I am two years late to this video, but I am glad to see weaver listened to you. I am gonna order their belt, and it has almost all your recommendations.
I guessed right on the axe pouch at least when I first saw it. Knew it would flop around. I use an aluminum box for my axe and can even stuff an extra wedge or two in it if need be. I love it.
I've been running my ported jonsered 2188 with a wiesco and a 32" oregon light weight . I love that bar . Its had 5 chains on it through the chains life. I sharpen on the saw and only take it off to air blast clean and dress the rails. Then I flip the bar and put same chain back on. Bsafe buckin.
I can only imagine how bad that axe would smack around if you were moving through the bush! Some little changes would really dial that belt In. Love to you and the family❤️
Billy, if you want to make that axe pouch firmer, put a few coats of linseed oil on them. It will really firm up and protect leather. I coat all of my axe sheaths, inside and out, with boiled linseed oil and my heavy leather work gloves with mink oil to soften them up.
72feet 2inch ; ) Thanks for the great video! It gave me a smile for the Sunday. All the best to you, your family and the whole buckin army from Germany!
Buckin's IronHorse Mac!!!! Those pipes though!!!😍😍 😎😎 I'm a proud owner of a Buckin' Special already. Happy guessing to all and congrats to the winner👍😀!
Hey Billy Ray, I'm ah guestamating 87'-9", maybe a little longer. But that's my story and I'm sticken to it. The tree looked dry as a match, and those can be a problem in the fire season. Wait ah minute, it is fire season out west. But staying green in the Eastern end of Tennessee. God Speed, and safe fillings,,,,,👍 Semper Fi,,,
They should just cover the belt with a grid of the webbing (like the mole system on military gear) and cut slits in the pouches so people can customize the belt and place their tools wherever they want. No?

Does your kit have to be leather? The first time I saw your gripes with the gear, I thought you should talk to the tactical kit makers. Those dudes will cure your kill ills right now. It's amazing what those people create.
