Rufus stoned And you know what? The Slog is the only settlement beside Finch that is EVEN CLOSER to the Forged. Seriously, it's to the point where you have to armed your provisionner to the teeth, because everytime the Forged respawn, they will attack the poor sod you send alone on the roads with a brahmin

To be fair the Finchs probably were there before the others. And their chances of surviving looking for a new place aren't really better. On the other hand the neighbors make for a good sorce of weapons and armors, chems and various meats, for an heavily armed enterprising fella.

The overpass there and at the robot farm Greygarden are both very high up places to build with great views of the wasteland :)

norespawns I used your guard post idea at nuka world red rocket and made it into a trading stand you should build it at finch farm I also used the pilar glitch with a rug right next to it and you can put a cash register on the trading stand

norespawns you can actually turn the elevator tower into a normal tower with stairs.. that's what I did and putting stores on the bridge such as a bar actually makes them more likely to come up there then just putting on a bed. I built a raider slave camp there to give my raiders their food. Test it out using warehouses pieces if you're worried about them just spawning there.

he wasn't planning on having someone use it but you can make them use specific posts. just build three assign the guard build the next three assign so on. or you can actually assign one then go back and assign someone else to just one so they don't leave that exact post. you just got to mess with it

That's a hard location. Can't build a water supply, can't build a food supply... you can populate it with bots, at best. I'm making it into a factory where I can produce rare ammunition and assign a lot of bots to junk collection. I suppose you could also have shops go generate caps, but it's just a pain to work there.

I noticed that the 2-shot enhanced weapons have an accuracy penalty if you compare the stats with another different effect. I Don't know whether it's negligible but because of it, I stick to explosive enhancements. My guns: Maud - Explosive Minigun Kylie - Kiloton Radium Rifle Madeleine - Rapid Quad Missile Launcher Deidra - Deliverer modded with reflex sight & explosive.

Nice, but I have worse: also after an hour of play, I just cleared out Outpost Zimonja and I was on the overpass right next to it, looking for tires (I just needed 3 rubbers for my settlers beacon). As I walk over the side to drop the tire, I walked to much and fell to my death. All because of a tire.

It's not at all hard to hit save. lol

Very true. Settlement building is a pain in the ass in survival mode.. I swear that guy needs something drink every 5 seconds!

I've done a shrine and a whole settlement. I'm not doing any more CoA stuff now.

they are quite fun to add churches at settlements especially with the rad traps and firework rad mortar and no roof

Gunners like to control the high ground. Finch Farm, Grey Garden, and Kingsport Lighthouse all seem like good spots.

greygarden probably really is perfect, because the original robots never leave their predifined area (even if you get rid off the plants) and wouldn't end up on the overpass after fast travelling there (unlike the members of the finch family) - also they don't sleep, eat and drink. (the only downside is that they lower your average happiness, because they're capped at 50.) also you could make all your gunners (and maybe 1-2 assaultrons if you have the automatron DLC) guards on the overpass and none of them would have to do such dirty work like farming, because the robots already do that for them. this allows you to completly separate the areas for civilians (the robots) and the mercenaries (gunners) - as if they don't really belong to each other.

Sunshine Tidings. Already has a central courtyard area to use for training, install the officers and admin people in the ruined cabins, put the barracks in the old kitchen, and the Gunner post on the overpass to the southwest gives 'em recon. Plus it's easy to wall off--junk-wall the sections between the cabins--and has lots of space to grow crops for rations.
