Hi, I don't do daily ops.. hate them. But I do expeditions. I would suggest starting, not from your camp, but from Nuka World on Tour or Whitesprings refuge, because even if you're overencumbered, these locations have legendary scrip machines and vendors you can unburden yourself with. They also have stash boxes, scrap boxes (if you have 1st), ammo boxes (1st), and workbenches.
Big tip for newer players who aren't geared but still want to solo this. Do Beast of Burden event every time it pops. It has a chance to drop Holy Fire legendary weapon. You can effortlessly solo every daily op or expedition with just this weapon alone. It's also usually sold for around 2-3000 caps in player camps so it's fairly cheap.
Realistically speaking most people won't get a full build sorted until about level 75 or so, unless they're using something specific. But after level 50 things should start to come together.
@@justanother240 I've bought a total of 4 from player vendors and I have never seen it higher than 6k. I also play PC. I'd say 10k is a overpay for the base Holy Fire.
Vampire pepper shaker/plasma caster and vampire shredder mini =) Melts everything and everyone in ops and expeditions. Thanks fully, once you purge the godawful "bloodied commando" meta from your mind - game becomes so much more fun.
Once I can solo Daily Ops on a character, I'll generally run it from a casual team. If others join me, great, it's a little easier, if not, I'm still getting xp, and I don't need to be group leader to do it.
Yes, run it as Casual to get added XP from each kill, then change the team goal to Expeditions just before you finish it, to get the added XP from the expedition, too.
@@jeffbarnesyout that is correct...for expeditions. This is about Daily Ops, which you can still technically do, but the difference is, an expedition ends when you talk to Lenox to leave, while a Daily Op ends when you kill the boss. Generally, I find it too much of a hassle doing in DOps cause you're still under fire and likely to get killed.
Very nice summary of daily ops. Some stuff I wish I knew earlier. Wasting a lot of time wandering around looking for stragglers in large venues really. Sucks u the time and really sucks. Thanks Darth.
Glad to help! It can be a drag hunting down enemies on the large spots. It's meant to be done as a group which I would expect makes a lot of difference.
I might have to get on that. There's been a bunch of changes since they were introduced. They're much like Ops though in that they're somewhat group oriented but very doable solo.
they're meant for teams but very doable solo and sometimes even as fast as team-play. you don't need much to solo expeditions. just avoid non-essential enemies and get done with objectives ASAP. high mobility builds work best. i've had no issues running expeditions solo on a new character straight out the vault as long as it has decent alt-gear.
I hate daily ops. I am a stealth bloody rifle build. I was hoping there would be some info on how to better complete these solo without needing to completely rebuild my character. The mob mutations make it 1000% unfun. everything sees me from across the map, and instantly kills me because they have armor piercing rounds. The other options aren't any better. Oh, I have to kill things with melee? and they're constantly healing? and they explode in my face? Got it, I've never done a melee build and have zero desire to spend 50 levels getting new perk cards for a new loadout on something i HATE doing. How about getting shot with freezing bullets that slow you down, while the enemies swarm you. I don't play in groups, I play solo. This game is an absolute mess when playing in random groups. Everyone is just off doing their own thing anyway. Looks like WestTek will continue to be my home, along with the random 50+ events and expeditions. I understand making it "challenging" but forcing players to build a specific spec just to be able to play a portion of the game is pretty messed up. There is literally one daily Op that I can complete, and it takes like 20 minutes to do. I really hope they change the daily ops. I'm a veteran player with full secret service gear and level 750 and I believe they are way to hard and force certain playstyles that people don't want to play. I hate melee. Rant over.
You made a glass canon build that is only good for certain situations, and now you complain about survivability? There's a reason Power Armor is considered the pinnacle of warfighting armor in the Fallout series.
I like expedition but I feel like daily ops drops more ammunition for some reason I could be wrong..I went in with a plasma rifle only had 175 in ammo came out with with 700
Can we mention that deadly armor piercing gets used way to much in daily ops it really sucks when it’s also paired with enemies who drop toxic hazards or explosions on dead just makes fight enemies really annoying
Can I ask a question? Why are none of the RU-vidrs grilling Bethesda on the Union Power Armor problem? This has been almost a year now and we have purchased the plans but can't build it. This is total bullshit. I'm tired of grinding for shit in this game only to have Bethesda to take it away. They took legacies, they took the Union. They nerfed the cremator. There still some beer steins we have learned and can't craft. I'm so tired of this shit and no one is putting Bethesda in the hot seat. This game is your bread and butter. You need to start looking out for the fans. This goes out to all RU-vidrs with fallout76 content
and this extends past the items to the core playability. on ps5, the game crashes literally two to five times an hour. i can’t believe people don’t talk about that, and ive even heard mr westek say it’s a good game, so it’s worth a few crashes. i feel like im on an episode of the black mirror where im the crazy one
@@aseroxd It has nothing to do with missing out, it's literally broken. It's supposed to be sold/craftable but isn't. thankfully it seems to be fixed or at least is going to be fixed once Skyline Valley gets released or sooner.
@@aseroxdI am always amazed how people are so OK with, and even go as far as to defend, defective products. Like, are you so upset at someone's criticism of the game that you're blinded to it's issues?
I made a video just last week on my loadout. It should be pretty easy to find. 😎 For ammo, yes, I just farm the materials and craft it. Lead and steel are easy enough to come by if you need those, especially in the endgame where you have plenty of caps to buy it with. Lead can also be mined from Lucky Hole Mine with excavator power armour and processed at a chemistry bench with acid. Gunpowder just requires acid and cloth. Acid is the harder one of those to get but the workshop at hemlock holes has a bunch of nodes. You can also tag acid for search in the junk section of your PipBoy, that way you can just pick up any you come across in the world too. Fusion cores I get from events, Ops and expeditions, so after that I just need Flux. That's a bit more of a procedure to craft but the ultracite fusion cores I use in the laser do drop contextually as well which helps to offset things.
Does the content change when in a group? Like if i join a daily ops group, does it spawn more enemies based on how many are in the group? Will I be screwing over the group if I join at lvl 50?
I'm not 100% on this... But I think you would get extra enemies spawning. I don't think you'd be causing issues for a group though; firstly because 50+ is the intended level anyway and secondly because of the game's level scaling - the effective difficulty will shift for each player based on their level so that your challenge/experience will be on par with everyone else's.
hELP, I've done 2 daily op as apart of my weekly changes.. Both times never came up as completed??? Bothe times did the decryted daily ... finished them both in 18min solo.. Is game bugged or me doing something wrong ??ta
The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that you might be using the map to exit, rather than the exit option at the end? Otherwise something weird is going on. In that case the first think I'd try is a different server.
No one does them. Im lvl 117 and almost never see teams for it. It's awful for ammo (at least with the current resilient alien mission) BUT it's the only way to get a symptomatic😢😢
I suspect the reason you're not seeing many people do them is because its so easy to solo. With the short completion time most people will just dive in solo and knock it out quickly. The situational ammo drops really depend on what you're using. If its something with high ammo use, like a minigun it's not great, but if you're running something single shot, you can do a few ops and be good for ages. There's a ton of go0od plans in there too, but the symptomatic is definitely one of the best.
As far as I'm aware they drop from daily ops. The reward pool is fairly large in there though so it might take a while. On the plus side a lot of those other plans are pretty awesome too.
Have a look at Regs' inventory at Vault 79. That's where it was available in the past and where I picked it up. I'm not sure of that will have changed or not but it's worth a look.
Their okay just need a rewards drop buff.. it sucks when you get elder and don’t get the reward chance drop. Otherwise is great fast 8min dungeon if your good to decent
Sorta, kinda, not really. 😂 Bethesda set me and a few others up with Fallout 1st, but because of the way that was implemented a year's worth of Atoms arrived all at once.
@@DarthXionGames do you have a video up of this build? I currently finished completely building a bloody commando build and want to start working on a secondary heavy weapon + power armor + full health build
Decryption almost demands Berry Mentats. It helps immensely. Upload, is just ammo farm the first run... sit just outside of the secure area bubble and farm ammo. Rinse and restart for ezpz 6-7min runs. Also, vampires is so helpful here, in either one.
This was super helpful. I have been playing for about 18 months and have avoided Daily Ops. I've only done it once and had no clue what I was doing and was dying all the time. I am now over lvl 300 so I might try to solo it slowing till I learn the layout. Thanks for all the tips.
Don't you have to do it earlier than level 300 to get decent weapons buffs? I feel like my weapons and armor suck for my level 47 guy and I felt like legendary weapon buffs were the answer.
If you're after decent legendary gear, you just need to be level 50+ to get the top tier of the base item. After that I'd head for the legendary crafting system to get the best bonuses you can. I've got a guide on that system too if you want to dive into it. Most people's builds will still need some work up until at least level 75 usually when it comes to getting gear and sorting out their perks.
@@kevinmach730 The higher level you are the better chance of having better equipment and because you will have learned more plans and collected more legendary pieces as well as being able to roll legendary weps and armor to get what you want. I have a set of overeaters secret service armor and a vamp wep and an anti-armor wep. I also have Holy Fire for my heavy build which is what I use to run dailys. I did a bunch over the weekend with no issues following Darths advice.
