"Myoot-fruit", like a concatenation of "mutated fruit". Also, I ended up building a very similar base at Red Rocket previously in my game, but I didn't have any doors (read: vulnerabilities) in the perimeter. Instead I used the sliding garage door as the only way in or out of the base. If under attack, just hit that red button on the wall next to it to slam it closed (did this right in front of a Gunner Sergeant pretty effectively), and the base is on lock-down, and invulnerable to infiltration.
fhhh Everyone can say "banana" however they want too. I fail to see your point. Correcting the way someone pronounces something is not the same thing as telling them how they MUST say it; only how they SHOULD.
Jester TheZombie The defensive perimeter is not the same thing as the TERRITORY perimeter... There's a brahmin trough outside the walls, but still inside the plenty-of-land-area in between the walls and the green construction boundaries. Haven't had a problem with them so far (and I have ALL trade routes going to Red Rocket, so there are always a few provisioners with brahmin passing through).
Max Sketchalot yeah i was going to all of them but i made came up with the stupid idea of putting a doghouse at every one, but your idea sounds a heck of a lot better and more timely
Lawson Hofer Also, some advice, make one place your main. I did it to Red Rocket Truck stop. Then clear your inv and go to each other settlement and take everything from their respective workbenches and transfer to (main). It's very efficient. Good luck finding your dog.
Max Sketchalot yeah i used to put all my followers at the red rocket while sanctuary the castle, and spectacle islands were my settlements i dont know why i started sending them elsewhere
this is actually an extremely original idea and design. I love it. And it does look awsome in the night. You could light up the red rocket logo too for added lightning candy.
Dude, I absolutely adore your base. It looks fantastic. You should be proud of your work. Hopefully I can find a settlement that I can enjoy more than Sanctuary Hills enough to even be a quarter half as good as yours. :)
+Jay's Man Cave I dragged the man to the river, and just shot the living shit out of the dog with a rocket launcher to propel the corpse away from the road. Much to my chagrin however, the corpses just respawn if you remove them, its like they're meant to be there for eternity, like decoration or some shit like that.
Nice base. Good job for only your second video too. That's the first time I've seen the Vault Tek power armor and it looks like an Ultramarine from Warhammer 40K.
oh god your video has helped me make my base so so much and im not even done it yet, the stair placements were a god send my settlers kept glitching on mine and wouldnt go into buildings, spent a whole night trying to figure it out then you came along, thank you so much
One of the things that bugs we will base building is that enemies can just spawn right in the middle of your base (especially with sanctuary) , so it means you have to put turrets throughout your base and making a wall almost pointless, but still somewhat useful when it comes to trapping melee enemies (I had a deathclaw attack one of my settlements and it got stuck on a wire fence)
+Joe Wilson-Palmer You get raided in Sanctuary? How! I've had the game since launch and Sanctuary's never been raided. And have I seen you somewhere before? You seem really familiar...
This is very inspiring, as soon as my graphics card comes in through the mail I want to begin working on my Red Rocket base. You should make more videos. Totally subscribing!
I've been watching a bunch of videos like this because I want to build up my red rocket base, and this one is my favorite so far. Definitely a lot of things I'll use on mine. Thanks!
+MrTmbjr It goes Raider, t45, t51, t60, X-01. I'm level 70 and I still use T-45 sets more than anything else (not that I ever really need it for anything at this point) because they only take steel to repair which is probably the easiest thing to find in the game. Take an X-01 suit out for 5 minutes and there goes like 30 aluminum and a bunch of other important resources to fix it.
yes fallout 4 should be multiplayer, not an mmorpg like eso, but co op. if you have friends that play, invite them on missions, doing this would bring out harder enemies but equals to better loot doing co op
Even though you didn’t use any dlcs to make it look proper (The toilets) but you still did an amazing job, this is more inspiration for my own, your a very creative person keep up the good work!
Thanks for sharing this... as someone who is completely lost and doesn't know how to work with the settlement building system... seeing ur settlement gave me ideas.
what many People dont do is.....you can drop some trash and put it on tables etc......coffee pot or a ball for the dog...broom...Little Things that make it even a bit cooler.nice base btw.
Just a small tip for anyone that's building a nice base, all of your settlers will go to the bar (the food and drink store) at the end of the day and get drinks, have food, etc. So taking the time to make the bar area of your base actually look legit goes a long way because you'll see everyone hanging out, having drinks and talking at night before they go to bed.
Nice base. No en suite in the master bedroom though?! You wait till you're older and have to shuffle past settlers and super mutant invaders two or three times a night to take a leak.
4:50 Looks kinda like a pirate ship. Reminds me of the ships from Assassins Creed: Black Flag. Excellent job and I'm glad you're enjoying the game. I just started playing the game myself, going for a Max Charisma build.
lol thanks to your comment i just realised my mistake thanks laptop accidently got an l on it its really not relaly and pirate ship nah not really unless the other country's had a ship like that but i doubt it it looks more like a old wooden ship you see in the era were ships slowly went from wind and wood to metal and engines its more like one of those old tug boats then a pirate era ship but i do kinda see what you mean
Goofs, Gafs and Laughs How is his set of T-51 the weakest in his "personal collection" if he has a set of Raider sitting right across from it? How is it the weakest if he has a set of T-45 right next to it? Which is the second weakest armor in the game. If it was the weakest armor in his collection which it isn't he would've said it was "The weakest armor in his collection"....
+MrPickles Gaming Because anyone can run off with your power armor when it's powered up. Make it a habit to pull out the core after exiting the suit. I lost a set on my first play through like that.
Very nicely done! Came together very well! I didn't know that Preston and Sturges and gang would show up at any other place other than Sanctuary. Preston drives me nuts and Marcy is RUDE! LOL
Tip; take the power cores out when you're not using a power armor set. Sometimes the settlers just uses them when attacked and dump them everywhere. Nice base and video man, congrats!
I get a little jealous when I see someone who comes up with something like this. It really takes time, patience and creativity to makes things like this.
fallout games aren't meant to be played online...takes all the emersion out of the post-apocalypse...the wasteland isin't supposed to be filled with people...that's why they call it a wasteland!
alot of people who are playing fallout 4 never played any of the other games...incase you havin't...new vegas had a huge population in the game and imo, it took away from the feel of isolation you're supposed to experience in a post-apocalyptic setting...makes for a more immersive, narative experience. no offence, but if you want to play online, there are tons of great options out there for you...and perhaps fallout isin't your game...
Some people play as women because some of them know there's this perk for the men "lady killer" and when men shoot girl hostile they take lots of damage, But since most enemy's are men they use the women character.
Red Rocket Truck Stop may be more cramped than the other building sites, but it has the most visual promise. Made it my home base as well. It can be made to look better than the designer made settlements, in my humble opinion. You did a fantastic job, obviously.
You can use a glitch where you drop weapons on the ground in the settlement, open up the workshop and store the weapons in the workshop and it will reduce the size
the video description links to another video that explains how to perform the size glitch. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JuZ1PaTudEw.html
thires a glich that you can do. also the statue is pre-war so it cant be of a minuteman, and you should not ignore atacts as thires a 50% chance youll lose if your not thire
I've used Red Rocket as personal home, really. Fitting crates and other stuff in the workshop area for crafty goodness and making the rest into a camp of sorts. This video has given me the urge to expand on this, though...
+Necaradan666 True but it still isn't the weakest in game, nor is it the first one you will come across in Fallout 4 itself..... unless you sequence break HARD.
+Joseph Bailey Once you start going past the max limit things will start to slow down, especially if you have alot of lights and other dynamic things, so they put it there for quality control. (its super easy to go past anyway so its more of a thing just to cover their asses since people always complain about how glitchy and laggy bethesda games can be)
I really enjoy the design of your base, especially the living quarters. The overall ship feeling definitely hit and the balcony was really cool. How'd you get those potted plants? Your room looks great too. It's really cool to see people actually thinking out their designs instead of just plonking things down wherever. Even the floorplan of your fences follows the overall ship shape. Great job dude!
Epic Settlement. I just use Red Rocket as a small nexus point where most of my supply routes converge on, but after seeing this, I'm gonna rethink its design and purpose.
I agree 100% with what you stated in your intro regarding no online gaming for F04. It's kinda pointless not being able to visit other player bases and share ideas, or heck even help defend an attack.
Very pretty! I use the settlement supply expansion mod too since the default supply limit makes settlements pretty much useless, it caps out so fast you can't build anything serious. I also use the console to give myself wood since the game has a serious lack of wood. I already scavenged ALL the wood from ALL the settlements, and buying from vendors is useless since they sell like 100 max and I usually use at least 8k on a single build.
I think this build was awesome, and honestly i wish I would have been able to see the process of you building it because it is such a large structure and it intrigues me how exactly you accomplished this build.
