Judging a game quality by how they sold IS what is actually crazy. It just mean the marketting team did a good job, not that the game is any good by any standard. On the other side, some indie games are discovered a long time after their release (hello Among Us), and same goes with artist in history (how many now well known artist lived in misery because they weren't recognized for their art while alive?) To me its that the world felt alive, every quest you did could have major consequences down the line, most quests could be completed in multiple ways, I recently started replaying 4 and I got so pissed of at the limited dialogue option, like explaining if youre going to kill Danse to Haylen is basicly "I listen to you" "I no listen to you" "Why you care" "It my duty"

This really feels like answering to air, I have literally met no one that aggressively likes FO76 to the point of wanting to prove that its better than new vegas, closest ive seen is people just liking 76 more, because they just arent a fan of singleplayer games or story focused stuff, which is fine.
Not as much loving 76 but hating new vegas (and 3) to the point of wanting to prove that even 76 which is hated is better than that/those games. Those people usually think 4 is the best. We basically have 3 eras of fans now: - 1+2+tactics: can actually handle the isometric gameplay, usually heavily dislikes all modern games for all the lore inconsistencies bethesda created and for the stories overall seeming less Intresting, accepts new vegas to a degree, considers 2 the peak of the series - 3+new vegas: usually can't handle isometric gameplay of older games and finds the story of 4 and 76 quite disappointing, hates 76 with a passion, likes 3 and 4 (sometimes also 2, if they force themselves to learn how to play it) considers new vegas the be all end all - 4+76: can't stand the gunplay of the older titles *at all*, feels an incredible fury whenever someone says they prefer new vegas for not being able to get into it themselves, consider 4 the best game in the series, isn't even aware that the first games weren't FPS
i don’t hate any of them, i just think they all got strengths and flaws, but i still love the franchise. new vegas felt clunky and not super satisfying to play, but I think the story is rad and I love all of the different ways playthroughs can go depending on what decisions you make. 4 felt really satisfying and nice in actual gameplay, but the story didn’t really engage me and there weren’t as many ways I felt like I could influence it. no matter how much I modded it, it just got old after a while. this is why i am hyped for f4nv, it’s like the best parts of each in one game
@@theultimatefreak666 I can't play 4 after 76 myself and wish 3 and NV were ported to a modern engine because I actually liked them back then, but they feel too aged for me now. I don't mind battle royale as a concept if it can be done correctly. Many games don't and the battle pass shit ruins any game it touches. Not for Fallout though, of course. A game I actually want a battle royale mode in is the upcoming Space Marine sequel, one where you can only play as traitor marines because that's actually canon to what happens in the warp with all the Chaos Marines fighting each other. Make it gory and gruesome, make melee viable, have Chaos "blessings" and abilities depending on what Traitor Legion you choose (Thousand Sons are psykers, World Eaters get a bonus to melee and CQC, Word Bearers can summon demons, Death Guard has offensive and defensive disease abilities, Iron Warriors probably get a resistance to warp effects and offensive maneuvers in general, I can make zero predictions for the Alpha Legion's shit, etc). I get that BR is a bit played out but I think it would be fun if implemented correctly.
@@addison_v_ertisement1678 1. Thank you for the spell check 2. With that said, what population of 76 players are left to make up 2% who don't argue, let alone 97%? But hey! At least their fraction of a following is free from the discourse that plagues such games as Vegas. I've never really looked at it that way before. Still, just because something's following is small doesn't mean its any less valued. I've heard they've really fixed many of the bugs and added a lot of interesting stuff for diehard fans to enjoy. Maybe I'll try it someday. Still need a bit more Mojave air though.
To be fair, I have played and enjoyed all the modern fallouts, I started playing 76 two weeks ago for the first time and actually really enjoy it. I had very low expectations but I guess since launched they’ve moulded it into what they originally envisioned and as a fallout fan I’m having a blast
tbh their all good (ive played nv, 4 and 76) but the fallout 4 engines guns are goofy and we can all admit that and fallour 4s story kind of just isnt very free like nv, same with 76. i hate how restraining modern fallouts are tbh but they are decent fun when you have good gear
Playing new vegas for first time I murked Mr house with my alien blaster but idk whether to join the ncr or legion ncr have cool armour but legion seem based been helping brotherhood of steel cos there only ones I've seen with power armour
I feel like this is reversed. The Fallout 76 enjoyer just enjoying the game regardless of the problems it has, while the New Vegas fan tries to attack them. Honestly New Vegas fans are wild animals.
I like how the 76 fan tried to argue that a battle royale mode made it better than NV. But as of the Fallout Worlds update that mode has been removed entirely. Plus the end game for 76 is kinda dull. I played four characters to level 150+ and I still find NV, FO3 and FO4 to be better than 76 overall. Great video and song as well.
I'd argue it's the opposite, I've seen a few New Vegas fans tell others in the fallout community to kill themselves just for preferring a game that isn't new vegas
Yep, that's the etiquette. You can't claim to have enjoyed a thing without being able to defend it along with every fault it has, because saying you enjoy something apparently means that you think it's better than what they enjoy now, I guess.

The thing about 76 is it's good but only if you play it just to explore since it has great world building, and bringing a friend doesn't hurt. It's a beautiful looking game too, even though it runs off the fallout 4 engine. Still isn't as good as NV but im enjoying it so far.
To expand on this too, I also like that they brought back the settlememt building but it's not as annoying as FO4 where you have a ridiculous amount of settlements to build. My hope is the next fallout game brings it back, but not only make it a c.a.m.p system where you can build anyhwere but polish it up and bring in teraformimg options so you don't have so many floating object because the ground clipping is bad.
