"This is the Trash Panda, and in today's dumpster dive..." This is the first time I've seen your channel, and that is one of the best intro quips I've ever heard.
Good guide. Flashbacks of doing all these when backpacks 1st came out 😭 you had to do them if you wanted 1 back then, you didn't get the small one for free then. Archery badge is also quite easy to do 👍 grocers bag has been the best for me personally (vats sneak commando build) 2pts in strength for 1 travelling pharmacy and 1 bandolier with that bag has been the ticket for me for since they 1st came out. Best of luck with the badges peeps 🤘
Hey man, I just found your channel, and I just started playing Fallout, and it is very helpful! Thank you for it, and continue to keep it up! Can't wait to see more!
I’ve come here to let you know that Stimpak Diffusers will no longer be a problem to acquire in the newest major update on February 28th You just gotta farm the mutated events now and it’s recipe is in the drop list. You won’t have to farm Project Paradise to obtain it anymore Also people who own fallout 1st will give bonuses to those who don’t with a new type of gift box. My source is Fallout Builds
@@smirkingspyFO76 I've seen some of those buffs. Haven't tested anything myself, but it looks like it's going to be fun to try some of the new stuff out.
My heart dropped a little when it was mentioned in the video that I had to get lucky with the three animals staying alive in the paradise event. Barely seem to see anyone even get all three to lv 2 sometime. Good to see it'll be in a different loot pool. Thanks for the info
@@masonviewegh5770 I just unlocked it doing project paradise as well. My advice is to run Friendly Fire to keep the animals alive since using a flamer heals them
If you're not afraid to battle many scorched, there is a plan for a backpack in the Overseer's Cache at Morgantown Airport. You have to make your way all the way through to the rather sad NPC, Dontrelle Haines. The cache is right next to his work station. He's behind a locked door with a grid. It needs a key to open it. Turn left at the grid door and find the downed responder. He has the key.
I'm sorry if this was mentioned in the video and I just didn't see it, but there's always a guaranteed backpack recipe at the airport where the responders were setup, it's one of the overseer caches. You can get it right after character creation just by going there. I'm unsure if that's the same kind of backpack, but it's nice either way. Still good to do the quest for the mods tho.
that's the small standard backpack and holds half the carry capacity of the normal one. It's a great option because you can still use grocer and chemist mods on it, but you have to go through this quest to get the standard backpack and the other mods (unless someone else buys the other mods for you with badges).
Don't know if guaranteed Took a hiatus from the game (unintended, mind you), came back and noticed packs were a thing. Found the airport tip just today, checked and the cache was empty
Sigh those challenges seem like a pain in the ass. But I'm a hoarder and I am always, always overloaded. Gonna look into these tadpole nonsense tomorrow.
For the codebreaker badge all you have to do is be on "I am death" mission. When you work your way through there's so many different levels locks. Just have Hacking/lockpick perked up
Don't kill any of the sting wings in and around the scout masters cabin and don't wear any armor over your scout uniform or you will ruin the quest of bravery. This is by far, the hardest part of the quest: having a very long conversation with the scout master while you avoid getting attacked by 3 or more sting wings in the same building as the scout master. I suggest a triple stacked Dodgy card used in your agility before starting your conversation with the scout master.
you should be able to kill things in the cabin if they're giving you trouble. The armor shouldn't make a difference either. You don't need to wear the scout uniform for any of the quests either. I was just doing that for the fun of it.
The biggest turn off of this game is the insane distance between objectives. I am frugal with my caps and most of the time I'm over encumbered because I scavenge literally everything everywhere always! Even with my small back pack I am weighed down with 300-500lbs of stuff. I don't leave anything except spoilables behind and even sometimes I pick up a bunch for fertilizer.
It can be a pain for sure. I feel ya on that. I try to use either friends or public teams to try and taxi around for free. In addition, I ofter travel to free places like the whitesprings resort or crater to get a free jump and then travel to the location i need to go to from there.
@@thetrashpanda6 I am trying g to get some of those free places opened up. Utilizing as many public teams as possible. Still most times I can't fast travel anyway due to the 70 metric tons of crap I always seem to have on me even after scraping the junk. I am a looters to the core nothing gets left behind. I might need that sometime soon like never.
@@eyespyyourspy1328 might be a long shot, but if you have the ability to create a second account or turn one of your characters into a mule then you can go into a private world and dump all your stuff onto that toon.
@@thetrashpanda6 I thought about that, but I'm not very well versed in making multiple accounts of anything so I just stick it out in the turd fields and grind my ever loving rear off. Eventually I make it to my camp or a bench where I can relieve my weight. The biggest inconvenience is when I want to join a challenge group and I have too much stuff to simply abandon. Then when I am empty and ready to get that extra xp team is disband or I get kicked. Would love to be able to take full advantage of this double xp doing missions and challenges while I can. Looks like I will be lucky to hit level 50 before the double xp event ends. But I will keep trying to join those Wes Tek events any time I can
@@eyespyyourspy1328 there you go. Once you get above 50 and get the legendary perk cards it gets easier because you can slot the weight reduction cards in addition to the damage and damage mitigation cards.
I try talking to the robot for stings and things quest but he just keeps repeating “I need those insect parts to make the repellent” and he doesn’t give me the quest
I do not right now. However, it is very similar to FEMOS's build. Here is the link for a good video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VRTcrCeIw7Y.html
As a single player why do all that its very very time consuming and there still bugs when you do complete them just get power armor the one with the extra 100 carry weight and your done
It will just give you a small standard lvl 1 backpack as you exit the vault. It was added with the Nuclear Winter update. You can also get the plan for it in the overseer's cache at Morgantown Airport.
between the back pack unyielding SSA and a few card's My carry weight is 450 with out food perks and with another card i don't need to carry food or water and its a cure all when used
If you go to Skippy in the whitesprings resort and go through some of his dialog then he will give you a broken prosnap camera that you can repair at a tinker's workbench. You will also learn the plan to craft film when you do this. Alternatively, you can start the quest "Bucket List" and you can get it from there. Here is the link for you to do that. fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Bucket_List
correct. the one you get out of the vault is level 1. if you craft it at max level then it is 30 lbs. If you need the plan you can get it in the overseer's cache in the morgantown airport.
@@thetrashpanda6 Appreciate it but I already have the large backpack and I just unlocked the extra carry weight mod last night! Sorry if I missed it, but did you mention how people on the possum grind should do Camp Fire Tales whenever they see it? You have a shot at getting a possum badge every time you do that event. I got one or two that way and it definitely helped!
The mods arent worth the loss of carry weight in my opinion. I think they patched the energy and radiation gains with the higher capacity mod.. the backpack mods food reduction is good so you dont have to waste a perk card on it
it was added in the nuclear winter update I believe. if you don't have the small standard backpack and you want it then you can get the plan for it in the overseer's cache in the morgantown airport.
@thetrashpanda6 I'm new to fallout. 76 being the first I've really gotten into and it's a lot to figure out. Took a while just to figure out how to work the bullet swap once I finally got one at my camp. Info is appreciated
I used to play on Xbox, now I’m on pc and I just recently got the game and started playing again. Fucking forgot how annoying all the possum badges are. I’ve got 7 completed so far, and haven’t gotten a single one to drop from stings&things or the clean-up daily or campfire tales.
What do I do with mods I don’t want? Also is it worth to keep low level power armour or recycle it with higher levels? I have so much armour just sitting one star and two star
no real reason to keep power armor that's below level 45-50. I scrip on 5 toons to try and keep the amount of trash weapons down while still getting scrip from them. The main mods you need to hold onto are the enclave mods. Most others you are safe to trash.
@@thetrashpanda6 okay cool cause after starting out I can only break down a few legendary a day. And my stash was building up waiting for the next. I hate I can scrap one or two star to get a mod. It feels almost a waste to get a few scripts for a weapon idk. My friend told me to wait until tomorrow
Hey maybe somebody here can help me out. If you buy one of these mods is it something you can only use once? Or can you craft it after you buy it? Or would you have to somehow remove the mod to equip a different one and it would save it?
That is a gauss rifle. The legendary effects on that one in particular are anti-armor / 50% more crit dmg / 90% reduced weight. It's a very nice gun that I was fortunate enough to roll myself.
These are all the places you can find the plan to craft the weapon: The Whitespring bunker - Sold in the military wing command center. Watoga Station - Sold by the vendor bot. Abandoned mine shaft 4 - On the back shelf in the small shed. Watoga Underground - In Silo 4, in a workstation, on a middle shelf, on a rectangular crate. Randomly awarded by events/quests in the Cranberry Bog. Dropped by deathclaws. Dropped by scorchbeasts.
Is there any way of getting any flair blueprints? (Not one of the current season) I heard there are some related rewards during some events but I don't know which ones rewards with flairs, did someone know something about it?
make sure the top right of your screen when looking through your camera lens should identify what you're looking at. you have to move around a bit sometimes to get it to pick it up.
I don't believe you are able to do that, but in all honesty, the backpack you get from there is just shy of useless as it only gives you 5 extra carry weight. I would just go ahead and do the tadpole quest to get the standard backpack instead of the small one.
If you want to get the small standard backpack plan though, you can find it in the overseer's cache at Morgantown Airport and then craft it at a higher level than the level 1 backpack you would get when you exit the vault.
Thanks! Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I never said they were trash. I said they were "junk items" because that's the category they fall under, and the tab in your pip boy you can find them in. I encouraged people to save these items instead of scrapping them because, as you said, they can be used for other things such as follow on dailies.
If you go to the morgantown airport ini the overseer's cache and get the plan for the small backpack. Then you can craft it at a higher level and put the mods on it. Won't hold as much but the mods still work.
I think it was added with the nuclear winter update. You can get the plan for the small standard backpack at the morgantown airport in the overseer's cache.
you do since the Nuclear Winter update I believe. You can get the plan to craft that backpack at the Overseer's cache in the morgantown airport. It holds half of what the standard backpack holds so at level 50 it has a carry capacity of 30, but you can still put mods on it.
Truly a shame that backpack effects doesn't apply in PA. I use my PA for extra carry weight allowing me too carry over 480 pounds. If would be over 600 if packpack effects worked In PA.....
@@thetrashpanda6 Yeah I'm just working with what I got right now. Excavator power armor with calibrated shocks and servos for the chest for extra carry weight.
@@LoudNoisesScareMe excavator is great but if I'm going for more carry weight then I typically like going with union. It's a great set that gives you 75 extra carry weight plus poison resist and higher overall resistances than excavator does. Excavator def lets you carry more but I like the trade off for the extra resistances.
I'll never forget the order of the tadpol quest. I joined the unofficial FO76 discord server to try and find someone to do it with but got banned pretty much immediately. Not because I broke any rules But because I have a history with one of the old staff members and he didn't like me. (I'd forgotten who he was until I appealed the ban) I'm still banned to this day lol. So anyway that was how I unlocked backpacks back when they came out
Its easy to get a revive at boss or other events. Somebody is always going down and you can stim them. The game rewards you for doing that normally, so bonus if you're trying for the backpack. I actually cleared that requirement second without thinking about it. PSA: Revive other players when you can. It always brings good things, some not expected.
It can be a real pain for sure. If you have a friend to help you out with the hacker part of the codebreaker badge and the revive part of the swimmer challenge then you can get the whole thing done in about an hour.
Yeah, it's a lot of work. If you don't want to go through all that then you can get the small backpack plan from the overseer's cache at the morgantown airport.
You can purchase the mods from player vendors if they decide to sell them after grinding out additional possum badges. You cannot purchase the backpack plan though. That is automatically learned when you complete the quest.
Bethesda is wack for making us grind this hard for something so stupid. Hours of boring Boy Scout lore and activities. Exactly what I want to do in a game about a nuclear wasteland. I nearly lost my mind when I had to take those tests for each challenge too. I had literally just spent all day doing training videos at work and had to continue even when I got home to play my game 😂😭
Nah - just revive someone in an event. Helps with this, gets you XP, works toward an achievement and also Atoms reward. The only only I can see being an issue for pure soloists is the Swimming badge, as it requires reviving someone in water. But you might be able to get lucky at event with a water area
Strangleheart event? Plenty of water in those marshes. At any rate, quit being antisocial and team up, already. Teammates can share a perk depending on their Charisma level, and everybody on the team enjoys the benefits of that perk, whether you have it unlocked or not. You also get multipliers for xp or perk points, depending on what the team goal is. Also, if you want to be somewhere specific and there aren’t any free fast travels around the area, you can fast travel to a teammate’s nearby C.A.M.P. for free. AND! There are certain perks and mutations that only work when you’re on a team. So, there’s literally no reason to fly solo.
@@thisiswhatilike54 you’ve misunderstood. i always play with a casual team, join daily ops teams when appropriate, etc. can be a pita to coordinate an actual activity where someone takes time out for a badge quest just for me. so anything i can do on my own in terms of objectives is preferred. id rather save coordinated team time for boss events or expeditions than clearing possum badges. might be different if you’ve got a group that needs to clear them
it's a lot of work for sure. You can get the small backpack plan from the overseer's cache in the morgantown airport if you want to craft that at a higher level.
If you don't want to go through all that then you can go to the morgantown airport overseer's cache and get the plan for the small backpack. You can then craft that at level 50 and it will increase your carry weight by 30. you can also put mods on it.
