I just lost my brother, he died to to suicide and lost his battle with depression, I have been looping this song sense I found out and each time I cry…this pain captures the pain of loosing a sibling so well, and I feel so bad for Ronnie for having to go through that. I can very much hear the pain in his voice and it kills me.

I lost my brother Shane two years ago! While he was riding his Harley to his truck yard to see his new truck, a drunken asshole decided it'd be great to run a stop sign and across a 5 lane road including a turn lane and run my brother Over. With his three kids in the car then proceeded to get out the car and run leaving his kids on the scene, and California saw it fit to let him out less than a year later, I relate to this song more then I ever thought I would when it came out cuz I had lost brothers to substance abuse and even murder, but the day I lost Shane this song took on a whole new meaning💙 thanks for being you Ronnie and making the music you do it truly helps those of us that have trouble dealing with traumatic issues and don't like to speak about them get through things please never stop until you cannot do it anymore! I lost my brother 21/05/2021 he was only 26 .. then my dad 10/10/2021, whenever he starts singing this part " I took for granted family and once they're gone you'll never get that back" I fall in tears.. I wish you two are in a good place right now, you will always be remembered.

Fits perfectly. My brother died of an overdose two months ago. And he had called while I was out to say he loved me. He and I had been through so much together when we were younger. And losing him was the worst thing that ever happened to me. Yes, he finally made me cry. And I wish that he was still here. Cherish every moment you have with them. People always talk crap about ronnie and yeah maybe he made a mistake but he's a person with a beutiful heart that I will always love. I say this to any of his haters... Reason i started to cry, i have a big sister i love but have a complicated relationship with, i was suicidal some years ago and i was around 11 years old when i tried to commit suicide for the first time, i failed, i got better, i broke down at age at 12 and i failed again, 13 years i tried again and i stopped myself and thought how much i loved my family and i just couldn't do it. now after 4 years.. i became suicidal again and i harmed myself in mental breakdowns and last year i did the same, harm myself instead of trying to die.. i tried drowning myself last year in the forrest but it was more difficult than i thought, now i want to die but i have so many i love and care for so i wont do it but i have a hard time mentally but i have a goal, be friends with my sister, i want her to talk to me like a friend can talk to me, my sister is always cold towards me.. she's been in my shadows since i was baby and all things started to go down hill for me and i got diagnosed with all sorts of things and my sister lived in my shadow and i denied EVERYTHING we had in common. Now i try to correct those things and i've been trying for 2 years but i think it's somewhat too late. But if i died then i could never make her smile and be a good sister for once and if i died i couldn't be her little sister anymore, if i'm dead then she has no sister anymore. She would be all alone, i have 5 siblings on my fathers side (same mum but diffren't fathers) 2 of them are unknown, but i love my 3 little baby brothers and leaving them behind like that would pain them more than my father and their mother not being together anymore, who would make them smile when they cry? their older sister (me) would't be able to do that anymore, i wouldn't be able to make my father proud and smile and cheer him up in his dark times, he lost almost everything and i could only make him smile and be there for him and it turned out that was what he needed. i love this song because it reminds me of why i have to fight on and keep in mind that i'm not the only one suffering, if i end my suffering i'll just cause much more suffer and sorrow and grief to all my family and friends and everyone i love and care about. it reminds me of those who's been supporting me since i was born.

One night I was at my grandmothers and My aunt called and said my sister had been in a bad car accident. I went to the sight and saw that the car had flipped over many times and I broke down there. I thought I lost my sister, but My mom picked me up and carried me somewhere I finally looked up and saw My sister sitting there telling me she was alright. She got out of the wreck with only 20+ tiny cuts and bruises. I thank God everyday for Jess, Because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here right now. No one would have help me when I was bullied, even tho she didn't know my intentions she was there. She always was.
i feel your pain same thing happened to me i was at my granmama and found out my sister got into a car crash, and when i heard my heart just sank. she ended up with both her collar bones broken and very squished in car. I'm so blessed to still have her with and wont have got thing high school without her.
When I was little My bestfriends name was Anthony and I loved him so much but I could never tell him. We drifted apart when I moved and it broke me, we don't talk much anymore but when I hear that line "I love you Anthony" everything inside me breaks and I just fall apart. 😭💔

I completely broke down because I have an older brother named Anthony and he was in a horrible car crash and he was in such horrible condition that he really almost died and when I heard this song, I started balling my eyes out cause I started thinking what if my brother actually died.... I hate when people say 'it's just a dog' and 'you can just get another' because really. Having an animal is like marrying someone, you love them so much. And when you see them die in pain, you can't just go marry someone else. But losing my dog probably messed me up more than I needed it to. These kids at my So.. Uh. Everyone is saying someone who died, and personally. My loved one is my dog. Yeah. He died about 3 weeks ago because he become paralysed at five years old. I agree. I lost my cat, her name was KitCat. Me and my family have had her for Three years. Our land lord said no animals so we tested it out. We had to put her outside... One day these dogs scared her up a tree. A really BIG tree... I could here her pleads and cries all night. She couldn't climb down because she was to scared. We left food at the bottom of the tree in case she did. We even called the fire department... They said," Its a cat! It'll climb down!" Which was false...She never came down... 6 days she stayed up there. Pleading, begging.. Suddenly she just stopped meowing. She was to week. We tried everything... And nothing we did. The last day I saw her was the day she died. I watched her die in that tree... My little KitCat died in a tree. She was a kitten when we got her. My dad found her as a kitten in a junk yard. It was cold and raining... So we took her home and she became ours. I named her KitCat because I was eating a KitCat when we found her. She was so sweat and nice. She slept at the end of my bed every night. (This song and paragraph doesn't help when I am watching Greys and Anatomy... Especially when Derek Died! Well...I'm watching the episode after..Its still sad!)
+Tired Traitor I feel for you. I lost my dog Coco at 2 years old. She was a mix of a German-Shepherd/Chow. I love and miss her so much. It's only been a year since her pass, but I can tell you that they'll always be with us. Watching, waiting for us to be reunited with them.

I would go back to when my dog got attacked, when he was about five months old (And where it ruined his back and eventually turned into him paralyzed) I would jump in front of him and get that dog to hurt me instead of Spike, I would sacrifice myself, because he doesn't deserve to be dead. In 2015 i heard this song for first time ever. In 2016 I lose my only full blood sibling his name was Brian we shared almost everything together and every now again when I start missing him alot I'll play is song for him, and try not to cry.

This makes me remember why I'm alive. Last year (3/25/14) I took near 40-50 pills. I remember falling asleep and wanting it to all end, sadly I woke up and I went through horrific hallucinations that have made me weary of going up my stairs to my bedroom. My grandma didn't notice that something was up, but luckily my brother did...he saved my life. I begged him and begged him to tell my grandma, he was there with me the whole time...he held me while I was shaking, waiting for the ambulance. He didn't get to see me in the hospital, nor does he treat me better than he did before, but he saved me...I would have been dead if he didn't make me tell my grandma. We don't have the best brother sister relationship, but I love him no matter what I say.
