Fallout 76's New Player Experience in 2024

I had a much more positive experience with Fallout 76 this go around. I made a new character and decided to exit the vault as an instant level 20. Here are my thoughts with as little snark and bias as I could muster.

I love how this game is claimed to have an "Amazing Community" and it really does have my personal definition of an amazing community. An online game where no one talks to you and leaves you alone. Perfection.

A lot of us have a mic and love to talk and be friendly. 76 is unique in that most players won't speak unless spoken to.

The issue at 6:50 is that you took a snap in the photomode and like starfield this game uses photos you take as loading screens. (along with some stock photos they took)

Dude, fucking THANK YOU. I have tried thisagame twice now and i thought i was crazy. This game was a mess when it came out and is still a mess with more shit in it in 2024.

I've had the NPCs dropping dead in many places...even the robots in the Enclave bunker

Russel is showing up because the picture is saved in your photo gallery 😂 Better vid man, the bugs are definitely there but I tend to enjoy it despite that. That NPC death thing is nuts tbh, never seen that. I'm also really lucky with avoiding bugs though tbh. Perk card system has been in since launch, I quite like it. Note on the graphics: the game used to look a lot better at launch. I think they downgraded the textures and some of the lighting to keep the file size down and handle the NPCs better. For me, the game is best when you're running events and getting plans to build your CAMP up.

@@loochieCSsick man, and u know, don’t be afraid to critique the game where it is necessary either. Through this one I noticed a bit of hard shifting away from the criticisms (until the end) which is expected given the reaction to your last one, but the playerbase DOES know the game isn’t perfect. I think a good medium between this video and the last-even if you only play it for a few videos more-would be both natural and fair. You have to note with the community of this game: there’s really no game quite like it. Not in a singleplayer engine with deeper RPG mechanics than the singleplayer games before it anyway. It’s one of few games that can scratch a certain itch for many people, but it’s also been bombarded with hate since day 1; for people who love it, it’s easy to see why they’d get defensive. But they do get the bugs and the issues, trust me. It’s a trade off for the game/community experience which, personally, I don’t think you can find anywhere else. I also think that if you were to reach out to a higher level player in the community you’d probably be able to have him/her show you around some of the cooler aspects of the game. A similar video was made by GameSpot, and it made for a great watch. Think on it!

Happy you gave it what IMO is a fair shot a tip I suggest is looking up a video on .INI performance boosts you can play this game technically without the frame rate locked a lot of bugs that occurred in fallout 4 don't happen as much in 76 cause of certain changes and such however I play at locked framerate for 85 which is better than 60 by a lot not everyone likes to have to do all that stuff to play the game without vsync but better than not being able to at all also I think as a next video would be good to show all of the new systems and different gameplay addition they have made compared to other games mutations is a good place to start since it isn't available in the other fallout games also food buffs is alot cooler in this game depending on what your "build" is melee is something a lot of people hate on this game for but don't realize how op it can be cause melee food buffs all stack together other one sometimes don't depending on what they are

I am a huge fan of these types of games, but I remember picking up this game and it being empty and lifeless a long time ago. Dont release unfinished games…

@@loochieCS I just pulled out my fallout 4 and 76 games from the box in the basement. I’m going to give them another rip once I finish cyberpunk
