What's your favourite Fallout game and why is it New Vegas?

Grinding for all those achievements almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter :P

12:18 Attacking the Thorn? That's a paddlin'. Amazing work, Jazzy Jr. FNV was and still is a masterpiece. The fact it hasn't had a remaster is still one of gaming's mysteries. Personally, I've beat it through three times, one on Vanilla, and 2 with Ultimate Edition. Might do it again soon. Maybe a Melee build this time... But of course, the full experience of FNV awaits... Shouldn't be all that hard as I recall; all the DLC achievements are just the casual playthrough.

I have compleated the whole of new vegas back in the ps3 days. I still remember the biggest failure I could do back then. while using the Torn to farm the damages, I went there with explosives!

As a speedrunner; It blows my mind that you chose to do the “grindiest” achievements on your hardcore run. Would have made more sense to make your fastest run the hardcore one.

I loved this game when i decided to get all of the Fallout game achievements a few years ago. I still do and find myself playing the game every now and then too. Just been putting off Fallout 76 as i'm stuck on the last four. All the best of luck with that one :D

This games hardcore mode was super trivial. Never really found myself out of resources of whatever, plus I could still fast travel pretty far distances.

I've probably consumed thousands of hours of New Vegas content, from playing it myself and to watching fine people like you play it. And in all my hours, I've literally only ever seen Oliver Swanick not get shot in the face only like 3 times. 1 was my first playthrough and I never made the same mistake of not shooting him ever again. Is there some kind of psychic link every New Vegas player has that tells them to kill him?

You can actually break the bank on a 1-luck character. Just start a roulette game, place it all on zero and reload if you fail. You'll get it eventually.

You get to a point while playing New Vegas for the 50th time where you end up getting all the achievements by accident.

This reminds me that I need to polish this game off...I'm still missing 20 achievements between the base game and the DLC. Anyway, loved seeing you grind it out and look forward to the DLC video.

You aren't done yet, the DLC for New Vegas has more achievements and this includes the Gun Runners Arsenal challenges, and mostly completing all the DLC. So yeah you've still got around 20 achievements left.

9:15 What I *think* happened here is that you sold 10k caps worth of items, but only got 8k caps because things aren’t actually sold for their listed value. Ok nevermind, it’s just New Vegas being New Vegas

Still of the opinion that fallout NV is not a true fallout game because it has internal invisible walls. If I want to spend hours scrambling up a steep mountain so I can take pot shots at deathclaws in a quarry from a position they can't reach me that's my business. It's not up to the developer to block me with nonsensical invisible walls that aren't lore friendly. Putting high level enemies (casadors) on the path to prevent me from walking straight from good springs to new Vegas is fine. I can still try my luck and duck and dodge and weave and spend as much time trying again and again as I choose. But there's nothing I as a player can do against an invisible wall. I can also accept invisible walls on the outside border because the game world isn't infinite and it gives me a prettier skybox. But there should be no hard limit internally. Fallout games are about freedom. Fallout 3 doesn't have invisible walls. Fallout 4 doesn't have invisible walls. Ergo, fallout NV is not a true fallout game.

I still don't understand how so many ppl struggle with caravan, not as in they don't really want to play it like you did, which is fair enough, but outright claim it's too complicated or impossible to learn Ringo literally gives you a holotape with all the rules and since it's in a videogame it's not like you have to consider if a move is legal or not, if it's not permitted the game just won't allow you to make it just read the rules with your human eyes and trial-and-error any "ok but can I do [this]?" questions you might have against ringo, this ain't repconn rocket science

I am pretty sure Yes Man will never hate the player, LOL I might be wrong, and maybe someone already pointed this out? But pretty sure he is a fail-safe of sorts. If you manage to piss off the other three factions before getting far enough in the main story. Then the Wild Card route gives you a means of still finishing the story, so you do not make the main quest line impossible to finish.

These achievements are… special I had to use a glitch to get the food healing achievement because it would have been me just standing there eating Brahmin steak for 5 hours but in general the achievements were pretty fun For the gun runner achievements I abused a perk that gave you a weaker version of turbo and a silenced pistol to kill a bunch of deathjaws Overall it’s a prettt good run

This game is an masterpiece,the fact also it was my made by the original studio behind fallout 1 and 2 makes it all better.

If you ever get the chance try to complete far cry 3 or 4. They are, in my opinion, the best far cry games! Though Far cry 4 does have some achievements that require co-op.

The DLC’s are good, but then money is absolutely a survival whore You know you could’ve fixed your reputation with the NCR. Just go ahead and go to the divide and the Legion you didn’t really have to restart all the way from the bottom but I get the point. Well, you do what you did actually, I kinda wanted to tell you if you can do in Vegas, but you kind of beat me to it.

FNV was a game id owned for almost a decade. 4 or 5 playthroughs until last year i finally sat down and 100%ed it. What a hell of a game

I think Boone's little quest to get revenge for his wife is what made me fall in love with this game. Another great video Jazzys Child! Can't wait for the DLCs hopefully!

Absolutely one of the best games of the series, and definitely worth noting that it was developed by a lot of the old Fallout devs rather than Bethesda... hopefully an upside of Micrisoft now owning all parties involved we can see another similar game, or even just a remaster that actually runs properly on modern systems. Look forward to seeing the DLCs as they are an absolutely *WILD* ride... and yeah not surprised Dead Money is giving you issues, it's always been the buggiest of the DLC as it really pushed the limitations of the engine. And now it's that time for me to once again massively recommend Nier Automata; interesting characters, great combat, amazing music, and some rather quirky achievements.
