The funny thing is that the audience Pippa has cultivated almost certainly watches her for the exact OPPOSITE reason; it's really apparent the kind of person Pippa is, warts and all, and that's kind of refreshing in the entertainment space. There's a certain comfort in spending time with somebody who's okay with showing their worst traits or most embarrassing hobbies around you.

Yeah... we saw how Pippa basically imploded when she got to talk with Metokur for less than a minute. She was so star struck that she was even unable to speak properly. Pippa really is a fan foremost before being a performer herself.

I think pippa kind of has the opposite mentality of many of her fans. One of the reasons Pippa is my oshi is because I can tell she's genuine and honest and even with her many flaws I still like her. If it was any other way it would feel like it's just a lie

For me, I think the thing is you don't want to know if it is all a mask or not. Some streamers will be the most genuine, true-to-themselves people around. Some aren't. You don't want break the potential illusion.

Ironically the same logic doesn't apply to Pippa, she has so little disney magic I can't imagine interacting with her outside of streams being any different than on streams lol.

I hope Pippa will at least have the courage to reach out and make friends with someone. If not with streamers she idolizes then with someone. She needs more friends.

It took a year for pippers to stop thinking of the phase girls as nothing but coworkers, now you can tell she considers a couple of them their friends and actually gives a a shit about them. Maybe in a year we'll get a shondo collab, if sleepy managed to get close to pippa in no time that they have hung out IRL a couple times I can see shondo and pippa growing up that close, all it takes is for one of them to stop being that autistic and take a chance.

My story from experience Mew2King was my favorite Smash Bros pro. He was staying at a friend's house for a day during his tournament travels in 2009 He's permanently my favorite pro. Playing against a world top level player and knowing they're just human but really good at the game is pretty hype. The realness of it is way better than the show of it

And sometimes you're just too different and you gotta say goodbye. I guess it's just that situation where you pick between living a sweet lie or knowing the truth. When it comes to vtubers, some people just want to see the magic and not the magician.

Such as talking literally nonstop. I've had friends that hated me for talking nonstop. Meanwhile, I pay my bills by talking nonstop into a mic for those that have the opposite reaction. But sometimes I invite a viewer to play a game and they hang out after we're done, realize that I am just a flesh sack of chattering words, and get annoyed XD idk. It's weird. I've never become friends with someone that I watched, or idolized in any way. Though I have become friends with tons of content creators and see every side of them. It never seemed odd. It's like watching an actor on and off stage. It's the same thing as that.

This is something I completely agree with in fact I actively don't watch a LOT of streams because the more you watch someone the more traits you don't like of them you discover, this has happened a few times before and has made me even hate some people I once followed, this is also the reason I love clips so much, because they show the cute/funny/unseiso moments without having to watch the ones I don't like, ignorance is a bliss

It's kinda like how Hollywood actors formed a huge barrier to block fans from approaching them, because who they are irl so different from how they appear in movies or interviews. However the most popular actors/actresses are definitely those who don't put up an act during interviews or meetings. They'll still play pretend when they entertain on the big screen, but they are authentic wherever else they go in life.

As a fan, I understand Pippa's point of view. You "meet your hero," say hi, and you have no idea what they're gonna say back, or even if whatever they say back is genuine or just fanservice. But the thing is, Pippa is more than just a fan, she's a _colleague._ Best case scenario, I as a nobody can only reasonably expect fanservice. But at the very least, even the worst case scenario for Pippa is an honest, genuine "fuck off." She literally has to deal with half the anxiety of the average fan.

I love the idea of someone who is a people person and knows how to give good advice and has a a great overall personality. I can admire that from afar as a fan. I get it. You go from fan to potentially friend and it’s a weird feeling to be in an “inner circle” of someone you admire. Especially when you see what they’re like off camera. The hey could be outright a-holes or just be normal people with their own problems. It shatters the perception you had of them. It’s like finding out Superman is Clark Kent and you go from seeing to men to one that’s combination of hero and dork. But sometimes you’re a Lois Lane or Jimmy Olsen and you can handle that change. It all depends on the person you are and the person they are.
