Falling and Bucking with Husqvarna 445

Found a decent sized dead tree with a hard lean, fell it exactly where i wanted it. I used a "sizwheel" cut to help the tree fall in the intended direction. I got the sizwheel cut idea from RU-vid user Tarzan Thomas. It works quite well. The 445 has a brand new chain and a small muffler mod. Just opened the exhaust port a bit on the muffler. Video was taken in the Spruce Capital of the World, Prince George BC, Canada

Man I know I said it already but I love had that saw sounds , it's got this sweet crackle to it at idle, sounds like the throttle response is fantastic as well .

That 445 sounds really sweet , I had a jonsered cs2245 which is the same exact saw but in red plastics and jonsered badging, it was the best saw I ever had also my favorite to use. Would you mind doing a video showing up close exactly how you went about modding and opening up your muffler. I've done this on a couple days I used to own along with returning the carb afterwords and it totally makes a difference . Take good care of that saw and it should last you 15-20 years , they are dependable as hell

that's a impressive small saw!!! did you do anything to the carb after you opened the muffler up ?

do you still have that saw ? and if so would you recommend it ? how many tanks of fuel would you say you have though it ? I'm looking for a small saw to keep on the back of my ATV

I would actually recommend something in the professional line up of Husky's, but depends on how much you want to spend. If you want something bulletproof I would recommend a 550xp, but if money is tight then I would recommend the 445. It is a consumer grade saw however so keep that in mind. I have approx. 50 tanks through it now, it has a muffler mod and still runs strong. The plastic jaws for the pull starter have started to break though...

@@husqvarna3726 that's from not putting tension on the pull start rope before you pull on it. Your probably just grabbing and snapping it out as you pull on it which causes the teeth to slam together before the rope tensions and it's gonna break things . Don't blame the saw blame the user , I had the same saw for 5 years , felled over 50 trees with it and cut 4-5 cords of firewood each year for 5 years , it was the best saw Ive had and still ran absolutely perfect after 5 years , I also never had to replace anything except the chain ,spark plug fuel filter and air filter.
