God I just love these simulations, they’re really the only videos that fully satisfy my childhood curiosity regarding how these celestial bodies would look upon arrival in a spacecraft/ in orbit.

i kinda make my way thru my days with pretty intense depression and cPTSD. I keep these vids bookmarked for that exact reason too. im obsessed with astronomic anything, especially your fall into videos. somehow they help me kinda balance out a little, worst case scenario, i have to watch them a couple times to hit the reset button in my brain. i hope you know how much these videos have helped me

Coloration of Pluto looks like espresso coffee. When you said "ice plains and towering ice mountains" I instantly thought "mmmmm iced coffee on the surface of pluto". Food jokes aside, (and since your vids offer very good visualizations), i'd like to see a vid of the sun turning into a red giant but from the perspective of the planets further out into the solar system that don't get instantly vaporized. I.e A view from Mars, then Jupiter, then Saturn, then Uranus, then Neptune, Then Pluto and how they are all effected by the sun going red giant.

This is my absolute favorite planet. I love the way it looks, the landscape, the colors, and of course the 5 moons. I also love Pluto because of it's unique orbit as it's tilted and clips through Neptune's orbit. This planet may be the smallest but it's also the most mysterious. I also love Pluto for it's "dance" with Charon. It's as if Pluto and Charon is a double planet. I love icy worlds like Pluto. And shockingly, it has an atmosphere and has actual clouds. For real, search it up. This is my favorite planet, it's unique and stands out the most compared to other planets.

Watching this video and inserting me in this situation made me feel a very weird feeling of loneliness and confussion, as if i was lost. Being billions of Kilometers away from our mother the Earth in the edge of the solar system must be a truly bone-chilling experience.

Pluto seems oddly comfortable (compared to the rest of the planets and excluding earth) there are no violent storms, it just Is, cold and round with its little blue glow

Planet or not, I'm stealing Pluto

Back in 82 I could throw a Pig skin to Pluto. How much you wanna bet I could throw this football right out to SAG a* and back? Yeah coach would av put me on 4th quarter back, I woulda played Steak. No doubt, no doubt in ma mind.

Theres something unfathomably sad about seeing the sun shine so faintly, unable to warm oneself and one's surroundings beyond a mere few degrees over space temperature. Sol truly is the mother of creation as we know it and we suffer without her warming love.

It's crazy how a world so small and 5.9 billion kilometres away from the Sun can still have a lot of potential.

Pluto feels very demure, very mindful. It's distant, quiet, and mysterious, like it's minding its own cosmic business. Not trying to be like the other planets with their bustling atmospheres and rings. Just floating out there, peaceful but with a kind of lonely, eerie vibe. Definitely not here for the drama of the solar system 💅🌌

Since you showed us falling into a dwarf planet and a moon, I have more suggestions. Dwarf Planets: Ceres, Haumea, Makemake, Eris & Sedna Moons: Luna (Earth’s Moon), Ganymede (Jupiter’s Largest Moon), Ariel (Uranus’ Moon), Triton (Neptune’s moon), Charon (Pluto’s moon), MK2 (Makemake’s Moon), Dysnomia (Eris’ Moon)

That sudden drop at 3:45 startled me. Nice to know these videos can still freak me out! The Pluto system is so fascinating to me. I only recently learned of its 4 other moons as well as its binary dwarf planet configuration with Charon. So from the surface, does Charon just stay in one place in the sky, since they're basically tide-locked with each other as they spin around?

I would love to be immortal and live on Pluto. I would totally not go insane.

"Pluto & Charon are often called a double dwarf planetary system." I know. I do it all the time. They say: "Welcome to Wal-Mart!" I say: "Pluto & Charon are a double dwarf planetary system." And then I try to squeeze it in 2-3x more before I finish shopping. I am the only reason they are *often* called that.

If I ever got to choose how I died, I'd crash into Pluto. I would hold my arms wide, and as I descended, just before impact, I would shout "YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A PLANET TO ME!"

Fun fact: Jimi Hendrix wrote "Purple Haze" about this exact scenario.

I still classify Pluto and the other planets beyond it as planets. Shoot I think two planets beyond Pluto have moons. NASA just was too lazy to want to rewrite everything for the younger gens to learn it all. So they simplified it by making them dwarf planets.

I wish I had the ability to survive the intensity of space. I'd go and sit on Pluto and just let time pass thinking and gazing back towards the Sun.

I made this landing on Pluto many times. I had to add additional layers on top of my winter coat and hat and mittens. It was -367°F where I landed the 1st time. On a dare I ran out in nothing but bikini briefs! I was shaking my butt and dancing a jig. But it all ended when they left without me! Long story short, it gets cold fast when you're almost nude at those temps. 😮

mmm i have a suggest for you. i suggested this to another channel but i shall suggest it to you too! ya should redo a planet as id like to see the glow and heat itself showcased Ya REDO a gas giant planet. It's a thought at least. Maybe Jupiter since I'm certain that one was done already? Could even make it a night time fall rather then day time to show off the lightning without sun interference as I seen stuff long ago of astronomers seeing the night side being flashy... if my memory ain't failing me you should also post a link to the original day time video too at the beginning or at the top of the description. also this is a good opportunity to showcase aurora too. it be cool to have aurora around us and lighting flashing under us. idk how much of Jupiter's aurora are visible in visible light. this also is an opportunity to do brown dwarfs eventually with accurate heat glows too if ud like as im sure you thought or will think about it soon on a 2nd note. you did earth once. you can do it again at night and have us land in a major city as they are well lit. can have us fall through a thunderstorm too if you wish. and def can include aurora above the clouds if you happen to have the fall occur during active solar weather

That doesn't look like Taneries. Pluto? Why did they name my home planet after an animated dog? We have an atmosphere. We've adapted being as far away from the sun for millions of years. Some of us years ago made the exodus to Earth many years ago. Taneries is a thriving planet.

I always like to imagine how this would compare to real footage from the future of an actual landing/ encounter. Comparing how accurate this would be

Cmon when is mercury? It even has a type of terrain called strange terrain so its not all boring. Strange terrain is very rare in our solar system so when you do mercury please make doom guy land on that terrain.

Fun fact. Pluto's atmosphere is only semipermanent. Since when the dearf planet gets farther from the sun in its epliptical orbit, the atmosphere freezes and falls to the planet's surface.
