James, an excellent demonstration but...we need a factory tour! You obviously have a massive facility and based on this video I'm sure it's quite automated. I'd love to see more of it and how you put it all together. My factory is much smaller and requires too much "hands on" to get it producing. Thanks!

I know right. All these tutorials boil down to "build a big set of belts and stuff, then manually put everything in at the start of the redundant stuff" when you could just build the builder and connect it to storage.
DarkVoid Because you can later expand the setup to include sorters so you can just throw all the junk at the beginning of the line and the sorters will automatically put it in the right hopper.
@@arnekrug939 when I did ammo factory - auto extraction was done because I had all ingridients stocked in workbench and was always dropping everything into workbench and had no intension on manually scanning WB for junk to scrap. Nevertheless I used 'component extractor' from mod
i followed this to the second and my press still wont work it just keeps the items and does not press any ammo. i have selected .45 so iv only got two hoppers with fertilizer and steel. its not working and i have no idea why and cant find a way to make it work. very frustrating.
I'm really freaking confused, what's all the other stuff that was there before you started building the stuff in the video, I just want to be able to build a multi ammo factory but no one has a video explaining how to do it.
I tried that, I had gun nut 3, the damn device made .38 ammo instead of .45, the problem I see is the two ammo types have the same damn formula (according to the wiki). so what the hell am I really doing wrong? or is my game actually broken there?
i have everything set up like you do but for whatever reason when whatever ammo i'm making goes through the line, it only turns one of the tripwires on, and when the next one goes through, it turns the one that's on off, and the one that's off on. any idea why?
I had this issue, just deleting the trip wire and replacing it seemed to fix it. However, I don't think there is a need for two trip wires. I'm building a plant now and I'm going to try it with one.
video was great, really helped, the logic gates remind me of little big planet, BUT...why do you need the hoppers? can't you just put stuff into the press itself? I love this dlc, but everything about it feels redundant.
You will have to experiment with just adding the items into the ammo press. (I found it tended to overload and not produce anything). Basic reason personally for working with the hoppers was because it it allowed for me to turn the machine on, go work on other parts of that settlement build and then know there would be items produced when I came back in.
I'm running 15 ammo plants all at once. They feed directly into storage. Piece of cake, works well. That's not to say that the poster is wrong just saying to each their own! That's the beauty of building :)
is there way to seperate things things based on what you need, like if i throw a load of of junk into a hopper it sends it of into a machine n steel n fertilizer go one way n the rest goes another...
