@thymeortime1160 nah, it's too high, it should be in z rank. It was released in an awful state, now it's playable but is not an excuse to release an incomplete game at launch (at the beginning there were not even npc lmao)
Disagree...there are many games that are older that have aged well... fallout 3 for example has aged amazing... The first 2 are amazing in every aspect except gameplay,i wont play another one of those games because i know nowdays that i can see what i do rather than read...but its fun with friends if you have someone to share the moment...but yeah if Fallout 2 was remade but not ruined like fallout 3 ...it would be the best
Everyone saw the bugs at first and never gave either a chance. Guarantee most people who don't like it haven't played it. Probably my favorite environment in any fallout game.
After years, updates, patches and what have you it's still a mere shadow of the mainline series. Bethesda, imo, has never been great at dialogue and overarching story, but their Fallout games have been enjoyable in other ways. Fallout 76 however is not that game. It's a shallow, live service, mmo-light husk of a game, even now.
bruh i play it in July and it has the best story, best atmosphere, best characters and best plot. New Vegas is good overall im playing it now halfway to OWB to endgame and i love it. Fallout 1 and 2 has the best story. Fallout 4 has the lowest story of all, self centered and the 76 is Counter Strike.
Fallout 4 was my favorite I have played new Vegas, fallout 3 also. Ik that’s an unpopular opinion but I’m not the story person I love going around shooting visiting places and seeing the world. To me fallout 4 did that well I didn’t hate the story but saw why people did. I liked the settlement option I spent most of my time building them up and seeing the work pay off when I got settlers. For me it’s S tier objectively b tier
@@londarousey8767Oh so you love Fallout 4 let me tell you something another settlement needs your help. That sentence alone make 3 and New Vegas better
People need to give fallout 76 another chance after all the changes that have been made. It’s by far the best fallout game ever made now and people don’t know it because of its forever tarnished in their minds from the launch drama.
I had more fun in new Vegas due to the amazing quests and different outcomes for said quests. Fallout 4 had very bland quests and a shitty story. The only two things I prefer with fallout 4 is the immersive world and gunplay If you like to just explore and fuck around then do fallout 4 If you like a good story and rpg mechanics do fallout new Vegas
Your tier list is great!! Honestly I would put F1 & F3 at S rank. F4, F2, & FNV at A tier. 76(updated) at B. Tactics at C. Brotherhood of Steel at D. Also yeah I’m not crazy about the gameplay for F1 & F2(The camera angle drives me crazy). I’ve never played them before but I’ve watched other channels play the full game and I think the story is fantastic.
@@VisualsOverTime24 Very true. I was able to appreciate the references and character returns in F3 & NV because I looked up the first two games back in 2009. Plus I watch a lot of old movies(AMC & other channels), so I was able to really understand the pop-culture references in every game(love it). For example: I watched the original blade runner and 2049. Those 2 movies really made me appreciate the main story of F4 even more because the entire faction of the institute is pretty much a massive reference to the Tyrell corporation(Plus there are some terminator and Captain America references as well). The 50s style & the funny pop culture references really brought me into the franchise.
Fallout 4 Gameplay is the best But dear god the story is so mid, and if i would prefer to create my own faction rather than help any of the ones that exist, we have a problem
S New Vegas A Fallout B Fallout 3 C Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics D Fallout 4 F Fallout BOS Fallout 3 is like my most played game of them all. My last playthrough was heavily modded and it was fun. The story is dumb though.
I think a lot of people were just riding a high from Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim, and then Fallout: 4 releases which changes a lot but with that bets rid of most rpg elements in their game. You have options, and there is definitely more freedom of choice than Fallout 3, which gets heavy rose tinted glasses treatment imo. The problem is that pretty much all that factions and characters apart from companions kind of suck, they are not interesting, seem fairly one dimensional and don’t really offer any depth to the game. The only people I can genuinely think of that don’t fit this description are Virgil and DIMA. The same goes for the factions, it is not human to be super black or white, most people are morally grey, and their choices reflect that. The Brotherhood value strength and a pure wasteland with them holding the reigns through pretty much military enforced fascism. The institute wants control, and enforces this through terror tactics and asymmetrical warfare. The railroad is way too idealistic and have borderline idiotic goals whilst being so useless vs the institute that they would 100% be fucked without the player, the same goes for the minutemen but you have to do literally everything for them, build their bases, lay the foundation for cooperation, expand their influence and revive them from the dead. The gameplay of 4 is fine, it’s pretty good actually, but the sad part is that Far Harbour showed they can make great questlines and factions with interesting backgrounds and motivations in which the player’s choice makes a difference, but they didn’t do that for the main game. You could skip all dialogue and probably end with more or less the same ending as you would have gotten with carefully picking options, your nickname with the railroad or your speech with the institute might be different but that’s about it. It just feels unfulfilling, Fallout 3 honestly has a lot of the same problems. You will always end up the same, maybe with slightly different allies, but that’s about it.
I like fallout 3 my first fallout game but removing nostalgia fallout 3 is an a tier game the colors are just bland and boring there are so many invisible walls in some places or just rubble when it’s supposed to be an open world game only I’d say 2 good dlcs the Pitt and point lookout and an alright dlc Broken steel and probably the worst and most boring dlc Mothership zeta and you can do whatever you want and it won’t affect and it will still lead to the same outcome either poison the water or don’t. Also sometimes you could just walk and it would just be a blank wasteland also the intro is way too long that’s why fallout new Vegas is actually deserving of S tier good colors the intro is literally just do your looks put in your stats and boom you can basically start leaving and explore the Mojave also there’s much more to explore and the best dlcs in out of every fallout game because there all good the only bad thing is you can’t play after you finish you just restart to your past save file
First it was a mutual agreement on both parties, and second, 18 months wasn't that bad, they had enough time to make the game, they had the assets and engine already there.
@@it2spooky4me79 you think Bethesda wouldve given more if they asked for it? And 18 months is insane given the several years the other games had, even after they developed the engine. But im glad they took the opportunity or else we wouldn’t have NV, but hey it couldve been even better with more time
@@edun4513 Obsidian didn't ask for more time though, if I can remember during a dev interview, I think Obsidian management denied more time, honestly they had enough time, it's just console limitations got in the way, Obsidian were too ambitious with the game, they had to cut so much content, by that time it was over, and Skyrim was around the corner, having 2 major releases next to eachother would've been a bad idea.
Better? That comes down to personal preference. Fallout 3 is my favourite game in the series and is undeniably amazing with the DLCs included. I much preferred it over New Vegas. It truly gave the post apocalyptic feeling.
I don’t like playing as an old man like tbh I don’t wanna be 30 I wanna be my actual age like in Fallout 3 and NV but I agree that Fallout 4 has great power armour, yet so does 76 so I’m not too keen on 4, I also find the square cursor more annoying than the iconic two triangles
Someone who gets it I'm still stuck on if fallout New Vegas or fallout 3. New Vegas has so much but I'm a silly man and fallout 3 matches my energy so i like 3 more and yes I have played both 300 hours on new Vegas prolly 50 or so on 3
@@ryu_007 when I was 15 I played fallout 3 game of the year edition for the 1st time on ps3 and fallout New Vegas on ps3 I’ve Never played the 1st and 2nd one because I Didn’t Know they existed so I am Fond of Fallout 3 and FNV because they were the first 2 fallout games I played I thought fallout 4 was terrible the guns looked goofy and I didn’t like Leveling system was so different I think it should’ve been like Skyrim where, for example that say you pick a lot of locks you’re lockpicking skill increases and have skill perk trees like in Skyrim
I agree tbh I love fallout 3 and fallout new Vegas. I am getting ready to play fallout 4 so wish me luck. Edit: I’ve been playing the fuck outta fallout 4 including its DLCs and fallout 3 and new Vegas DLCs and these are so enjoyable (except operation A for fallout 3)
Fallout 4’s lack of Role playing makes it so tough to make a new character. I actually really like fallout 4’s DLC’s. It just sucks that it’s so hard for me to even make it that far. I just hop back to new Vegas everytime.
Been playing Fallout 76 these past few weeks for the first time. I'm around 80 hours into it (explored every area fully except the swamp-y and red-ish areas on the right, barely touched any quests, I just receive them and move on for now, will finish exploring and then do them) and I'm loving the absolute F out of it. I've only played F1, Tactics and Shelter prior to 76 and this is without a doubt my favorite of the 4 so far. An easy 7/10 if it keeps going like this.
am i the inly one who doesnt like fallout 3 it has an ugly open world that feels empty it doesnt feel like an rpg and its forcing you to side eith bos. for me nv>fallout4>gallout3
Seriously? Fallout 3 is S tier? Same as New Vegas? No way. I'm agree with the whole rest of the tier list, but fallout 3 definitely not an S. Upd: I even think fallout 4 is better than 3 cause both of them are shitty roleplay games, but 4 has better shooter mechanic. So if you want a roleplay game - New Vegas is your choice. If you want a shooter in openworld - Fallout 4
Fallout 3 gives that vibes of a nuclear explosion, dark and gloomy vibes and that classic radio and the ending could be better but Fallout 4 story is meh. New Vegas is by far the most deserving of S tier, if they release it in 2012 it will be the best game out there.
Yeah, that perplexed me as well. FNV shits all over F3 and 4 as well. Was gonna give a like for video until I saw he lumped the very shallow F3 in with FNV.
Have you actually tried to play the older games 🤣🤣🤣. I have to save every 2 min cause fallout 1 likes to crash every 5 minutes. Also, don’t get me started on how your companions might accidentally shoot friendly npcs and turn the entire town guard hostile plus some of the quests just don’t work
@@anomalousscientist4721 if you didn't install a fix for the game you are playing them wrong because they are very old and need those fixes, and 2, that doesn't happen ever because companions doesn't shoot until you shoot someone, so you didn't even played them or you are just really bad
@@heliogonzalezsanchez8227 well let’s hear this genius… what if you are rescuing the brotherhood initiate? The raiders are hostile as soon as you open the door and if your allies accidentally shoot the guarding police, the whole hub turns against you. Let’s also talk about how combat literally makes no sense. Super mutants with miniguns barely make a dent on your power armour, but a praying mantis hits you with a critical 73hp and one shots you? You can knock a raider to the ground, have 95% chance to hit and still miss, WHILE HE IS ON THE BLOODY GROUND. What about the endings? I thought this game had an amazing story! Why did followers get destroyed despite you defeating the master and destroying the fev vats? Why is it the same fate for the hub? It doesn’t make sense does it?Why are half of the quests in the boneyard cut? Also, let’s talk about for it being an RPG you have a very limited choice in what SPECIAL points you can allocate. You don’t want to do a high agility build? Well have fun having 2 moves per turn. Turn based strategy games can either be one of the best ever (Heroes of might and magic 3) where small victories involving clever strategy are integral to build a character and win the final battle or hot garbage (Fallout 1) where small victories are insignificant as levelling up in this game is tedious af. There is fuck all strategy, you just have to pray your 95% shot doesn’t miss. I am glad Bethesda bought the IP cause otherwise we would have fallout 3 being a shitty turn based strategy game Also I like how your best defence is ‘You haven’t even played the games’ I didn’t play fallout 2 hopefully it has improvements on this but I did play fallout 1 and it was some of the most miserable experience ever.
@@anomalousscientist472 fallout 1 had a very good story and the combat is not that bad, it's the first fallout after all, all the world building was new and the combat is more luck based than other RPGs but it's not that bad. Still over all fallout 1 not garbage by any means. Not to mention that fallout 1 is not a strategy game, if anything is a tactic game
@ooaaa1k828 I never had to install anything for the fallout 3, NV and 4. I SHOULDNT HAVE TO INSTALL ANYTHING EXTERNAL JUST SO THE GAME CAN RUN. But yeah, please proceed to defend this garbage ass game
There definitely is some nostalgia bias with Fallout 3. It used to be my favorite next to NV, but that was when I was a lot younger. When I could understand the themes, stories and setting better Fallout 3 just falls short. The atmosphere is still great, don’t get me wrong, but there really isn’t a lot more freedom of choice than there is in Fallout 4, a piece of gameplay design for which Fallout 4 often loses spots higher in the rankings. The Far Harbour DLC for 4 has more influential choices than 3 in its entire main plot line. Fallout: New Vegas definitely is the S-tier game, the only thing that held it back was how wonky and buggy it was, but recently I started a new playthrough and that has been pretty much free of any crashes. It potentially has the most memorable characters in the entire Fallout setting with a possible top 5 in no specific order being Robert House, Ulysses, Joshua Graham, Caesar and Father Elijah. Companions like Raul Tajeda, Boone and Veronica might also be the top 3 followers in any Fallout game. The main story line has many options, is long and memorable, and has great endings depending on your actions throughout the game. Oh and btw, don’t like someone? You can kill absolutely everyone in the game (except yes-man because the game needs to end). Fallout 3 gets a lot of the atmosphere right but lacks in gameplay (combat) depth and meaningful choices, its A tier, it gets points for its interesting side quests and characters, a bunch of truly unique DLC’s and general ‘feel’ of the wasteland. It suffers from poor enemy leveling, bad combat mechanics and strange distribution of high and low risk areas (Old Olney is between the starting area and the Republic of Dave whilst the latter is an obvious early game fun sidequest and the former is the most dangerous place in the wasteland). Fallout 4 lacks in freedom of choice pretty much everywhere, the rpg element is almost fully lacking from that game, and the main story line isn’t great as well, but it is atleast very fun to play and there is enough interesting content to keep you coming back for another playthrough, I’d say a decent A-tier, definitely not lower than high B-tier. The gunplay is the best in the series, I only wish there were more actual memorable uniques like the Dinner Bell or Medicine Stick in Fallout NV. If you can kill a legendary mole rat in hour 1 and get an explosive shotgun there is no challenge and no real reason to search for other items, which kills a lot of potential excitement. Fallout: 76 might be the most hated, comfortably, but it also has a great unique setting only being 25 years after the bombs fell. The enemies you fight are diverse and varied, the multiplayer element, whilst in my opinion not really necessary as this could be a cool Fallout 4.5, brings something new to the table. The lore in this region, Appalachia, is surprisingly good, with a lot of mystery and great addition of cryptids and other legendary creatures. It suffered from a comparable buggy launch as Fallout NV, possibly even less so, and was released with really not enough depth. The game honestly is fine now, not the best but not super horrible either. A comfortable B tier and a possible A for the person whom this game really filled that niche for. Sadly I haven’t played Fallout 1 & 2 but I am planning on doing that in the near future, looking forward to seeing the OG’s of this series where it all really started.
3 had some good enemy types. I wish I could transfer the ghoul reavers, super mutant overlords, albino radscorpions and behemoths over to New Vegas from 3. Reavers were a lot tougher in 3 and the albino rad scorpions were bullet sponges as well. It would be cool to have them spawn in at level 20 to prevent me from feeling overpowered you know? Would love to see some of the fallout 3 enemy types be transferred over to New Vegas and remade within the fallout 4's engine. Give obsidian more than 18 months to remake it.... I swear it would be hands down... A masterpiece
There's a video showing all the cut content from New Vegas And it makes me very upset because I just know that one of the best games ever made could have been even better if given more time 😭
1.Fallout New Vegas 2.Fallout 1 3.Fallout 2 4.Fallout Tactics 5 Fallout 3 6 Fallout 4 7 Fallout Brotherhood of steel 8.Fallout 76 The only fallout games I like are the og games and new Vegas, Bethesda killed the franchise
Fallout BoS is terrible, kinda a shitty ranking, im prob gonna edit that since its way too high up. I dont like the bethesda fallout games because of their writing, its really depressing to see how much they disregarded the first 2 games lore. I also hate a lot of the choices bethesdas made as a company in regards to fallout. Bethesda Fallout feels like a completely different game.
@@Pelayum Brotherhood of Steel def marked the end of the series golden age. I still cant believe how someone looked at it and gave the greenlight. It was a sign of bad things to come, The one positive thing i can say about Bethesda Fallout is that they let obsidian make the last truly great fallout. Personally the ideal situation wouldve been if bethesda didnt outbid Tim Cain's company he had at the time, and the og creator of fallout got control of the series. It'd be so much more than oblivion with guns.
For me its like 1 new vegas story awsome 2 fallout 4 the gameplay and graphics are great amazing story was pretty good And the game is pretty damn fun with mods And 3 is fallout 3 then the others are just behind them
I personally do not agree with the placement of tactics because it is pretty good brotherhood of steel should have it’s own tier below d and falllout 3 should not be in s maybe a bit I would say b

76 is A and 4 is S in my opinion. 76 has come a long way, it was horrible at launch but is pretty good now. And in my opinion 4 is the best game of the series.
@AngellusStar buddy new vegas is mid as hell no one cares about dialogue options also fallout 4 is like 10 times better than new vegas stop glazing that game its usable and people have to run that game through nexus in order to even play for 5 minutes without crashing

I had 3 as high as NV until pretty recently, when I played them all again and 3 was really lacking in a lot of areas imo.
