It truly warms my heart to know I'm not the only one who gets frustrated with annoying, tangled fly line. Some days go real smooth, and others it feels like my fly line is fighting me every step of the way.
Great time of year for sure to go fishing. Love the fall colors! I went fishing in the Uintas yesterday and caught tons of tiger trout as well as a few brookies and rainbows 🤘 and once again, sorry for the continued frustrations with fly fishing 😂. But I will say, yesterday as I fished, I was catching way more on the fly than those also on the lake who were fishing with a normal rod, so to me it’s worth the effort to try and perfect 😁
Man look forward to watching new videos weekly, wish I had the time to fish this much and beautiful places you go to. I know fly fishing for the most part is your thing. Ever try using trout magnet set up. Seen other videos saying they sly trout on it🤷🏻♂️. Wouldn’t mind seeing you try it lol .anyways keep it up man love your videos
@Bass'N'Trout - So glad to see that you upgraded your cooking pans. Do you mind sharing a link to them? Or telling us in your next video where you got them? They look pretty dope. Way better than carrying around that cast iron
As the weather changes I myself use different types of bait luers flies and such . Tangle free lines lol but ya we all been there . Nice video loved it . Loss of equipment is the only sad part !
Your ad placement was perfect man great adjustment. But hey your reaction when eating that trout was priceless. Those fillets looked so darn tasty I'm going trout fishing tomorrow bruh. This remote little lake has some huge brookies wish me luck!
I’m a snob to people adding a bunch of seasonings and sauces to a good steak but nothing else. Fish is great with all diff seasonings and sauces. Keeps the flavors diff and interesting so you don’t get sick of it.
Hey Bass’N’Trout have you ever tried using a foam fly such as a grasshopper or spider as an indicator? It’s having a strike indicator with a hook my dude! You’ll have to give it a try and they’re usually way cheaper than an indicator in my experience
Caught my first ever brown trout today, on the fly, it was 35cm or more, i didnt measure it, just netted it, picture, hook out and back it went, it was a wild one, it was really cool
Not a bad day there, was out today myself hoping for fresh run sea trout, only caught 2 brownies and 2 flat fish on the worm, you ever cure your fish? They make some nice eating aswell as smoked pate too
Be careful flying your drone in sub-freezing temps when it's misty out like that. I did that when I first got my Mini 3 Pro down here in Cedar Canyon because it was such an amazing effect with the snow and fog settled down in the canyon. After a few minutes, my drone just dropped out of the air and barely missed the river. Fortunately, it landed in about 8" of fresh powder and was still salvageable with no damage, thankfully. That freezing fog will cause the blades to freeze and it'll instantly lose lift capability. I'm no helicopter pilot, but the same rules apply for them and why they won't fly. Go figure!! lol. Anyway, just figured I'd save you from a potential unexpected drone wreck. At 30 degrees, you may be fairly safe for a while, but the day I was out, it was 18 degrees and those blades iced over in a matter of minutes!.. Obviously, if it's clear, you're safe, even if it's sub-freezing. But the dramatic effect isn't nearly as cool as that fog and mist!! Beautiful footage, dude! Can't wait to watch the rest of the vid. Love your stuff, as always, brother!
Great video 🙂 can you do a how to fly fish set up that you use for your fly fishing. I am new to fly fishing and trying to learn these new setups. Thanks
The rod I was using is linked in the description, and I was just using balanced leeches with 3x Tippett. Pretty simple. I’m not an expert when it comes to fly fishing..
And whilst you are freezing, some of us in the UK are basking in a very pleasant 23 degree C all day sunshine ( sorry, can't convert to degrees F for you!)!
You can cook trout whole and get a lot more meat out of it. Use a pan cover and score the sides of the trout. Done correctly the spine and every bone will just peel out.
Taste is subjective, isn't nice to say how to cook. Although as a chef I might have some tips if you ask. Until now I haven't see something wrong with your way. I could suggest since your catch is so fresh to use only sea salt but since you don't like fishy taste I won't!!
