Even if he knew, the point was that Vault 31 was management - they were the ones who were supposed to be in charge of rebuilding. The other shelters (other than the experimental ones that were expected to fail, but provide information and data in doing so) were supposed to be the workers: once management woke up and started rebuilding, the inhabitants of the other vaults could be called on to do the actual heavy lifting. Shady Sands might have been built by Vault dwellers, but they weren't management. Basically, the very existence of the town showed that the managers weren't actually needed, and for that reason it needed to be destroyed. Can't have the workers getting too uppity and thinking they can run the world themselves.

Which makes it possible that Vault-Tec didn't actually start the Great War. Just because they were willing to (which shows how evil they were), doesn't mean they weren't beat to the punch. Also, Mr. House (the RobCo CEO in the meeting) was caught off guard on the exact timing of the war (something you find out in Fallout: New Vegas).

Daughter was at a birthday party with dad, and remember one of the parents made the comment that Cooper was doing bday parties for alimony money. At some point after listening in on the meeting, there was a divorce. We still don't know where the daughter is, but I assume Barb went into cryo without her girl, knowing Cooper was with her. Barb was a Company girl, she wasn't giving up her "good vault" spot. Seeing that Cooper also doesn't know where his family is, not just Barb but daughter as well, we're gonna be in for some shit come Season 2.

They said that in the first season too much stuff was going on and that wouldnt give the Deathclaw enough screen time. As it is such an iconic monster they wanted it to have more screen time and so put it in the 2nd season.

in the DLC there's a vault where the rich people transfered their brains into the robot bodies, (to become robobrains) so they can "live" through the apocalypse sort to speak

That last paragraph is so sad, but so true!

I think their original plan was to just completely eradicate everyone from the surface so that their people would be the only ones surviving. Once they found out that the bombs didn’t wipe everyone out, they moved on to clearing the world of it’s new factions.

@@haha-lj5sq Sure, but that's just one more point that didn't make sense. If they'd put even a moment's thought into it, they would have known that even the biggest, most thorough nuclear holocaust would still leave plenty of survivors. Even if it was just the people who had personal shelters, or who made it into sturdy subway systems, or those from rural communities that were too far away from anything important to be targeted. There was always going to be survivors on the surface to contend with. And unlike Bud's sunny prediction, time may be the ultimate weapon, but that doesn't mean it only works for him. Because the longer you wait, the more people there will be and the more adapted to the realities of the post-apocalypse they will be. His idea to simply wait for everyone to die out was never workable, because humans are simply too adaptable for that. His best case scenario is to HOPE that enough knowledge is lost that no one has the ability to manufacture dangerous technology, then to HOPE that he's waited long enough for all the pre-war tech that cold be a danger to his project has broken down by the time he opens his vaults. Even then, there would still be other humans and other societies to contend with, they would just be more technologically primitive.

@@rmartinson19 you make some great points but I think you’re conflating the entire thing with Bud. Bud only had oversight over 31, 32, and 33, aka the Bud’s Buds Program. But yeah you’re right. There would still be factionalism, just between the corporations.
