As rare as it was this franchise was way before it's time, should have held out a few more years or got better game designers.

@@DevinHoyt17 okay. I guess you need to be more specific. because, yes, it's fair to think of game design as a broad category that has to do with the entire process of game development. But we're talking about different areas of video game development and someone says game design, I immediately think of things like level design, quest design, mechanics (obviously some issues in this category), interaction, etc, UI design (the way the ui is structured and displayed, etc). If someone were to say graphics I would think graphics, obviously. The issue was less so design of the graphical engine (as obsidian didn't design or develop it) as much as it was the datedness of the engine itself. As far as the world design/visual design (character and enemy concepts and visual art, etc.) I think it's actually very good. fidelity is the main issue regarding graphics, and animations is the main issue regarding mechanics. The system mechanics are mostly great. Colloquially design is refers to something that is part of every individual aspect of game development and thus too broad a category to be meaningful when used that way.

@@nathanreiber6819 dang, yeah I definitely need to be more specific but I didn't know it got that deep there's a lot more then I think that goes into a video game. The story or quest of fall out was great it's just if we got a dying light graphic engine thing it would have made fall out much more fun to play. I know that graphics were graphics back then but that's what I was getting at with the game was before it's time, if fall out series came out when say dead island came out or even dying light which we're the same creators of dead island I believe, the fall out series would have been a much bigger hit I think ..

wtf are you doing i finished it in 5,6 hours and i did not even try i was running around enjoying the game world

​@@user-xf3rx3tl5e For me, collecting every junk and exploring and clearing out every dungeon while in very hard difficulty, basically minmaxing as hell. I'm playing the DLCs rn, just finished The Pitt today, I got 264 hours in the current savegame. Haven't started Broken Steel, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta yet, I will probably make it to 300 hours.

@@user-yx2wn7ew9b I literally just bought it on steam and can't even start. Keeps crashing when your try to start a new game. No mods or anything.

This game came out in 2008 the graphics aren’t perfect. 😂
