How to get power armour training straight out of the vault in  

I haven't seen a straight answer for it, but can this be done at anytime, or purely the beginning of the game? No sidequests, no main quests, that type of thing.

@@thegageinator805 this can be done at any time or level you wish. You can have done most quest, no quests etc, It’s completely up to you.

Yeah that’s right, I always recommend to do Operation Anchorage as early as possible as it gives you so much good stuff

I just got my power armor today, but I’m using the enclave power armor not for the damage it could take, but I just like the look of it. It looks bad ass better looking than a brotherhood of steel Power armor

So when you complete Operation Anchorage, you are automatically given power armour training. There is no pop up telling you this, but you get awarded the perk and can use power armour form that moment on. Many people miss it. Thanks for watching

How do you not pay attention this much? The entire conversation after you leave the anchorage simulation is focused around you getting the training to wear the armor in the room, as well as the gear. You literally have to skip all conversations in order to miss this. If you skip all dialogue then why TF are you even playing? You obviously aren't experienced enough to remember what the dialogue says. Only idiots or long time players completely skip dialogue

Way longer than it needed to be, but I'm leaving it in full because of your keen eye for the details I've been playing the fallout series since I got it on my 386 back in the 90s. Since then, I've played fallout 3 in almost every conceivable way trying to get different results. I had played it over and over again long before ever buying the DLC extras. In nearly all cases, I never used power armor at all. So it is very likely that I saw the scene many years before and it slipped my mind until one of the rare occasions that I was messing around with power armor and noticed something different to me. But we are talking about a playthrough that happened almost a year ago and God only knows the circumstances that led me to this simple question (plus anecdote) because I certainly don't remember. But if I had to guess, I would be certain that it was not the first time doing operation anchorage, but probably the time I was experimenting with the ghoul who sends you to assassinate the 5 guys with the keys.... Also knowing how I always felt about doing the whole operation anchorage simulation.... I hated it and rushed through it trying to get past it to move on to something more enjoyable for me. So yeah, I most likely skipped the dialogue. I know, "how dare I?" Lol.But go on, please tell me more about how much smarter and more experienced you are in the world of video games, oh great one. I love seeing how you guys react to these silly little things. As if it matters so much to you how some stranger experiences something so miniscule thousands of miles away. Or maybe it's about the feeling of finally knowing something that another person did not know. Maybe that feeling is rare for you and you should seize it Kind of like a sip of water after spending all day working in the heat. But hey, I'm glad I was able to make you feel superior for a little while. Because I am terrible at playing video games and you're so much better at them. Even better at enjoying them as well as playing them! @@knifeman7638 the metal blaster is from the Pitt DLC. It’s from where you collect metal ingots. Turn in enough ingots and you’ll get it

@@knifeman7638 yeah definitely a fair few trogs. It’s a great weapon though. You can complete the DLC and then return later to get the ingots

@@Casianix there isn’t one garunteed spot he’s in because he roams the building but he’s usually in the A ring or the laboratory. You can find his bedroom, so could try wait an hour at a time there until he sleeps

Your power armour helmet? It’s a seperate piece but you’ll find one by carrying on with the main quest

You have to find the power armour on the citadel (or whilst exploring), you don’t get it during the training
