I must say, you handled those buck tails flying at you properly. Some people really don't have common sense. I've been out there fishing both weekend and weekday, the weekday is where it's at. Thumbs up on the video, hope this year is a little better then the last!
eighties85baby Yeah I've been fishing Montauk since i could first walk, and started under the light when i was like ten years old so experience helped. Believe me I've seen much worse then in this video. you should of seen my dad defended me after a novice angler hit me with a 2oz jig. Yeah this year was mediocre compared to past seasons, there were more fisherman up front then Stripers haha. Usually if i fish the weekends i hit the south side and during the week like Monday ill hit up front. but in this video i was helping a friend of mine learn the ropes a little so figured the light is a little easier then walking deep down the south side because one day there on the south side one day there not. Tight lines and ill see you on the rocks.
Thanks man one of my older videos but glad you liked it, i usually will connect my braid to a 3-5ft fluorocarbon leader 30-60lb depending on conditions connecting the leader to the braid with a Uni knot or barrel swivel.
What's up. Yeah here I was using a 9ft triumph fast action surf rod. I'm casting with a two ounce Bucktail with 4inch red and white pork rind. I usually fish with this rod when there's a lot of small bait around because you can cast real small stuff or change to something up to 2 1/2 ounces.
