well I listen to Brendon Urie and Patrick Stump if I'm dead? In living for these two and I'm not ashamed of it.
@KaytheGreat dont forget different mics have a different way of picking up peoples voices so maybe this is a diff set up. also where he could be singing the song changes the way it sounds around him. i think this was sung in a small room it has a slight echo to it.
This song reminds me of my ex girlfriend. A great love, separated by lies of deceit where as, no one, except for us, wanted for our love to be real. When I convinced her out of her belief as to what I thought, but she didn't. She went her own way to find a new boyfriend, but ended in a position where as, she doesnt want him anymore . Now, at the same time, I'm now in a relationship with her best friend. And again, a spot we both are right outside of each others reach. God has a plan. I thought
