It amused me how the Vault Tec agent’s terminal was set up for him to document the events that would happen when the stash was unveiled, and he wrote how excited he was to see what would happen, but it was his final entry.

Plot twist all the drugs are placebos or sugar pills. Honestly this would probably be more tragic

Honestly there's only one normal(somewhat) vault tec employee and that's the one that came knocking on our door

The only sane Vault-tec employee was the Overseer in Fallout 4 that locked the mad scientists away from the rest of the dwellers when they tried infecting people with diseases.

As a recovering addict, I've always found Vault 95 truly terrifying.

I think this is the most unrealistic Vault, honestly. After 5 years of going clean even hardcore addicts wouldn't feel any desire to relapse immediately, certainly not in a society built around mutual support and freeing yourself from dependence on drugs. They'd probably decide as a group to destroy the drugs. But, Fallout assumes the worst in people

Giving them chems in the end didn't even help the study, they just did it because they felt like it

I will never understand why after the apocalypse happened the vault tech employees still wanted to do their evil experiments even tho it was pointless and suicidal at that point

One of my favorite parts of my Fallout are how the Vaults are always a crapshoot; their either "Vault of Hammering Radioactive Nails into Testicles" or "Vault of Rainbows and Puppies" 😅

Reading the terminals in this vault was really tragic. You got to read from the perspective of the planted Vault Dweller, and one of the normal residents who ended up resorting to chems (iirc) to cope with the ongoing war within the vault between the residents.

Man the vault tech agent had absolutely no reason to do this

As a man with addiction and knows the cravings and pain of withdrawals I can say this is the worst thing someone can do to others yes you can argue there was and is worse things out there but they was truly evil in this incident. It such a small thing to others.

*Vault tech coming up with ideas* Scientist 1: "And that's my idea." Scientist 2: "Obviously that's going to result in absolute chaos. What a stupid idea. What's next, a Vault where we release a wild panther as soon as the doors seal?" Scientist 1: *starts scribbling* Scientist 2: "What are you writing?" Scientist 1: "Nothing. 🙂"

Something about all of this history followed by, 'the vault is now occupied by the gunners' and then nothing else is comedy gold.

This vault breaks my heart as someone who has struggled with sobriety and recovery. I'm sure there were some who genuinely wanted to get clean and were probably happier for it, only to have it all be ripped away like that.

Such a sad display. To think some actually tried to avoid it and others become hostile for it. The family bond that it shattered. I just hoped (pretty sure there's one) that a vault is only filled with prosperous lives and good intentions. Edit- I just realized that Vault 76 was the aforementioned vault. Whoops

Jet, a drug made after the greatwar in New Reno is found in the vault. Proving once again Bethesda didnt do their homework

Something I find interesting about this vault, you go here to help fair with her addiction, since they have a special technology that can cure most addictions. But that’s only the physical side(afaik), it doesn’t cure the mental side effects of addiction from the user, just the physical ones

Vault 95, for its exact purpose, is why it's in my top five of horrible vaults. It's like, why even build the vault in the first place if it's going to end up in disarray because of the experiment? Also, doing what they did to people who legit wanted to get clean is so cold, it's practically cryogenic.

Vault tech employees are so loyal that they keep working even when the company who pays them is reduced to atoms.

That vault tec agent was Truly a genius „some psycho pre war organisation that doesnt exist anymore put me to destroy one of the last if not the last(to my knowledge) bastion of humanity on a scorched destroyed planet and get all my loved ones and most likely myself dead in resulting skirmishes over the drug stash or due to radiation from gates opened by desperate exjunkies wanting to escape with their lives, i better do it even tho said organisation has No way of checking if i did, punishing me if i dont or rewarding me if i do, and all this to gather „scientific data” that would be literally useless even if civilisation survived, not to mention in a current situation”(like this „experiment” proves nothing, if they did the same with pre war straight edge people they would get identical results but maybe it would take a little longer,theres basically to way to live in a tiny underground bunker Your whole life without ever seeing the sky or the sun again, during post apocalypse after all Your friends and family dying and NOT get severely depressed and looking for relief in drugs, its well documented irl, look up mouse utopia experiment, not to mention lack of control sample or any scientific methodology lmao)

Honestly idk why someone from the company would be dumb enough to do that since they are stuck in there with everyone else.

Vault-tec did not create this vault as a re-hab just like a good majority of their vaults, it was a lab experiment to see what would happen if you got addicts clean and then re-introduced drugs back to the recovering addicts.

This Vault is also the only place with a portal to the future. Amongst the chems that were stashed there was jet, while that wasn't even invented yet.

And one year after that everyone in the vault was killed by one guy.

The Fallout franchise is a surprising take on humanity's limits.

I only played the first fallout game 1997, and then training came, then career, family. Then rediscovered an entire expanded lore beyond what I knew. It is as if I was like one of the vault dwellers locked up 26 years not knowing what's out there 😂

80% chance some who got clean and knew how bad things could get would probably have killed whoever had the chems and lied to the rest about them. Telling them they didn't exist/were a lie. The vault is destroyed by the AI/overseer because they didn't do the test "correctly" like a terrible bethesda karma thing a generation later. They go in and find people dead and in the overseers office a small cache of chems.

My ultimate favorite fallout 4 lore vault storyline has to be the one where the experiment was to put the brains of the vault dwellers into robots and you have to solve a murder case like a detective. Always has good loot and the characters dialogue is pretty funny

I made… SO MUCH… money off the drugs in that vault, and still had so many drugs left for when I actually needed drugs. I was not unhappy about finding this vault. Like there was only one other drug mission that made me so much money.

Btw if you go into vault-Tec regional HQ you can find a terminal that says they shipped a bunch of psycho and jet.

Ngl when I first raided the place, there was so much gunners that I didn't have the time to read the lore, so just suspected that this was another one of their main bases.

One time while I was playing some more Fallout 4, I came across Vault 95 and took a little visit through. Very clean and nice people. A couple days later, I decided to revisit the vault and see everyone again. But when I got there, those gunner guys got to them and wasted the whole place and killed everyone. It was very sad to see the people I just met a couple days ago get killed.

All I ever think of when I saw this place was that Assaultron

They really phoned in the vaults in fallout 4. 3 and new vegas i actually hesitated going in new ones because of the unknown. The experiments were the main focus of the vaults, not just being mob spawns for endless enemies
