The Ghoul watching his movie was to symbolize the time when he "lost" his humanity in the movie when he sold out and went did the new script instead of keeping to the values that made him famous in the first place. Lucy will have to fall like he did in order to survive in the wastelands. In the mean time, Lucy gave him back a little bit of his humanity. Only a little.
You’re definitely right about that I think, the show is really well made with these deep messages, told in such subtle ways at times. I still hope Lucy will be able to tightly hold on to her humanity. This journey will undoubtedly changes her, it already has to some extent but I think she’ll be okay in the end (or at least I hope so)
@@Sessis It basically his past self talking to him in a way. In the movie he said to the villain that he was strong and ugly (2 out of 3, the third being dignity), which perfectly fits onto the Ghoul now too, since he's now also strong and ugly, but lost his dignity on the way. I think that together with Lucy being such a good hearted person definitely had an effect on him.
This is a series that is well worth watching again. The second time through there are so many things that have a different meaning than the first time. For example, the "Don't lose your head" poster in the first episode is like foreshadowing for Wilzig's head. Or Ma June's comment about Lucy having all ten fingers.
Here's an interesting thought about these ghoul medication vials: Before this show, it was never mentioned that there was a drug that could prevent a ghoul from going feral. It was always a random and uncertain process. So fans are debating whether the lore was rewritten or if Cooper Howard aka The Ghoul was tricked into thinking it would prevent him from going feral and became addicted to these vials out of fear and desperation. His reactions in this episode could also be withdrawal symptoms.
In the Fallout universe being exposed to extreme radiation can turn people into ghouls. They are more resiliant than normal people and have extremely long lifespans. But their brains can rot over time, driving them insane. Those are called Feral Ghouls. They are the Fallout equivalent to Zombies. The spray that can prevent this is an invention for the series.
Actually the episodes are longer than they if they were on network TV. the episodes just feel short cause you are enjoying them. Also love the comment you made about Lucy's Suit. Never put its great and I just realized that it happens in the episode where is the end of the firt half of the season

@@SessisThat outfit is actually from the games, it's usually the first 'level one' armour that you find. So, not only are you exactly right that it symbolizes her starting to become a true wastelander, but it's awesome that you were able to pick that up so clearly from something that would normally be an easter egg for the fans. I think it's a great example of how excellently they adapted the material from the games into a story that non-fans can understand and enjoy.
"come on Vaulty, ass jerky don't make itself" this will probably go down as the most memorable line of the fallout season . for me another one is the Maldaver communist quote, but sessis hasn't gotten to that episode yet (as least in terms of youtube reactions released), so i wont spoil it by quoting it.
9:54 it actually does make sense! 😁 Firstly, Snip-Snip mentions that his Temporal Sensors are broken. Secondly, when he goes out to the guys to present Lucy, they tell him "get her ready right away for the next shipment". This means there are times Snip-Snip will get someone and then not process them and take their organs right away. If they're going to store you for awhile, you shouldn't be bleeding out lol. Also, he is a robot with robot logic; he wants them "mint condition" first.
I also think of it this way… the robot’s core programming was to tend to people’s needs. Its initial reaction would probably be to tend to her wound. Then you have the newer programming kicking in which is to harvest organs for its new owners.
To be fair, the guy of the Superdupermarket told the robot to prepare (Cut) Lucy after the finger thing, if the "delivery" wasn't so soon, Lucy would probably spend her days in one of those frideges.... But in mint condition 👍
My only advice dare to laugh on how ridicilous some situations are, this is Fallout. Dark, but funny situations too, survival but soothing music, this is it's vibe. Loved the reaction, thumbs up!

9:45 Because it operates on a order hierarchy I would guess, it has an override that says that is someone is injured it must tend to their wounds first.
wel in the case of the robot, it is a medical robot that was partly reprogrammed or something but it's original program still runs wich is to help heal people, that why it gave Lucy a new finger and then try to harvest her organs, 2 conflicting programs, thats why it's weird lol
Mr. Handy robots were domestic servants, not medical robots. The reason it reattaches her finger is because a hand with five fingers is worth more than a four fingered hand and a spare finger. Think of it like an auto shop getting a car that only has a busted headlight. It's easy to just swap in a spare headlight and now you have a full car ready for whatever you need. If you have to swap out a whole front end, you have a complete front end ready to go.
@@wulfsragarI mean, yes, Mr. Gutsy is the military version and Mr. Handy was the household version. Neither one was designed for medical purposes. Mr. Handy models can be adapted to perform a wide variety of tasks depending on their attachments, but those are aftermarket mods. I think it's a stretch to say it was having a programming conflict when there's a simpler explanation, especially when the show, which is very good at communicating, doesn't put anything on screen to suggest a programming conflict.
@@csb78nm Did you read the second comment I made? Yes, there are medical Mr. Handy units, but that doesn't mean that they're designed to do that. The basic chop shop reference still makes more sense than glitchy programming. I mean, if you're a fan of the games, tell me honestly; did Snip Snip sound and look like he was designed for surgery or did he seem like a generic, helpful Mr. Handy that got told to cut people up? Also, Curie is both a special case, and another example of modification.
I saw a documentary on the Philippines. One poor mother took a large cockroach and tied a string to it and gave it to her toddler to play with. She did this to distract the child from being hungry. In the FO games mutated radroaches are food to be cooked and sold (or eaten if you are desperate).
the Robot you saw is named Mr Handy man, the Household Robots that were in everyone's home these robots could be named from Codsworth the one you meet in the starting game of Fallout 4, and theres a lot more Robots out there in the Fallout Universe. but when the wasteland came, all the robots had went sentient or carried on their duties. forgetting of what had happened and probably thought of seeing people, but little to know what have actually happened. and some knew that their masters were Gone. some have re-programmed themselves to understand the world around them and to be able to speak and for the Ghouls, those people have succumbed to the Radiation around the Air, it then slowly turned them into those type of ghouls which lost control and now are like zombies, but more of killing anything in their way, and for the Ghoul people. they dont starve or get thirsty. there basically eating anything that's for Energy.
and theese robots often had much more complex duties than just household robots, there were medical and other variants, with differing tool and programs. there even were military versions with real weapons attached...

The reason the meat is dangling is back in the old days if you didn't have salt to preserve meat, you hung it up outside, typically on your wagon, as you traveled to air dry into jerky
you usually put some sort of cheesecloth or other cloth to keep insects out. also you hang meat to age it. of course the ghoul meat is not something flies go after anyway.
as soon as you have seen all 8 episodes i can start to ask if you noticed some hidden messages, couse there are A LOT of them and hints to other things too. BTW good choice of doing the preview in the intro, i already said all of this in the primere so you know what i think : )
You mostly find them in Skåne and Halland but they are slowly spreading as it gets warmer.. so I think there is a fair chance they will spread as far north as Stockholm within a decade or two.
