Thanks Robyn! I look forward to your videos. They don't drag, very informative, and I love that you're calm when you talk. Great morning content to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning.
Excellent review Robyn! I loved hearing your thoughts on the new fall/winter scents. I agree about the newer clam shells, they're definitely more fragile. Velvet Moon is the stand out for me in this group, it's absolutely beautiful! 🥰
Frosted Vanilla is the STANDOUT!!!!! It’s amazing!!!! I need a truckload. The birch and douglas fir in it are perfect. They balance the mint and vanilla.
A well deserved vacation 🥰 I haven’t warmed all of the new scents yet, wasn’t overly impressed on cold sniff. I do like Fall-ing Apple. I know a lot change on warming compared to cold sniff. So I’m holding back any judgment until I warm them all. I totally agree with your hubby on Huckleberry Hideaway 🤣 . I’m really excited about Scary Good, and Bright Cider Life and the other returning scents. I’m also looking forward to the harvest collection. I’m hoping for Maple Rum Cake to be the new tickle me Elmo scent 🤣. I’m also excited about the Holiday collection. They needed a coffee scent. Thank you Robyn for that most excellent review!
Awesome reviews Robyn, Can't wait to get all of these new bars, especially Frosted Vanilla! I hope my nose gets the same scent as yours does. Sounds like just my type of fragrance.
Yes! I have been waiting to see if someone compared Frosted Vanilla to BBW Marshmallow Fireside to see if I was crazy or not. LOL That scent came to mind after my first sniffs video and I can't get it out of my head every time I smell Frosted Vanilla now. As always, great video and excellent scent descriptions. Thanks for sharing! I'm totally using your "Life is too short for bad wax" quote. Love it!
Yes!!! I didn’t get it initially but definitely as the mint burns off, that second day is a lot more wood and sweet vanilla sugar that could read a tad marshmallowy! Definitely comparable then!
I really love the new Fall/Winter selection this year! I highly favor the Spring/Summer catalog because many Fall/Winter scents with cinnamon and strong tree notes are migraine inducing for me. This is probably the first Fall/Winter season that I will be ordering bars outside of my Scentsy Club. My Fall scents tend to be things like Johnny Appleseed with maybe one cube of Cider Mill in a far corner, Malificent, Vanilla Waves, Just Fir You in a far corner, etc. I do think that this year's introductions open up a wider scent profile overall. I also have to add that I loved some of the tree scents introduced last season. Icicles and Evergreen as well as Disney's Magic of the Season were both tree scents I did not find headache inducing in small doses. 😁
Disneys Season of Magic was a nice gentle tree scent that I also did alright with, and often pine scents are migraine triggers for me too. I hope we see it again this year!
Yayyyy Robyn, such a great warm review of the new fall scents👏👏👏 I actually let out a “wuHUUUU” when you talked about how beautiful Frosted Vanilla was on warm😆 I was kind of getting that from the tester and fell in LOVE, so I couldn’t understand how everyone didn’t fall in love with it too lol🤷♀️ I’m stoked that Velvet Moon is a better performer on warm! Looking forward to August 1 to stock up the most on FV, to a slightly lesser degree VM, and pick up Fall-ing Apples, Blackberry Spice, Black Currant & Plum, Cranapple Crumble, and Sips of Cider😁
Glad you had a good holiday! Great reviews as always! I agree with the Yr round not your typical FALL/Winter 🤔 I’m still excited for Falling Apples and I wish the Pearfect day was more spiced
Life is too short for bad wax, love it! I've been trying to remind myself of this lately ... I don't need to warm and love all the things. That's the beauty of Scentsy and the wax world! Something for everyone. :) I'm looking forward to trying all of them except Sips of Cider and Pear-fect Day.
Bring on Aug 1st! I’m trying to decide when is a reasonable date to change into fall warmer decor lol! 🎃 Prob Aug 15! The feels are real Robyn. Thanks for these warm reviews
End of August is my plan for my whole house to go orange and leafy/pumpkiny! If leaves start to change sooner and it feels fallish earlier I will go earlier too! 🎃🍁
@@RobynH What is this leaves changing thing of which you speak? Do palm trees change for "autumn?" Haha! Welcome back - you were missed! I'm looking forward to eventually trying all the new scents except maybe WA&S and VM, since those are just not my scent preferences. I've got Cedar Cider going today, while it's 4 billion degrees outside (C or F, your pick), trying to make room for Club and Flash Sale wax on the way and Fall/Winter bars soon after. I almost forgot how much I love it since I've been blowing through unloved vendor bakery and Scentsy summer fruity/tropical bars. Oh, and my Very Peary Pumpkin arrived. I'm letting it sit for a few days before I warm it, but on cold it's rather blah to me - don't hate it, don't love it, don't really smell it too strongly, but I can understand the baby food rep it has.
I’m going to place an order based on your recommendations. 🤞🏻 Frosted Vanilla and FALL-ing Apples sound wonderful. As far as the clam shells go, making them a bit thinner will probably make them a bit more biodegradable.
Your review is fantastic as always! I am pleasantly surprised by Fall-ing Apples. It's a beautiful Fall scent. Most Fall apple scents have cinnamon which I dislike. Also loving White Amber & Silk. Was hopeful for Velvet Moon...I only have testers. Practically put the whole tester in my nose, could only smell a whisper of scent.
Coming back 2 months later….haha Frosted Vanilla is definitely giving me Marshmallow Fireside vibes, and is my top new release for the catalog. It’s a club contender….depending on how strict I need to be at the end of the catalog. I suspect I don’t like many birch scents, but this one I do! I don’t like currant, I am pretty sure, but I ended up getting black currant and plum. It seemed fine to me. But your description with cashmere & corduroy makes sense to me! I decided not to get sips of cider because it’s too perfumey for me on cold…and yeah life is too short for bad wax. I finally decided to try cranapple crumble but I’m anticipating wanting to mix it with more bakery. Overall I thought the collection was too perfumey to my nose. Frosted Vanilla may be my only winner.
I’m inclined to agree that as a whole, the new releases are on the perfumey side, much moreso than usual. Frosted Vanilla is likely my favorite as well, although I do also really like Blackberry Spice and Cranapple Crumble and would probably reach for those most of the year. I’ve got Frosted Vanilla in right now and sure do enjoy that sweet vanilla birch scent.
What a great review of warmed scents! I agree that it doesn't seem particularly fall or winter specific. More bakery would be nice! I heard someone mention (sorry, I watch so many, I am not sure who it was) that they are coming out with a buttercream collection. I am surprised that they took Apple Butter Frosting away and then came out with that collection. It would be AMAZING if ABF would be included with that and eligible for upping my club! I noticed my clamshell that I bought off of marketplace for Marshmallow Mint brick was very similarly brittle. I thought it might have to do with how it was stored since my other brick that I purchased straight from the website wasn't like that. Hopefully they don't negatively affect performance over time. I have about 1/2 a brick left to warm this winter. What I am most excited seems to be changing often in these weeks leading up to August 1st! Cranapple Crumble, Velvet Moon, White Amber and Silk, and Black Currant & Plum will be ordered for sure! Thanks for sharing your detailed thoughts! Smiles. Abby Smith
Yes there is a Buttercream bundle coming closer to the holidays! It’s 4 bars, and unfortunately ABF isn’t one of them - but it does sound absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait to try them! There’s a Gingerbread Buttercream in there that I’m looking forward to!
In Australia, we don't have the cran apple scent. Instead, we have Orchard Sunrise and Scentsy describes it as: Freshly picked red delicious and harvest honeycrisp apples with a hint of clove - It's the only one I'm keen to try.
🇨🇦Hi Robyn. Thank you for the review. I enjoy similar scents and look forward to your opinions. Are the scent profiles only available for scents of the month? Love checking out the triangle for complex scents. Thanks!!
Generally yes, just for scent of the month. But at SFR they were shown for the 10 new scents and many folks took screenshots. I haven’t seen them on Workstation.
Thanks for the review! I feel like White Amber & Silk smells exactly like Caress bar soap. And yes--I agree with your husband on Huckleberry Hideaway, lol.
Great reviews- I really enjoyed this whole line up- some I melted with others and together they smelled amazing - like pearfect day with sips of cider 🥰
@@RobynH crumb top is in next January's bbmb and I'm so excited to get to try it!! I'm going to try cranapple Crumble mixed with Buckleberry and also blackberry spice with Buckleberry
I decides to just get the testers and I'm glad I did. I cannot stand velvet moon, honestly the only scnetsy smell I've ever truly hated from scentdy. I'm not a huge fan of white amber and silk, I think it's just okay. My favorites from cold sniff are huckleberry hideaway and blackberry spice
Do you think Blackberry Spice is at all like Breakfast in Bed? BIB is in my club but many were surprised it didn't come back so wondering if it's because a new scent is too similar. I love woodsy scents, especially oak and birch, and want them strong for open area, even if they don't last.
I don’t think it’s similar to Breakfast In Bed. Breakfast in Bed was spicy-foody/bakery to my nose, whereas Blackberry Spice is woodsy-fruity-spicy/warm.
I’m soooo jealous you could smell velvet moon! Wow!!! I barely smelled it. I wanted to love it, if only I could smell it…. I wonder if the vanilla in it is messing with my nose
@@RobynH I melted to and it was virtually non-existent…. I’m being to think it’s the warmers in that room. 🤔 I put in sandalwood tangerine and it was very light. 🤷🏻♀️ I feel like it shouldn’t be?
I think mint gum ignores the complexity of the scent and I strongly disagree - it has a lot of smooth woody and vanilla notes that make it really special! Falling apples is a traditional apple scent, but it’s more than basic apple. It’s a classic apple with oak and woodsy notes to really ground it.
I’d say they’re quite different. Frosted Vanilla is sweeter and more complex, less minty. More woods. And overall definitely sweet where I don’t get much sweetness from Best in Snow.
Bright Cider Life says it’s got apple but I don’t smell apple so much. My favorite actual appley-apple is probably winterberry apple tea. But Falling Apples is really good too!
