Was doing a facetime with my son/grandson while they were fishing LOTP and it was just like being there - what an awesome fishery. Will be fishing there next June when we visit them.... Keep up the great videos👍🐟🐟🐟🐟
@@MrCanadianCaber Used to fish Lake Nipissing every fall and it was fantastic but it's all messed up now with the limit of 2 and slot sizes designed to not let you keep any...
Still haven’t been able to make a hyper rattle work for me but I don’t have electronics. Love your videos it’s like Christmas every time you post. Thanks Clayton. You are awesome
100% I try to keep within those rules for sure... The odd time I find myself in like 30-32, but I also monitor the fish quite well. Sometimes even when pulling fish out of 25 feet you can run into troubles if they have just came from deeper water. Need to keep an eye on things for sure! Cheers!
love the channel clayton! i'd love to see you do a video breaking down fishing maps as far as looking for good spots/structure for walleyes and what exactly your looking for before even hitting the water! great video as always! keep up the good work
You're killing me. I own the same boat but broke my ankle and can't get out fishing during my favorite time of year. Thank you for the videos. I'll live vicariously through you! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great content Clayton!! I am slowly catching up on all your video's! One thing I'd be interested in is a step by step video on filleting a fish! There are lots of videos out there and different ways, I'm just curious on your technique! Thanks!
I love those hooks, picked a few up from cabelas. I really like how fast they dive when you do find the fish in 20-30 feet. They dive x5 faster then rapalas... Also bought a few that that have wings or flaps on the side, I'll use those ones on the ice I think.
I just picked up a bunch of hyper rattles a few weeks ago and been crushing them on that very lake as well, new favorite bait. Jiggin raps, snap raps and shiver minnows were working too but these have been more consistent
I’m glad to see someone catching Clayton! I was on Dief yesterday ( all day), score was: fish 1 - tgdamentoutdoors goose egg. Great day to be on the water tho. Love the crisp new vid quality of your new camera. Keep them coming. Tight lines!
@Clayton Schick Outdoors All that matters to me is fish slime in the boat brother! Small or large, they all put a smile on my face. P.S. love the comments on barotrauma. Respect the resource!
Learning so much from you. I wish my Helix 7 is DI and SI capable. Preparing for my 1 week fall fishing. How do you have your big camera rig? Looks like you're using Seat Stand?
Wish I had a lake that productive close by. All my reservoirs are holding lock jawed fish and none will bite. I need to try the hyper rattle or jigging raps and see if that changes the game for me
I like your relaxed easy going laid back style. As for the big fish, could they have been relating to the shallow breaks and flats? Seems the pattern was the humps held small to medium fish. So where else to look for bigger fish but shallow? Unless they went super deep and you didn't want to chase them down there. You might have checked shallow in the video but you don't mention it nor show any graph shots less than 15 feet. Just brain storming, trying to think of options.
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors I miss fishing for them I was spoiled living in Wisconsin and fishing the mighty Mississippi River àt Dresbach MN lock and dam .
Hey dude love that lake I grew up and fished that lake my whole life. Do you ever go in the prairie classic. I’ve been working very hard this year to become a better fisherman learning how to fish different lures getting the proper rods for the different lures ect. Been out on the boat 35 times so far this year and thanks to some of your videos I am definitely a better fisherman today than I was at the beginning of the year. Anyway my dream is to become a tournament fisherman but it’s very intimidating any advice.
I haven't fished the classic since I was like 18 years old. Tournament fishing is a little over rated to be honest, but there is nothing wrong with joining a tournament even when you are newer to fishing just for the experience. You almost always have to fail before you can succeed :)
Like from me, unfortunately I watch without subtitles, and my English is below average, but still very interesting. Catch with small baits, and this year we have a boom in large tires (all polls put 5-6 inch tires) and are waiting for trophies: ) ..it would be interesting to see your entire arsenal of baits. Good luck.
Had my yearly fall canadian trip cancelled this year , watching all the places you travel to fish have given me hopeful future destinations. You crush !
@@ClaytonSchickOutdoors By not listing what the "lure" is and making the person have to watch the vid (or go to a website) ti find out what it is, is "click bait" . Typig patrol dose it all the time. Not taking a dig at you so please don't be offended. Also I would like to see more pike on the fly and how to tie the flies being used. V/R J-
