Hey JumpingBadger, I think you're the best person to talk to about this problem. I have a high ende pc. My monitor is 1440p with a refresh rate of 165hz. I have been playing fallout 3 for about 20 hours so far and really enjoying it. But the game runs poorly. It feels very choppy and my fps drops even more when inside buildings. I disabled V-sync in Nvidia control pannel and it seemed to help slightly, but there must be a way to get the game running at a high framerate and make it smooth. It's Fallout 3 G.O.T.Y. on Epic Games. Do you know any mods or solutions for this issue? Thanks in advance :D
It could be an issue with your hard drive unless you have an SSD. Fallout 3 is just poorly optimized for modern systems, I've never tried the epic games version of the game or know how it works but you could try this mod, www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/23542?tab=posts It seems to work well with epic games.
