If there was a way to give a thumbs up or a like to folks bases you'd get alot! You'd definitely get mine awesome work looks great! Thank you for sharing!
OMG this is so annoying the build is great but where the barn roof cap thing is , the little piece that is a triangle to hide the rest of the wall that isn’t covered won’t snap in place
If you mean the railings inside the house, that particular mechanic is broken at the minute. They'll snap to foundations but not upper floors. It's due to be fixed in an upcoming patch.
It depends on the generator tbh. As a rule I'd build a specific place for them. That tends to work best with the Fusion core generator. The windmills work fairly well on their own, but you han usse foundations and fences to build structures up around them too. The smaller ones can be hidden fairly well if you don't mind having a few. I'd keep an eye out for the small Vault Tec one on the Atomic Shop as that's silent too. The solar panels that drop from Daily Ops are a good bet too: low output but they blend in well.
What I love is finding unmarked locations you can’t replicate, like the the two sorta underground locations in the mire to make a bunker, or make a bunker under a bridge, and make your camp completely unique. It can take a lot of work and glitching to make it look good, but it will look great.
You're an absolute gem. I love Minecraft, and this is what i imagine doing when im not grinding levels. Seeing the pieces built, torn apart, and rebuilt + the commentary gives much more insight, and makes my ideas much more tangible rather than piecing it in my head. Cheers! You've earned a subscribe :-D
I've played this game on and off since it came out, and this is the first time I learned how to place the posts on the corners using the floors. Thanks! I love your design philosophy and your builds, old and new. Keep killing it, Darth!
Taking a break from the level grind to build after being inspired by your videos, holy moly. Reminds me of the time I've spent watching YT videos to get better at painting lol
17:45 What I personally like to do when designing kitchens is have the L shaped chemistry table be on the left side of the cooking stove as it has a sink and, gameplay-wise, makes it easy to switch from cooking to crafting. Having them both in front of the window also allows you to scrap junk without entering the building which also makes you able to enter the house without going through the door if you're just as lazy as I am.
I used to use the chemistry station that way, but as we have proper sinks available now they make more sense in a kitchen than all the chemistry equipment. I don't mind entering the house personally. It's more immersive to me, and after all, why build it if you're not going to use it?
I thought that you would have hundreds of thousands of followers right now! You are doing amazing man, please keep it up. Thank you! This also helped a lot :DD
For the piece at 4:56 a lot of the time it will make u remove the wall and the top end roof for it to snap as it snaps off the bottom of the wall not the top
You definitely deserve more subscribers. You’re such a mellow person I loved this video and look forward to watching more videos by you. You my friend have earned a sub. Cheers, and have a good day.
I really love the level of creativity, technical expertise and design finesse you bring to your building projects. I just started playing Fallout 76. I really love the world. Your building videos continue to explore really inspiring ideas as they come up in my queue. Thanks for taking the time to put all of these together!!! I really appreciate having them as a reference.
3 years later this holds up so well… and I have watched over 30 videos, trying to find a great looking build using somewhat basic materials, until settling on this one 🙂↕️
Ever thought to make a faction themed camp? Like, a responders theme camp or free states, I’m currently having a lot of fun finding unmarked locations and trying to give them a theme faction build. Currently my favorite is the free states.
I've thought about doing a Responders one. I didn't get enough of the Free States stuff to make s god job of that really. Raiders and BoS are definitely on the cards in the future though.
Darth Xion wow, I need to find more small RU-vid channels like these. You actually respond, and within a couple hours, and you have some of the highest quality builds I’ve seen. I look forward to seeing what you make, your videos will be great inspiration for mine own.
how do you only have 5k subs you should have like 1 million. And can you make a vid with the smallest starter base possible that is functional and nice looking
I also recommend while building is place every workbench and large appliances of whatever you’d want inside your camp to store in and out while building to get rough ideas of how good they will look and fit within the camp. And always make sure your workbenches and whatever can be used easily without freezing or glitching. Is you can making the camera zoom in flawlessly while you enter the animation makes for a perfect placement. Then always place the entrance facing a good looking side
I don't tend to use my Camp for generating resources but that is an option if you want to. For me it's more about having a cool location to visit for storage and crafting. You can display different things you've picked up as you play too. Building for its own sake is pretty fun too.
Building up an inventory of stuff to decorate with does take a while. There's a ton of non atomic shop stuff out there you can use too, but that still takes time to gather. On the plus side though you can update your camp with new items as you get them so it'll develop over time. Much like homes irl. (Unless you do what I do and build something new every week or two)!
If you take over the public workshops at the power stations there are resource extractors already in place at each one that will produce Fusion Cores. Daily Ops, Expeditions, and Public Events can also help to keep you topped up. Lead you can mine from deposits in Lucky Hole mine, (use Excavator Power Armour), as well as finding weights at a few locations around the map. If you're crafting, make sure you have the Super Duper, and Ammosmith perks and the Ammo Factory legendary perk on to maximize your returns. Other than that the Power User perk will double the capacity of your Fusion Cores when equipped. Hope that helps!
If you haven't the camp unit out and it's saying you can't place it, it's probably because either they particular surface is s problem, in which case moving it a few feet should do it, or you may be too close to a marked location, (the nuka cola plant if you're at the spot in the video), so you'd need to move further away from that location. 😊
Here Sir, take my like and subscription. Great video and background music. Informative and relaxing. Ive been struggling to build stuff on 76, specially with the snapping os floors and walls. Your step by step here helped immensely.
very nice zoning, i love the use of wallpaper and floor variations to denote and underline the different rooms hey darth xion id love to see a series of builds around the various prefabs that we have now. like featuring the new red rocket garage built into a house. or adding walls to the Train trailer to make it into a building. im looking at doing a little village based on them and id love to see what someone actually good would do with the concept
Cheers Stephen! I'd like to do something that uses all of them at some point. I'm not sure the log cabin would work with the others, but I've already done a build using that one (and the shed) so I could leave it out.
@@DarthXionGames I've been thinking the same thing. Like a little village of shacks and scavenged trailers. My idea was to make them all in like a cul de sac and make one of them my sleeping quarters, one a benders shop, one for my companion and another enforced the workshop.
That would work. You'd need plenty of decoration between them to fill out the spaces though. Could be challenging with budgets, but you wouldn't need too much inside so it could work.
@@DarthXionGames yeah, my plan is probably 2 of the Red rocket Garages (1 for Venders and the other for workshops, then 2 of the train carriages put together with both entryways facing each other (one for my bedroom + living room and the other for Cooking and Booze workshops) i actually missed the Seedy shack and the Cabin would look weird in the build imo put in a farm and some water purifiers to fill space and the rest is decoration. what do you think?
Sounds good to me. I think the shed could look ok in there too. It's reasonably industrial looking. The log cabin would stick out though. It's a bit too clean 😂
I can't say I've ever had trouble with it tbh though I hear others have. I've not heard much talk about it recently which is probably a good sign though.
I think that was just a glitch. Technically they're still there, just invisible and with no collision. If you were to try to place something there the stairs would still block it. They reappear when you log back into a server.
i loved this! i think the only annoying part is not having all the wallpapers and decorations to make the camp feel alive but thats not your fault. honestly one of the best explanations as well, amazing work dude!
Any of that stuff that came from the atomic shop will come back around. They rotate the stock every Tuesday so it's worth checking back then if there's something specific you're looking out for.
Hard to say without seeing the problem, but try the other triangle. If it's not that then it could be an angle issue, you might need to move around to get it to snap.
When they snapped on to the end of the upper floors? That's what they're supposed to do, unfortunately though railings in general were broken by a change made to the game a while ago, when it was fixed somehow that particular part got missed, and we're still waiting on it being sorted.🙄
@@DarthXionGames Typical Bethesda. 🤦♂️ At least F76 isn't nearly as broken as it was during BETA and its first month. That's about how long I lasted my first go around before I gave up on it. Just picked it up again about 2 months ago, and have been having a ball! Half-railings aside, love the build! Definitely gave me some insight on how to mess around with the walls and roofs, and gave me some ideas with the "overhanging" upper floor above the lower deck/crafting area. Great work all-around! ✌🖤🤘
