As you can tell, this elevator is falling apart and none of the directional lanterns work, the inside indicator is completely burned out, and the phone box is very hard to open. The Door Open button is out of place and probably doesn't even work. In addition, the COP is falling apart, and when I was last here, when I tried to get the phone box open, the COP ripped open with all the wires exposed! Seriously that is a bad shock hazard. I really hope they either fix this issue or modernize as this elevator really needs it. BUT it does run actually really well, which is why I wouldn't call it a Death Trap. But a message to this particular La Quinta, fix your elevators!
