I am digging your dark hair!!! Tease it a bit and you can create the perfect Bellatrix cosplay. (Just saw the top comment and I'm not the only one who sees a cuter version of Bellatrix haha!) I totally want to read Stalking Jack the Ripper and the rest of the series! They all sound really intriguing! Great video! x
can you do a video where you specifically recommend AUDIObooks? like, ones where you loved the narrator, where there was a character cast or something like that?
Can I just say thank you for actually talking about Leslye Walton's books!!! I feel like no one else I watch does but I loooove her style. They are such a writing inspiration for me!
i liked your new hair color more and more with every video, but in this one? queen, you're slaying! if i hadn't just colored my hair the same color two months ago, i'd have surely done it now :)
Your hair/lipstick combination looks so lovely 🖤🖤 I feel the same about spooky movies/books 😂 I adore Halloween but I just don’t like the jump scares. Planned to read the hazel wood and daughter of the burning city over winter but you’ve definitely made me feel like they are more like Halloween books now. Thanks !!!
Loving this gothic aesthetic 🙃 LOVED Stalking Jack the Ripper and those pictures scared me so much as I was constantly turning the pages 😂 Ace of Shades is definitely on my TBR! Thanks for the recommendations 💕
Since fall finally arrived here in Europe this weekend, I was in desperate need of some good book recommendations for this season. Thank you very much for your inspirations! 🍄🍂 I guess it's the perfect time to grab a good old Sherlock Holmes story and a cup of tea🍵🕵️♂️.
I am currently reading the last book in the stalking jack the ripper series and hailey I cannot thank you enough for introducing me to the first one way back when because I freaking loved every single bit of the series so far. Can't wait to see how it ends.
A surprisingly great book for fall is the familiars! It’s about 18th century witches and the whole book just screams autumn and witchiness even though it’s not a scary read. I can highly recommend that book!
My favourite book series EVER is a perfect fall or autumnal read! It’s the All Souls series by Deborah Harkness. Also another favourite is the Stonewylde series by Kit Berry. This series is very much themed around nature.
I’ve had daughter of the burning city on my shelf for so long, I’ve tried a few times to read it but I just can’t get into it. Now you’ve said that it’s a good fall book I think I might try and pick it up again in October!
I love your new hair! The Hazel Wood seems perfect for fall but I heard so much mixed reviews! And also planning to read Stalking Jack the Ripper this fall.
Books by Kate Morton make an amazing fall read. All her novels (or at least the three I've read) are both contemporary and historical fiction mysteries. They tend to follow a character in present day trying to solve a mystery from the past, usually related to one of their relative and then the said person in past, living out their lives. My favourite so far is The Forgotten Garden.
Hailey, I adore that you recommend books, even if you don't like them! You're such an open-minded person and the fact that you have a stance that, while you might not have enjoyed them yourself, other people might love them, is very admirable! I loved all of these reccs, and I'm definitely going to be reading some of the books you've recommended, such as Stalking Jack the Ripper. Absolutely adored this video, gives me inspiration to do my own fall recommendations video! Loved your look, btw. Very vampy! You're gorgeous.
Yes, yes, ultimate fall reads! They're the books I want all year, so I hoard the recs and share them out to myself during the months when I really need a little Halloween. :p Also, out of curiosity, what are you doing while you listen to audio books?
I like your hair really dark, it suits you! You should do a readathon this month and let us know when you're doing it so we can all join in! Books I plan to read in October are The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White, Mary's Monster: Love, Madness, and How Mary Shelley Created Frankenstein by Lita Judge, The Lost Queen by Signe Pike, and last but not least, My Lady's Choosing by Kitty Curran.
I love the vampy look. I greatly enjoy the atmospheric nature of fall books. I finished the Hazel Wood last night and was kind of disappointed after how much hype it has gotten. The plot felt both forced and overly convenient to me, which made it hard to fully immerse myself. I will definitely read more from Melissa Albert, however, as I liked her overall style.
Read the Outsider by Stephen King. I haven’t fully read it but I read the sample on IBooks. It’s such the perfect time reading durning fall with such a page turner.
I love your dark hair! We only have 2 seasons in the Philippines, so I just read whatever I feel like living. Price Guide To The Occult, I saw this in one of my favorite videos of yours, the Chapters by Indigo vlog!
Girl you looks so beautiful!!😍😍💗I’m so happy that you uploaded, my Day is instantly better as always! Honestly I know this is wayy before it’s time but I can’t wait to see you at bookcon next year!!😭I left bookcon this year just waiting to see you next year
I've been toying with dying my hair super dark again and this video has me wanting to run out right now and buy some dye! (But if you were too lazy to go to your shelf to fetch a book, imagine how I feel about walking to the drugstore when I'm in my pjs in bed haha)
Hey Hailey! I’m late to the commenting game on this video, but may I suggest some books to read this month for halloween? The first is Famous Last Words by Katie Alender, it’s a mystery, thriller where the main character moves to Hollywood and finds out there is a killer on loose preying on teen girls her age. She has to figure it out before she looses her life to this maniac, on top of getting down to the source of her ghostly vision like writing on the wall and a reflection that’s not her own. A fast, suspenseful read. The second is a graphic novel called Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier (Last name spelling?) about a girl who moves to a ghost town near day of the dead, and she has to get over her fear of ghosts so her sister can have fun on day of the dead. It’s funny, and cute, while also kinda eerie. A great fast, quick graphic novel read. Cute art too. Read them or not hope this added to the video. :)
