*_FOR THOSE WHO ARE LEARNING THIS SONG_* Tutorial starts at: _3:03_ Notes: _In this song, I have assorted different parts of it into segments so progression is more practice friendly!_ *RECOMMENDED CRITERIA FOR BEGINNERS:* Every day you should learn and practice atleast 1-3 hours a day for an appropriate amount of progression! S1 - week one (3 days) S2 - week one (3 days) S3P1 - week two (3 days) S3-P2 - week two (5 days Learn some hammer ons along the way) S4 - week three (1-3 days) S5 - week three (2 or 3 days) -------------------------------------------- *SEGMENT NO.1 (INTRO)* Starts at: _3:03_ In this segment, the intro must be played 4 times before you can proceed to the next segment. *SEGMENT NO.2* Starts at: _5:03_ In this part, there are gonna be occasions where this might be tricky to some, but overall, it ain't that difficult to say the least... *SEGMENT NO.3 (PART 1)* Starts at: _6:01_ During this segment, we'll be doing this first part like the last one, but on the second part, we'll do some fancy stuff on the guitar! *SEGMENT NO.3 **_(PART 2: HAMMER ONS)_* Starts at: _6:30_ In this part, we'll be adding Hammer ons. Although it's a bit difficult for some so I highly suggest to practice hammer ons before continuing. _STUDENT'S ADDITIONAL NOTES FOR SEGMENT NO.3 PART 2_ - If you're a beginner and you are having some difficult times with the Hammer ons on Bars _58_ and _60_ You can replace Bars *57*-*60* with *Bars 49-52* which is from Part 1 but you can re-play this for Part 2 and continue to *Bar 61* *SEGMENT NO.4 (COOL UPBEAT)* Starts at: _6:58_ During this segment, speed and coordination must be met accordingly to the tempo of the song, Bass notes should be clear and the lead notes should too. My favourite part! This segment is very fun and I guess most of ya'll can agree too! But you gotta be hitting the low E string allot though. *SEGMENT NO.5 (OUTRO)* Starts at: _7:56_ In this last segment, you have to play this for 4 times but in the original song, it was only played for 2 times before hitting the very end of the song. Oh! Keep in mind, this part is pretty tiring since you have to barre for a long period of time while the rest of the fingers are doing their part. So yeah, everything is coming to an end, this was a blast! Hope you can practice well! Good luck! *- - - - - Student's addictional notes - - - - -* *_This may look like an easy song, well atleast if you're playing it classically, but all depends on your fingertips. In my Opinion, the reason being it a level 3 rated song is because of it's tempo, hammer ons, hand shapes and rhythm being too difficult for beginners to undermine it's concept, But It'll take allot of time though especially the hammer ons_* Personal Diary: Started - Oct 9, 2022 (Still practicing...) Fiished - Nov 16, 2022 (I made allot of people in the classroom speechless)
I‘m speaking from experience when I advise you to first play pieces that are your level, maybe even lower than your level to be able to really focus on your technique. That will make it easier to play difficult pieces later. Of course you can try more advanced pieces, but I don’t think you should focus solely on them. I don’t know how you’re practicing at the moment, but I think someone giving me that advice would have helped me at the start of my journey. :)
@@yasminb.6369 From a technical standpoint this advice may be correct, but I think everything is second to motivation. If you have easier pieces that you're motivated to learn, of course it makes sense to start from there. But that's not always the case. It's better to stumble along teaching yourself a difficult piece than to lose interest in guitar. Most of the people who I've talked to who stopped playing guitar lost interest after taking lessons where their guitar teacher had them play easy, uninteresting songs. I started out learning song by song, choosing each one to be outside my comfort zone. Even though it took a long time before I could play them comfortably, I was motivated to learn them because I enjoyed the music and the process was rewarding. It may have been an inefficient way to learn, but if I had gone by the book I'm not sure if I'd still be playing guitar.
It's very impressive that you listen to your subscribers. I've seen this requested a few times, and although I don't play computer games, I had a listen to the music, and it's very nice. Looking forward to hearing your take on it!
I dunno if you know the game or already played it, but if you didn't, I highly recommend you to do so, it's a beautiful and very cool game and has a really charismatic story and characters, so u should give it a try ;)
Im a classical guitarist but im also just as much a video games lover and this will be a great way for me to relax at night, sky guitar has been a huge part of my guitar journey and i am extremely grateful. I can't thank you enough sky guitar for everything you've done for us.
btw for those who care, ive found that a capo on the 2nd fret makes it sound much closer to the original but its very difficult to play the part where all 4 fingers need to be on the first fret. You may have to slightly wrap your hand around the capo to play comfortably.
I like it with a capo as well, and I've found that steeply angling the capo (closest to desired fret on low E, farther from high E, i go somewhere around the middle of the fret) helps me a ton. I hope this helps someone a bit :)
Fun fact: the original Fallen Down is played at 431Hz instead of the standard 440Hz. In order to play the song in the original key, tune your guitar to 431Hz and place a capo on the 2nd fret.
I mostly play rock and metal, classical guitar has always been a no for me even though I love that type of music. Needless to say this has been a challenge, but sometimes you gotta do different things to improve, right? beautiful arrangement!
Yo, can I ask you something, I don't think you're going to see this, but in case you do, I'd like to ask for "promise (reprise)" from silent hill 2 I think, I have been looking for it and I still haven't found it, so if you make a video of that, I will be very thankful
Awesome song! I have to say though, why haven't you done 'Considering Hobbits' yet? I feel like it would be a great 3 or 4 star song to do and it's sooo good! Just a thought, but I love your channels, long time subscriber!
Hey, just passed here cuz this song hits me hard, i've learned it in the guitar some months ago. As a kid i always loved music and wanted to play an instrument, so i bought an acoustic guitar, and trained till i was decent on it and this channel helped me to evolve A LOT. The guitar has been the instrument of my life for a long time, and it helps me when i feel sad, alone, etc. Your channel is in my opinion the best guitar teaching one out there, and i was able to learn and play songs that got me trought all the trouble, like anxiety, social phobia and many other. I recently made and approach on the piano, and i loved it. in the first months i played no guitar at all, but seeing these videos made me want to play it, to remenber the feeling. Thanks for being a part of my life. I know it sounds silly, but it actually means a lot to me, music makes me remenber im alive, and playing while feeling strong emotions would always make me relaxed, and take the problems away for a moment. thanks Btw, im from Brazil, so my spelling might not be as good as it should, but i did my best ;D
Thank you. These words of yours gave me a lot of motivation to continue my Guitar journey. I've been so busy lately that I haven't even had the time to relax at all. Today, I tried to put everything aside for a moment and picked up my Guitar after a whole week. Opened RU-vid up and looked for this song to practice again, scrolling through the comments section to find some motivation, and then I found your comment. It really helped me feel better after a terrible day. Hope you have a great journey on your life.
This is so nice! this is the first time I'm playing something that sounds so nice and it's my first time I'm actually learning a song on the guitar! THANK YOU for this video! It's amazing ^u^/ I'm so exided to learn this !!
This intro kind of breaks my brain, even though it doesn't even look that hard. I am absolutely looking forward to being able to play this soon! Learned Snowdin in a few weeks time (even though it's not entirely perfect yet) and this is gonna follow soon 😎
Thank you for this one, I definitely can't wait to learn it! Speaking of beautiful videogame music, I'd love to see you play and tutorialize "To Zanarkand" one of the saddest, yet most beautiful, videogame songs I know.
Personal diary: started somewhere around Dezember 2022, but gave up. Started again 15.January this time no excuses. Update 23.3.23 Well what a date. I am a piece of goddamn worthless spit. But I'll try again.
