The cars in Fallout's pre-war era don't use gasoline. They're all nuclear powered.

Actually there are Internal Combustion cars that run on gasoline, but with oil shortages the gas is like $12 a gallon according to some of the "backgound" fuel price signs in the games. So the nuke cars are competitive, since they can run for years on one fuel pellet.

Fallout's universe is a sort of alt-history narrative which saw world powers heavily invest in nuclear energy, resulting in mankind's greatest achievements being things like robotics, nuclear-fueled cars, etc. But this perpetuated Cold War geopolitics well into the 2000s. Basically 1950s retro-futurism fully realized. America had become a sort of atomic utopia. But America was also facing off against Russia and China, ultimately culminating in total nuclear war which started on October 23, 2077 (the first scene in the episode). Referred to as The Great War, it lasted all of 2 hours before the world was effectively ended.

From the TV show, it looks like racism and sexism either was never a factor or by 2077 both were things of the past. There wasn't even hint of either at the birthday party, not even subtle backhanded jabs. Only at the price of global thermonuclear war. Yay? 🤔🤣

@@KenFromchicago Truman desegregated the military in 1947. People forget there WAS progress before the larger civil rights "movement" in the 1960's. With long-term ongoing wars, it would have been vital to get as many Americans on-board with patriotic projects, so breaking down a lot of social barriers would have been a reasonable way to do that.

@@kenle2 and yet there was lot of racist and sexist laws in before, during and after both WW1 and WW2. There's all kinds of logical and financial benefits for desegregation and equality but those in power liked the benefits that they gained from racism and sexism even more. So it took far longer for desegregation to happen.

So I played the first one and I absolutely loved it and I’m actually in the middle of the second one right now. I’m in the costs del sol region. My son already beat it and we actually recorded his reaction to the end but we haven’t been able to edit it yet. I hope to do the same.

@@rorschach5184 Only since the German National Football league banned replica shirts with the number 44 on the back because the font so resembled the SS runes. Just like this logo, or whatever it is, does on this vid. And if anything does bring to mind the Nazis, it's gonna be either the swastika or the SS runes, especially to my generation. So, is it unreasonable to point it out and share my concern about this poster's agenda?

Some of us would like to know why Third street reactions aren’t reacting to X men 97 we get you’ve got a slate of other shows and schedule wise it can be difficult to fit a new one in but it’s such a good show and would bring so many Disney and X Men viewers to your channel and you guys reacting to it would be good to do now before the show ends in 5 episodes but just a thought we’d love to see Shane & Zack from Third street REACT TO X MEN 97 🥰🥰

"Damn the pickels" You can still eat them, just don't use the pickeljuice. Fallout is a real gore fest. In the game you can even skill that limbs explode with your crits. It does not more dmg or more crits, just more blood, and i skill it like in every playthrough. Be prepared i guess war... war never change
